Bra fitting help » Wire cutting in under the arm

Issue resolved
Larger cup, longer wires
Original problem
This cuts in really badly under the armpits. It hurts a lot. Also, I end up with a lot of boob spilling out over the top/side. Is this an issue withe the cup being to small, my shape not fitting well in the model or do I just need really high wing under wire?

helpfulThe band is way too big on you, especially if it stretches that much to 39 inches! So it looks like a combination of the band not being tight enough along with the cups being too small, since from the first picture you can see there is a lot of side tissue that isn't being contained.
I checked the other Fleurty bra measurements and the 30 bands don't seem as overly stretchy, so a 30 might be tight on you. I'm not sure but I think a band size down and two cups up would be a good starting place? So a 32G.

I wouldn't normally suggest someone going down that much of a band size, but the CK padded bras tend to run stretchier and I was going by the measurements listed on the site. All the 32 bands stretched to just over 34 inches, so it seemed to be one of the stretchier bands. :) Especially when she listed her 34 band stretching to 39. And sometimes when you have a little more padding around the ribcage some prefer it a little tighter than their measurement for the right support like in my case.
Also to me it looked like the band looks tighter now than it would be in the right size since the cup is so small on her.
Anyways it was just what I thought from my own experience and was just trying to help, but it's great to hear different ideas and opinions from more experienced people like you. =)

I have this bra in size 32FF and it stretches to a bit past 34 inches. maybe with an extender - but the FF, which is the size I'd recommend in this style in the 32 band is a 3 hook bra instead of a 2 hook.

helpfulI bet you didn't swoop and scoop and I bet you'd get major overspill if you did
Here's how
http://brasandbodyimage.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/putting-your-bra-on-properly/Now this is important, this is how you see how wide the wires should be for you.
And brcause of the back & side fluff we see in the picture, you might be even having a hard time determening where is the root of your breasts. Next time you're on your pms and boobs start hurting, you need to grope yourself you sould feel up your boobs with fingers and see how far back does it hurt under arm, thats where your root is and that's where you measure.
Now, swooping and scooping is also important to see if the band really is too big for you and from the pictures I wouldn't say it is.
So if you could report back with swooped in oectures that'll be great.
From what I see (And I see the bigger boob quadboobing as it is) i'd say stay with the band and go up 2 cupsizes in this bra, so 34 G if you ask me. It might end up being a little too big, but you will experience at least a cupsizes worth of migration - what Im saying is your boobs will grow.
However, I think bravissimo halfcups will be MUCH better for youUpdated on January 27, 2013 Flag this

helpfulCupwise the bras seems to fit you, but just like Vee I would suggest that you try to swoop and scoop. It can be that the wires are still too narrow and prevent you from swooping properly though.
As for the poking wires, I too think you need higher wires. You got that right and kudos to you for that, bc many think that if the wires poke they need lower wires.
Going for a larger cup will get you higher wires. Also Curvy Kate is known for having relatively short wires in certain sizes.
I would thus switch to older Panache Superbra models like Tango II, Ariza, Fern, Harmony or even Confetti. Another brand with higher wires is Wacoal.

I agree to the higher wires. I'm finding I like them better, especially for containing and helping migrate my sideboob back home where it should be.
I'm short (5' 4"-ish) and the most comfortable side gores I have had on so far were 5.7" high (:O) -- too bad the bra they were a part of had straps that fell outside my shoulders.

helpfulI don't think the band is too big... I think the cup is too small or simply not the right shape for you!

I think a 32 band on her would be too tight in general. Keep in mind that bras are designed by their manufacturers to be worn with 4 inches added. Yes, it does not work that way. But it also means that going down to a 32 band will most likely have negative effects on fit.
