Issue resolved
This model is clearly not the right shape for me.
I'm going to re-pinch the gore to make it more wearable.
Also going to keep an eye out for 34K Panache other bras to try
Original problem
Yay I got my Harmony today! It's SO gorgeous!
SO MUCH HAPPY FEELS right now. So what if my body is *really* hating all gores and hurts on the underside. There must be a fix for that. I'm now wearing it with an extender to get the pressure off, that seems to help at least. Also taking out the gore pinch seems to have helped with this particular issue, and no need for that one extra row by extender.
The wings are just too high for me and poke me. Underwires end right at the backside of my armpits. Super high.
OK with the gore pinched, the cup size seemed to be good and no quadboob when I pressed the gore flat (nope, no flat gore). With the gore back to original, the gore wasn't flat either, and now I *could* create quadboob by pressing the gore flat.
My main questions are...
are the wires on all Panache bras so high on the wings? And if not, which models have lower wires?
Going by the original-model-fit, and the possible quadboob, this size is too small for me. Larger size would become too wide though, right?
Also, this band is worn out but still pretty darn tight on me. So thinking I should move to 34 bands.

helpfulHarmony is for shallow and wide-rooted boobs, and that's exactly your problem here. The wires are far too wide for you, and so you are missing space in front that you have left under your arm. If the wires would end next to your boobs, there would be much more space in the front.
Also, that might be why it doesnt lie flat on your sternum, because it doesnt allow too much projecting tissue at the center gore.
So a bigger size would be no use, you just would get even more space under your arm where you have no use for itUpdated on March 11, 2013 Flag this

unfortunately, I don't know enough about the fitting of bigger Cup sizes, just your wire problem was very obvious to me, as I know the harmony :)

No problem, it was worth the try to ask :)
Thanks so much for the wonderful description of why the Harmony doesn't fit my shape :)

helpfulIf we were to ignore the wide center gore I would say that Harmony actually is one of the better Panache bras, but it still gets a bit out of hand on the width in the largest cup sizes. However, that it still looks this good suggests that Panache bras that are deeper and narrower with a full band and the wires close together.
I think that you would need the depth of a cup size up, but the wires of a cup size down. However, if you really want this to work it might be worth trying a 34KK if the band on this one was tight. A looser band will stretch the wires less and you will get some more room and depth so it might most definitly be worth it.
Apart from the traditional Panache wires, the wide center gore also makes the wires higher under the arm. The more you take the center gore in, the more you will move the wires together and up in the front and down under the arm, which will make them lower.
The cups are still too small, which makes be worried as all other "good models" stops at a K-cup, but on the other hand, you might be able to make a 34K still work in some of them. What I would recommend to get wires that are lower under the arm and narrower and deeper cups:
Jasmine - narrower deeper cups, wires lower under the arm, stretchy upper section that will allow some room so it's a bit more generous. You might want a 34K rather than a 32K for the cups though... I think it will be worth trying both if you can.
Paloma - also narrower deeper cups and lower wires under the arm. Haven't tried it personally but I've seen it on women close to your size and it seems to work really good.
Superbra Ariza - the newer versions (purple/mix is the first one) has lower wires under the arm than the older, but even the older ones are better than the Harmony I would say under the arm. The band is tight so you will definitly need a 34-band, and the cups are generous, so I think that a 34K might be close to perfect for you. It also has the straps less far apart than any other bra I've tried or seen in the large sizes so it lifts better and cuts less into the arm.

Awesome, I will absolutely go for 34 bands as this particular bra is very well worn and still super tight on me (especially with pinched gore).
So my next purchase would be any of those in 34K, I think :)
Combined with what ohmyohmy said about the smaller gore on the Jasmine I think that's going to be my first choice, then Ariza or Paloma.

helpfulThe Jasmine has much lower wires, and so do the new models on the whole, as the wires poking the underarm was a common complaint. The Jasmine also has a smaller center gore, which I didn't need to take in for a change.

*drool* Now I'm certain I want to go buy a Jasmine! How does the sizing compare to this one?

I would go with the 34K to get the same cup volume, if I were you. Then you can see, if the band is tight enough or need to be altered. I fit the Harmony in a 34KK and I need the 36K (with altered band obviously) in the Jasmine.

Yes, the band is still pretty darn tight on me while it is quite well-worn, right? So maybe I don't even need to alter a 34 band.

Brilliantly said, thank you!
Do you maybe possibly have experience with other Panache bras that would suit my shape better?
