Bra fitting help » Wrinkling at the bottom of the cup?
Freya » Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) » 32GG 32:10
Issue resolved
Original problem
I believe this bra fits great. I don't have any quadra boob, the band is straight across(even though I do have to use the last hook as it's a 32 instead of a 30 like I need) and even though I think the wires that go up under my arm a bit too much, it's pretty well fitting.
The only think I have is the wrinkling at the bottom. If I tighten the straps, it only gets worse but I can't loosen because then there's gaping at the top of the cups where the straps are.
What does the wrinkling mean? Is it my breast shape? Or is the style wrong? I don't fall in or anything even though it is a plunge and I have soft tissue.

helpfulI think this is typical orange-in-glass. So yes, technically it is sitting lower than intended, but because it is too shallow at the bottom, it is not possible to set it any higher (at least not comfortably/for any length of time). If you like the fit otherwise, I'd say it's fine, some people don't mind such fold, as long as it doesn't show through clothing. But note that with a molded cup, it will probably not last so long - it will probably "collapse" at the empty space - I had similar problems with my Ewa Michalaks: http://xlhourglass.blogspot.com/2012/12/figuring-out-ewa-michalak.html

helpfulHow long have you had the bra? When I first bought my Decos, they folded over at the bottom a bit. With a few washes, the fabric softened.
Q Lyla had a similar issue: http://questfortheperfectbra.wordpress.com/2012/06/27/problems-with-bra-folding-over/
I also have splayed soft tissue, but I did get it to work. I own this bra in a 32G and a 30GG, and the 30GG fits much better in terms of filling the bottom of the cup. I would recommend a band down, but Freya doesn't make them in 30H, which makes me sad.Updated on December 11, 2012 Flag this

I prefer molded cups to fabric as well! I found that the foldover did abate with time. Furthermore, adding vinegar to the water when washing did help 'break it in' faster, but one needs to rinse out the vinegar, so that's more work.

helpfuli am the same problem with my decos....i believe it because of soft tissues...i have so delicate skin,... even some time i got rashes from cotton bras...
this really fits u well....try to loose the hooks a bit...may b it would work out...
i have a bad experience of that in my teen age... i loose my bra due to rashes under bust....
but i was on my college tour and i have to walk alot ...i got rashes on my nipples instead...bcoz i losse my bra at last hook....
i notice some thing...is this a pic difference or there is a difference between ur right and left boobs?Updated on December 11, 2012 Flag this

Yes, you're noticing right. My left boob is a least a full cup larger than my right.

Pull the bra up and tighten the straps. I a tually think this bra might be too small on your larger side.Updated on December 11, 2012 Flag this

I've already attempted this multiple times and it only causes chaffing because the straps are too tight and the wires are uncomfortable. There's no way I can position the wires under my breasts without the wrinkling.
-
Still, wires arent sitting where they are supposed to be - i think you are aware of this too - they are an inch below your crease.
Have you tried pulling the cups up with your hands in the middle of the cups? If this helps, you might consider altering the strap position.
If you are sure you have put the bra on propperly - which I can't be - than the bottom of the cup may be too shallow for you. That would be a shape issue.
But from what issues others have had with deco - this typo of problem is sometimes solved by sizing up and shortening the straps. -
If I pull the wires up anymore than it's uncomfortable and painful.
I'm pretty sure I put the bra on properly. If I hadn't than it would be causing me pain. It must be a depth issue then. And I won't be able to size up because only more problems would be caused by sizing up to a 34GG.

I know, but some well fiting bras do hurt when put on properly. This is why some of them need braking in time, on some we bend the wires and about some we just complain :)
But there are some deco experts here, I do hope they see this thread :) -
I understand that. I just don't think there's anyway for the wires to be any higher. With where my breasts are in the cup and how I fill it out, if the wires were to be pulled higher than my breasts would no longer be sitting in the main part of the cup.

Hmm, I actually thinks Vee is on to something. But try this (only trying it won't determine anything) http://www.bratabase.com/troubleshoot/dhm37/ See how the user in that fitting help section lifts the cups in the middle? Try that :)
Also; when you've taken the bra off, can you see if there seems to be any marks at your boobs from wires in the bottom sides?
I think it might be again your very wide root combined with a moulded cup that doesn't exactly confirm to your shape :)

I just received this bra last week, I think it was. So this is a common problem fixed with time? If so, that makes me not so annoyed with it. And yes, I would do a lot better with a 30H in more ways than one, but for some reason Freya doesn't think going up in their Decos would do much good.
I don't know about you, but regardless of how large I am/get, I prefer molded over anything.
