Bra fitting help » How many cup sizes too small?
Ewa Michalak » Pl Lilia (158) » 60J 28:13
This was my first Ewa Michalak bra, ordered through the Big Bra Bar. I love how it looks, and the band is comfortable and supportive, but the cups are obviously too small. Should I go up one, two, or more cup sizes? (The pictures do not include the removable push up pads).

helpfulThree to say the least. I also think you will be needing that extra gore hight in the bigger size so your boobs wont escape in the middle. I actually thought it was bravissimos satine at first glance - you might want to look into that one or the freya deco if you prefer a more dramatic plunge, because the gore will not be so low in ewas bigger sizes.

Ch and pl are about the same size wise, th chp style runs a bit larger. I didn't know they made a pl mak - are you sure it's not chp? Because if it is, it may very well fit you perfectly. There are slight differences between bras in the same cut so you won't know until you tried. However, I do think you will be able to get away with it if it's only a cupsize too small. If not, Im sure it won't be hard selling them here :)

The PL Mak isn't listed, but I really wanted a red plunge bra and emailed them asking nicely and they said they could do that for me :)

helpfulSomeone else entered in a cup depth of 13.5" for the 75J (34J) in this bra. You have said you are a 13" breast perimeter. In cup sizes, if you're a 28J, then that would be a 30I, a 32H, and a 34G. The difference between the 34G and the 34J is 3 cup sizes. Because the 34J is 13.5" and you have marked 13" as your breast perimeter, I would assume that the 34J cup size would be too large for you, so you might try going to only 2 cup sizes to see if you get a better fit with your 28 band size.
Anyone else see flaws with this reasoning, or have other suggestions?
One thing to note: as you are full on top and on bottom, this style of bra is going to give you cleavage. The goal with this particular style is only to remove the quad boob from the top of the cups, not to prevent your breasts from meeting. I think it is a style that will compliment your figure if you can get the cups to fit properly, regardless of the height of the center gore.

Thank you! Sounds like sound reasoning to me... And I hope it's true as the next bra I've ordered in this style is a 28K, so two sizes up! And I'm glad that it will probably still give me cleavage!

Let us know how the new size works. I wish you luck!

The reasoning is sort of good but you forgot to use the EM size system. Otherwise I would definitly go by what you suggest. :)
A 34J is equal to a 32JJ, a 30K and a 28KK.
A 28J is equal to a 30HH, a 32H and a 34GG.The difference is still three cup sizes though. :)

Good point! You are right.

helpfulI realized while looking at these pictures that the band looks too tight, so I added one of me pulling it back. It stretches away fairly easily. I just have a surprisingly squishy torso for someone with a small underbust measurement- my "loose" measurement is between 27.5" and 28.5", but my tight measurement goes all the way down to 26".

Just wanted to add that the way-too-small cup size might be contributing to it looking too tight anyway :)

helpfulCups are definitely too small. But remember, for you case, if you go up cup sizes remember the band size should stay the same and not go too tight.
2 cups up if you want the right fit now. I don't know if you have underarm tissue or back tissue since I can't see it from the pictures, if so, leave even more room in the cups for it.
Of course, this is our personal opinion.

Thank you! I wish I'd thought to ask here before I made my Christmas Ewa order - I got a 60K in a PL Mak. I think I can deal with just one cup size too small though! I also ordered a CH Karmelki in a 28JJ- do you know if the cups in the CH and PL styles fit to a similar size?
And I have a Freya Deco... but it's a 30G, so WAY too small haha. I still wear it when I want a lot of cleavage though :P I prefer lower gores so I'm a little nervous for how high the gores on the larger sized Ewas are, but her designs are so pretty I think I'll get over the higher gore!
