Issue resolved
This bra will not fit me as the underwires are too narrow
Original problem
I actually tried this bras before in 30d in a store and thought it was a decent fit so I decided to purchase it in its sister size, 28dd. The band feels firm enough but I have problems with the cups and the straps. The top part of the cups cuts in slightly but the rest of the cups wrinkle a little bit, making me think the cups are maybe a little bit deep.
The straps also don't adjust short enough and when I make them as short as I'd like them to be, the top part of the cups cuts in more (as shown in a picture).
And I have one question that has been bothering me for a while, I noticed I have some excess tissue near my armpit but more at the back that wasn't there before so I wonder if that is migrated breast tissue or something else.(For this question I tried to take a picture of it but it is hard to show)
Sorry for the long text and thank you for the help !

helpfulI think you are spot-on about having MBT (migrated breast tissue) near your armpits. It's hard though to evaluate if you have it on your back since you don't have a picture of you wearing the bra from the back. I'm sorry that I can't help you with the fit issues you've explained, but I'm hopeful someone else will know what the possible causes could be. I think if you put up a back shot it'd be easier to see if there in fact is MBT there.

To me, the added picture shows that you do have some MBT, but not a whole lot compared to me for example :) There doesn't seem to be much near the band, if any actually, but I do think that you have it higher up on your back close to your arms. I hope you understand what I mean x)

I think I understand what you mean, probably either I should try a bra with sides that come higher or try to wear my bras higher if possible.
-
I actually don't think you should be wearing your bras any higher, because you do seem to have the wires in a good height on your body. I have an observation, and I might be wrong, but I think that you need higher wires. Why I think that you do is because MBT is very stubborn, and you need a barrier between the old spot (your back) and where you want it to be, at the front.

helpfulThis bra design looks slightly weird, some angles look like it's too big, and some angles look like the cup is too small. This design was intended to be worn smaller, so it can have that fuller effect, but if you want to fit this bra with a just right size, it will look like it gaps in some angles.
You were asking about if that is excess tissue, it probably is but from the 3rd picture. But no matter how you scoop it back into the cups it will not hold since this bra wasn't designed to do that.
The lace on the cups look pretty though and these colours are hard to dye.

helpfulNot really related to this bra, but I saw your mention of the migrated breast tissue higher on your torso near the back, and you're going to want a plunge bra for any chance of the wires catching this. That's the only place I have MBT, and it seems to be the most stubborn. My Freya Hatty and M&S limited edition plunge are the ones I have that catch this tissue, but I think any plunge will have the higher side wires like that.

helpfulI'm not convinced that it's acutally MBT: migrated means it sits there even when you're not wearing a bra. What it is is your skin, including your subcutaneous fat layer being pushed somewhere where it doesn't normally sit because the bra isn't fitting right. The wire seems a tad too narrow on the sides, so you get that effect. It magically dissapears when you're wearing the right bra. Migrated tissue takes time to migrate back. If it's gone as soon as you take off your bra it was just current pressure. You can take a look at some of my bra pics: I have the same tissue thing on a similar body type but it's only there when the cup is too narrow/too small.
Don't know, I think it's a bit overrated to call everything migrated breast tissue. A part of that fold is actually your pectoral muscle too. Migrated breast tissue is actually fat deposition, the same phenomenon you see in overweight people who wear the same height of trousers all the time: they get this double belly.Updated on April 30, 2013 Flag this

It is true that it disapear when I take off the bra. I have a hard time knowing what is wrong with this bra but I agree that it might be because the wire is too narrow. I have been thinking I need wide wires lately. I don't know if the cup is too small or not since it just feels too deep.
-
Maybe just a wrong style for your boobs? Could also be that the issue simply is that the cup is too narrow. (thus relatively too deep). If the wides were wider you'd fill the wrinkling bits probably, but that needn't mean it won't cause quadboob.
Do you have that issue with your panache bra? Panache typically does wider, shallower cups.
-
It may be the wrong style I just bought the Antoinette and it feels like it is the right style even though it is probably too small (I will post a fitting request soon). My Panache bra does wrinkle a little bit in the cups (maybe because the cups are too small but I don't think it is the case) and I honestly don't know is the wires are wide enough as I'm not exactly sure where my breast tissue ends at side. Maybe I just need wider wires generally ?
-
have you tried scooping and wiggling into the Panache bra? If you look at the sideways pic of this bra, you can see the line of your actual boob. You can then see that the wire is more forward than your breast is. The line starts at the front fold of your armpit. (This is actually a pretty normal place for it to start, this is NOT migrated tissue. Your boobs are just a bit wide set for this bra, you can see this in the front shot too where there is boob poking out at the side and the cup wrinkles towards the gore)
Try hanging forward and feeling where the breast tissue starts at the side. -
when i scoop and wiggle into the panache,it still wrinkles but then the top of the cup cuts into the breast tissue so i know it is because the cup is too small or just wrong. do you have any brand recommantion that is more wide set ?
when i try to feel where my breast tissue starts i think it starts a little bit under the armpit. -
After trying on the panache again, it does wrinkles, near the gore, but I have empty space at the top of the cups. The wires encase the breast tissue. I unfortunately don't wear this bra anymore because the pressure of the wires hurts my ribs

Thank you ,I actually forgot to put a back shot I will edit the post to add one.
