Issue resolved
I decided the cups were too small and ordered a 30G instead.
Original problem
I bought this bra in a 30F rather than the 30G I should have bought instead because I'm in love with the lace / band look of this bra that in the old style (this one) that only goes up to an F cup. I was hoping I could get away with it and it seems to depend on whether I'm inhaling or exhaling lol. What do you think, can I pull it off for the sake of having a gorgeous strapless or should I cave and get the plain one instead? (I don't care for the new lace version).

helpfulIt may be a pretty bra, but that cup is way too small for you!
From what I hear (since I haven't had a fitting strapless ever, I have to rely on others' experiences), in general, the strapless that will fit is usually one cup size LARGER than what you wear.
So go up 2 sizes and check again.

helpfulI think you could get away with this one, especially as it looks okay under your shirt, but personally I would prefer one in the right size, even if it wasn't as pretty.

helpfulI would get the plain one!! In my experience, a too-small cup only gets worse as the day passes, leading to massive quadriple boobs by the end of the day. Also, this might look fine with that shirt, but it won't look so good under soft sheer fabrics. Disregard the last remark if you own no such clothes!

helpfulYou haven't mentioned how comfortable it is on you, so I'm going to assume it isn't bad at least. So I say, if you feel okay in it I don't see any reason to get a different one if you love this one so much. It certainly doesn't look bad and I personally wouldn't even notice the fit issues as there is no major bulging or hang! You could always get the plain one too, and the when you want to wear a strapless, you can decide on the day which feels/looks the best!
