Issue resolved
I just don't think this bra works for me.
Original problem
My back measures 70cm and this band only stretches to 75.5cm and the picture I've added shows the stretch I get on the tightest hook (I bought this when it came out but haven't worn it due to thinking it is the wrong fit - so it is still as new). Is that about the right amount of stretch, or should a band be firmer?
The gore rubs my sternum but I don't know why, could it be because of the band being loose?
I think I swooped and scooped properly, and it leads to overflow, does this mean the side of the cups aren't filled as I've pulled them in too much?
Im not planning on keeping this bra, mainly because of the gore rubbing. So I'd mainly just like advice on (if you can tell) type of breast i.e. full on bottom, narrow root, if the wire seems long enough for me etc. currently I'm very much lost with types and styles and everything to do with bras! So you think if suit balconette a better? What size or bra should I try?
Thanks!

helpfulIf it doesn't ride up and isn't uncomfortable, the band isn't too loose. That doesn't mean the band can't be tighter, but ideally a band is only as tight as NEEDED, not as tight as POSSIBLE. Again, the million dollar question to figure out whether a bra band fits: does it stay in place, back and front, when you've adjusted the straps appropriately and you are moving around? If the answer is yes, then the band really isn't too loose. Even though one will often hear people say that 'you should be able to comfortably fit two fingers underneath the band but not a whole hand' or 'you should not be able to pull the band x cm away from the body', there's no single rule that works for everybody. For example: someone with larger, deeper breasts on a squishier frame will probably need a tighter band to get the support they need than someone with smaller, shallower breasts on a firmer frame, who may even find they need to size up in order to get a comfortable fit. There are some additional body shape peculiarities (e.g. conical ribcage, high-set breasts, etc.) that also affect band fit as do the design of the band (wider vs. narrower) and the materials used (firmer vs. stretchier). You will only know what works for you by trying.
Your other questions are somewhat difficult to answer as it's impossible to tell from the photos how the cups and wires sit on your body. Do you think it's possible to upload at least one more photo with a side view, showing where the wires end and that sort of things?

helpfulI think the band is too large for you (at least in this particular style) if you can stretch it that much on the tightest hooks.
I am not good at telling breast shape, root size, fullness, ect as I'm still a noob and figuring out my own.
But if the wires on the side extend past breast tissue then you have a narrower root; or if the wires dig in on the side you may have a wider root. This page might help you: http://fussybusty.com/2013/02/18/fitting-101-why-wire-shape-matters/ There is another page that I found super helpful but I did not bookmark it and cannot find it again. Once I started to figure out I had more narrow roots and got a bra with narrow wires it was so much more comfortable and better fitting than any previous bra I thought fit well.
This might help with full on top vs full on bottom: http://brasihate.blogspot.se/2013/02/clarifying-breast-shape-full-on-top-vs.html. I know it helped me. Also, I was reading around and read people that are full on bottom often have problems filling out the tops of cups and I realized I had that same issue so that helped me conclude I was full on bottom.

Thanks ever so much for the help! I think in this bra, the wires dug in as well as extending further! I just don't think this is the right style for me at all. I think I need to try half cups/balconettes! Do you have any recommendations? I have no idea which style to try or what size!

helpfulThe band is too loose and you have either soft boobs or Billie has too closed cups for you, that is why it gapes outside and cuts into you on the inside.

I do have quite soft boobs, which I would say are slightly bottom heavy but are also firm towards the top as they start quite near my collar bones! Do you have any bra suggestions? I think a half cup or balconette bra would be more suited to me as they are more open at the top for the firmness but will also support the soft boob. I have no idea where to start though...

Thank you for your help! I definitely know that anything above a 30 band will not work, they lift off my chest and I have to pull it down and put my boobs back in all day. I've sold this bra now, but if you have any hints or help you could offer I'd really appreciate it!
