Issue resolved
I'll try <a href="/browse/panache/superbra-ariza-5051/" class="mentioned-item">Superbra Ariza</a>
Original problem
Hello! The issues that I'm having with this bra are the pointy shape and quadraboob (I think?). I'm not sure if it's quadraboob or not. I tried sewing the gore together, but the shape is still pointy and there's still some quadraboob. The band is good and the wires are comfy and there isn't any sideboob. Also I'm not getting any orange in a glass (unlike some of Cleos I've tried).

helpfulHello
My wild guess is that your boobs are a little soft and that you need this size not to quadboob, but even if the size is correct the shape will get pointy because your boobs isn't really filling out the cups the way a fuller breast would.
I would suggest you going for Andorra Full Cup instead It will hold your boobs closer to your body and spread them instead of "falling out" in this shape.
It looks like you should opt for shallow bras in general
With shallower softer breasts you will always have some problems with cutting in on top combined with the bra being a little too deep. The bras that won't trouble you in that way would be halfcups.

Vee It gets a bit better under clothes; it's just more BIHAL green shaped than I'm used to. Do you think I should keep it?
Branarchist I'm still trying to figure out my breast shape, width, etc. I would definitely say that I am somewhat soft. When going by BIHAL's newest breast shape guide, it looks like my breasts are evenly full, especially because my nipples are right on the center when I bend forward. I do get orange in a glass with bras with narrow wires, so I guess that my root/boobs are wide?

Nesoa May I have your opinion please? :)

Well that's an unfair question because that's my favorite bra in the world :) But from my experience it's better for this one to be a bit too small than too big, otherwise you might get some uncomfortable wire problems.
So it's only a question whether you like it enough to keep it and/or are in desperate need of a well fitting bra :) -
Yeah, the wires are the thing holding me back from trying a 30J in this bra. I am pretty desperate for a well fitting bra though, especially since I'm starting to run out of options (affordable ones, anyway). :/

helpfulFrom what I can see this bra seems to techincally fit, but, you are just on the edge of it being too small in the cup. This is a classical case of the bra getting pointy. What is happening is that the bottom part of the cup is getting slightly pressed down to allow for enough room at the top. At the same time the top part is filled as far as it goes. Together that means that the apex (deepest part of the cup) will be sitting slightly low and at a slight angle, and that that angle will be exaggerated by the really full upper part of the cup.
You don't look like you're techincally quadraboobing but what you are point at is another sign, just was comes right before the quadraboobing starts. You're getting an agle where the lace part ends and your bare skin starts instead of a smooth line. As it seems to mainly be on the inside this is clearly quite difficult to photograph so it really shows but I think it shows in that photo.
The same photo also shows that you have a lot of bare tissue in the center, another sign in a bra like this that it is just a tiny bit small.
What should you do then? Honestly, I think this is still wearable, but if it hadn't been for that soft lace in the top of the cup it would definitly had been too small. You are stretching the generousity of the lace for good and bad. Going up a cup size? Maybe. While this one is just a tiny bit too small in the bottom of the cup a cup size up will probably be just a tiny bit big. What you should do is probably just a matter of taste. Are you having any migratation going on or still growing? If so, definitly go for a bigger cup size. If not, I would say it really depends on how you feel about it. Will you wear it? Is it too pointy for you? Would you prefer more lift? Would you prefer a slightly too small cup or slightly too big?

I sewed a dart in the center gore, and it's still pointy but not as bad. If I wear two layers, the shape does round out a bit. The wires are perfect, and I'm worried that in a 30J they would be too long/wide. I'm tempted to keep it in this size because I feel that I'm running out of options. From what you've seen with the Jasmine and Boudoir Beau, what sizes/models would you suggest I try next?
-
If the wires are perfect now in a 30J they will most definitly be too wide. Maybe not overly too wide, but you will end up in need of compromising on the fit. :/
Suggestions for the future... Narrow, deep with a open top edge.
I'm thinking:
* S Wi?niówka, S Porcelanka, S Fresh or S Czekolada, or even the Sm Trefl from Ewa Michalak. They are the narrowest and deepest Ewa Michalak models and has a quite open top, lift really well and I think they will suit you very well.
* Maybe also the CHP models from Ewa Michalak, like Chp Brzoskwinka, Chp Cappuccino etc. They are in general slightly more generous than both the HP and CH models which means that they could potentially work well for you as well.
* Cleo Marcie, as it is the bra with the current softest and most open top edge with the deepest narrowest cups so far I've seen from Cleo. Not as stretchy as Jasmine but it could probably work quite well for you too.
* Potentially also the Superbra Ariza, Paloma and Carmel as these all are supposed to have the narrow-deep shape with lower wires (not inthe old Ariza colours though. I think that the 30J you would probably need in the Andorra Full Cup might have too wide wires for you but it could be worth a try. -
Also, before I forget... Comexim has extended the size range for their "plunges" and I think you would fit into their size range now. From what I've heard from friend's who need the narrow and deep they are maybe even better than Ewa Michalak, and, these models also tends to have the openness in the top of the cup. Might be worth looking into atleast.

What would be a good size for me in Ewa Michalak?
I tried 30H - Cleo » Marcie (6831) (when I was a bit smaller) and I had the in cup quadraboob that alisa describes. I'd be willing to try it again; do you think a 30HH would work in it?
I sewed the center gore of my 30H - Cleo » Alexa (6631) and the quadboob that I was getting in it is lessened. So it's wearable on the tightest hooks. Would you recommend Cleo Chloe?
I'm probably going to try Superbra Ariza in a 30J (newer two colored models only). Would you suggest I try the same size in Paloma and Carmel?
-
I would suggest a 30JJ as a starting point in Ewa Michalak for you. In Marcie I think that a 30HH or a 30J could work, all depending on how your tissue behaves and if the bra has that tight seam...
I'm not sure if Chloe is a great idea... The fabric might be better for you, but it has a harsher angle and a firmer top edge which might be too tight for you. It is still narrow and deep, but the top edge might cause you trouble. Could still be worth trying. I would actually rather suggest a 30J in Natasha (which is in my experience a bit more round and open in the top of the cup) but then it might on the other hand be too wide in the wires. Gah, it is so so hard to say! :(
I would suggest the same size in Paloma and Carmel as in the Superbra Ariza, though I think that the band in the later will be tighter on you. Ariza does run tight in the band. (I can wear 30 in it and I'm usually between a 28 and a 26). while I think Paloma and Carmel runs more normal, more like Jasmine. It is probably the best to try one of them at first though, just to see the size in it as I think they all slightly remind of each other in the shape and cut and sizing in the cups. Depending on your shape you might end up needing to size up to a 30JJ, though I think 30J probably is a better bet.

I'm going to order a Superbra Ariza. Thank you sooooo much for your help and detailed suggestions! :)

ashewyn, please let me know how you get on with it! :)

I agree, I think this is the best fit you'll get from this bra :) And I think it suits you quite well, I don't see that shape as particularly pointy :)
Is it better under clothes?
