Original problem
I love this bra, and I really want it to fit but I just don't think it does.
I have quite a shallow shape so maybe this is too deep, there's no space in the cups though. I have a bit of quadboob on bigger boob, but not sure it warrants going up a size? When I hunch my shoulders it gapes, it rubs under my arms and the wires were poking i had to pull them to the middle.
Basically I've had another growing spurt and this is my best fit right now, I am going shopping next week, to either Leia or Bravissimo. I want a padded/lined/moulded bra that's not a full cup and doesn't have really wide wires, looking at this can anyone suggest anything?
Sorry for the ranting questions, feeling really down about my boobs at the moment and I'd really appreciate some help.

helpfulI'm new to all this, but to me it looks like the cups are too small. I think that's throwing everything off, including the band. It looks like the band might be too big, but if you're not able to fasten it tighter then maybe it's just that your boobs are pulling it? Did you try to loosen the straps and pull it down to see if it stays in place/fastens tighter? I'm really not sure ):

I second loosening the straps and seeing if that helps, as a starting point
-
I added pictures with one of the straps loosened about an inch for comparison. Don't know if they're approved yet. But I loosened the one on my left boob, and it lost a lot of support. Might be getting too much support from straps rather than band :/
But I really don't think it's the straps tightness, it started to slip off my shoulder when I loosened it, I know it looks tight but it's the same with all my bras, I need to keep them high up and I have petite shoulders.

The cups are definitely too small. Unlike many others you actually don't seem to have too much migrated breast tissue on your back, you do however seem to have it near your armpits, quite a bit too. The gaping although the cups are too small doesn't really say anything, you shouldn't mistrust your instinct that they are too small just because they're gaping. Basically any bra gapes on me simultaneously as the cups are too small. Why? I'm petite as well, and the straps are set too far out. Try this:
1: Stand up straight wearing your bra perfectly swooped and scooped.
2: Do NOT move around!
3: Okay, you're standing still swooped and scooped.
4: Use your hand to tug at the top of the cup, the top edge. Tug as to simulate a strap that is set closer to your neck. Hold that grip firmly and now move around a bit while still holding the cup firmly at the top. Twist around, bend over, walk a few steps. Have you spilled out on the cup you didn't tug? Are you perfectly swooped and scooped just like you were before you moved on the cup you tugged? If doing this solves your problem, you now know a possible way to get rid of gaping :) Moving the straps.

Loosening the straps does make the cups look like they fit you better (though I agree with others that they are probably just a bit small) but if you don't feel like the straps were too tight before then maybe this isn't a solution. I don't understand how the band is that loose on you when the bra is brand new, unless it's particularly stretchy. It is obviously riding up in the photos - is this after you've worn it for a while?
Maybe this just isn't the best style for you. I personally don't fit the deco that well because my boobs are full on the bottom, however I found their Just Flew In long line a lot better on me, as the cups don't seem to come up as high on the sides (so there is no rubbing for me) and don't come up as high, so there's no gaping. Might be worth trying on the long line if you like it when you go shopping, or perhaps their other lined half cups like the Patsy

prettyNpetite it only really gapes when I hunch forward so this is a difficult one. If I tug more towards the middle of the cup, the quadboob is worse, my boobs look like this: ( Y ) although it feels more supportive, I think on any other bra it would be a huge improvement. I'm going to go strap-moving tonight on some old bras and have a practice, thanks for the heads up!
@lara7819 I know it looks better, it's really difficult to explain through photos. If I leave them loosened I might as well not be wearing a bra i don't feel supported. I don't get red marks or rubbing so I don't think they're TOO tight.
I actually have a just flew in! It's getting a bit small for me now though, and the wires are way too wide for me, did you find the wires wider than other freyas? I think the lined half cups start at a 30 band?
-
It shouldn't gape at all though, whatever position you're in. If the quadboob gets worse, it's probably just the truth coming out. The strap situation can really be deceiving if they don't fit you right, and when you get the straps right... You get to see the real cup fit. And if that makes you quadboob even more, use that as a guideline to which cup size you need.

I haven't tried many other Freya bras so I can't really compare, but I didn't think the wires were particularly wide. As I said though, I don't really have much to compare to! You're right about the half cups I think, though I know the Patsy starts at a 28. That might be the only one though
-
I think I might just be really narrow. Sigh.
I'll definitely try the patsy, thanks :)

If you're feeling unsupported simply because you loosened the straps, I don't think that's a good sign, cause most of the support is supposed to come from the band. You definitely need to try bigger cups, maybe the reason the band is not doing its job is because the cups are far too small?
Also, have you seen this? http://i.imgur.com/2UVzC.png -
Ewa and Debenhams and Freya I've tried out of them, and they've still been too wide. I have a comexim on the way, i just think that when it gets here now it's gonna be too small, but hopefully it'll solve my wire problem. I was thinking I'd just have to live with it. Thanks for the link :)

It seems the band is riding up in the back, and if you can comfortably close it on the tightest hooks at the start the band is big on you.
Meanwhile, the cup looks too small. There appears to be quadboob on both sides.
Bravissimo has the Purity and Satine, which I haven't tried but are apparently narrow? -
I don't really know what to do about the band. I don't like altering bras that I bought brand new, I can't afford to get things done professionally when bras are this expensive anyway, and I have a rixie clip but it's uncomfortable and annoying.
I have tried the Satine, but that was a few sizes ago and it was wide but not awfully wide. I'll give the purity a go, cheers :)
Can't loosen the straps or pull it down because then there's space in the bottom of the cup and I'm not supported. I know it looks high up but I just have high up boobs and need the bra in this position to get the right lift.
Do you think the band really looks too big? It's comfortable like this. It will fasten on the tightest hook easily, I just fasten on the loosest because I don't want to stretch the band out any faster, also the cups are smaller if I fasten it tighter.
