Bra fitting help » Space in bottom of cups, wrinkling yet quadboobing?

Issue resolved
Just not the right shape for me!
Original problem
I've been wearing this bra for a while now, but I've never been totally happy with the fit. Originally, it just seemed like it gave me a pointy shape, but now I'm having some other issues, too.
It seems like there is space at the bottom of the cup, even when I try to pull up the underwires to meet the bottom of my breast tissue. This problem is worse on the bottom sides, where there is a finger's width of room in the cups with no tissue. When I take off the bra after wearing it for a while, the red marks are about 0.5-0.8 inches further out than my breast tissue. However, the actual measurements of this bra compared to others that fit me suggest that it is not simply that the wires are too wide, because they are just as wide as my other freya bras(which may have their own issues, but are certainly not too wide).
Also, it seems like I get both wrinkling and quadboobing at the top. It's difficult to photograph the quadboobing because it is not major, but you can definitely see the line of the lace cutting into the breast tissue through t-shirts. The light blue fabric seems to wrinkle sometimes, seemingly because my breasts are conforming to this weird pointy shape.
The back of the bra sits pretty much level(can't manage to take a picture by myself -- will try to get one later if necessary). The straps feel fine, and the problems persist regardless of adjusting straps tighter or looser. Also, if you can't tell, I am more full on bottom but not totally "empty" on top.
This is a 28FF. I measure 27" underbust(give or take 0.5") and 36" over. Would this problem be solved by going up a cup size? Or is it simply the wrong shape for me?
Thanks everyone!

helpfulIt sounds like the cups aren't deep enough for you, which means you're not settling into the bottom of the cups - the tissue sits higher and you get quadboob.
The wires look like they are sitting in the right place on your body, so I don't think that going up a cup size is going to help. This might just be the wrong shape for you.
Also, the quadboob isn't really noticeable at all. Does it fit like this during all times of the month? (I.e. is this when you are on your period, or not? How much does your size change over the course of the month?).

I agree whith this diagnosis and just want to add that you should give cleo bras a shot :) I think you might be happier with the shape and fit :)

I think, ultimately, that the size is good.....but maybe you could try a style with a stretch lace upper cup? Or at least, the upper cup should have a little bit of give (if you can't find a style with more depth).

I think I'm going to go for an Ewa Michalak bra soon and hope it is really as narrow and deep as everyone keeps saying. I have a tiny frame, so my breasts really are narrow and projected moreso than other 28FF frames, I guess.
I will keep my eyes out for the lace upper cup styles... I think the Jolie might be like that, which is currently one of my better fitting bras, despite the too big band.
Thank you!

helpfulUnfortunately, I agree with greenpianokeys, going up in cup size is normally what I would suggest, but I think then the cups would end up being too wide for your shape
Perhaps you could try other brands with narrow underwires like Ewa Michalak or Comexim?

Alas, I believe it is inevitable at this point that I try the Polish brands... I tend towards freya due to the narrow(er) underwires, and Ewa/Comexim apparently are quite narrow!

Not all Freyas have narrow underwires. It might be worth using the bra comparison widget to put multiple styles and brands side by side before you buy.
Don't forget that too-narrow cups can also lead to not filling in the cup all the way: that so-called "orange in a glass" effect. -
Thank you!

True, the padded half cups aren't nearly as narrow as some of their other offerings.

Thanks for the comment! My size doesn't change throughout the month. I've measured at all different stages during the month and I always come up with the same measurements.
I guess it's not necessarily quadboob as much as just the tissue cutting in. My husband and I can both easily see it, but alas, the iphone does not really capture it so well. If I wear this bra, I have to wear a tank top underneath whatever shirt I'm wearing or it's pretty visible.
