Bra fitting help » Bra cuts in under armpit, cups too deep?

Issue resolved
Right size but cups are too deep and the wires are too wide for my chest - not the right bra shape for me.
Original problem
Going by the band tightness, lack of spillage or cup wrinkling, and the centre gore laying flat, this bra SHOULD fit nicely, but it is pretty uncomfortable. I have to tighten the straps to at least the tops of my shoulders to get decent (not great, but better than braless, haha) shape and support, but when I do that the sides of the cup dig into my arm pit, as shown in my photos (I understand that this is a common issue with CK bras?) and it's really uncomfortable. Loosening the straps helps with the comfort, but I lose support and any sort of uplifted shape as well.
I think the problem may be that the cups are too deep and/or the underwires too wide, or the straps are too far apart. Maybe the cups are just too big? I'm really not sure where to go from here, whether to try this bra in a 32HH, or try a different brand or style of bra, so I would really appreciate some input at this point, as well as recommendations for a bra (with shallower cups, I guess) that might work for me. Thanks!

helpfulI'm not certain, but on the picture that you have written 'ouch', it looks as though you should be able to scoop more flesh / boob / fat / whatever (!) into the cup. If this is the case, then after the tissue is in the cup the underwire shouldn't dig in as much because it will be on your rib and not on soft flesh.
How long have you been wearing well-fitting bras? I think perhaps you need to scoop more in order to force your breast tissue into the correct place. maybe you will experience migration, and actually find that this bra end up being too small? I am not certain, because i myself have a hard time determining what is fat or boob and what should be in my bra and what should be outside of it!
Having said all of that, this bra doesn't give you much uplift as you say, so perhaps it's not the bra for you!

no, mine doesn't stay there too well either. some bras are better than others. However, if you keep persevering i think it will get better. For me, i have been wearing good bras for about 4 months, and my first well-fitting bra was the Emily, but it is too wide in the wires for a lot of people, me included, and the fabric looking the same on me as it does in your pictures. At that point I had a fair bit of armpit fat that i could scoop, but just fell out again. Now it is better for me, and i find Cleo styles to have the best wires for containing the side boob / fat /stuff (!) Maybe try the Panache Jasmine, Amazon.co.uk has it for cheap in a 32J: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Superbra-Jasmine-Balconnet-Balcony-Womens/dp/B008QA787Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1359140254&sr=8-1
i hope the link works for you - it's only £11.50 which is cheap, and it works well for the larger cup sizes i think. :) well done with your weight loss by the way!

Thanks for giving me hope haha. I have the Panache Fern in a 34HH on the way to me, I tried the 32J in that size and nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to do up the band! I will have to check out the jasmine too. Thanks again!

helpfulI too have this problem frequently So far, it just seems to depend bra to bra for me , but I do think shallower cups might help with the problem. You may also want to try something a little more structured just so the material holds you better without cinching the straps down. Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations as I'm not super familiar with the G+ market. (For me, the Freya padded halfcups were the answer, but unfortunately, they haven't expanded their range over G yet.)

I agree with needing a more structured bra. I hope that I'm not only limited to full-cup bras to get the support I need though. I have tried on a couple freyas, will have to try more. Thanks :)

The unpadded Freyas will actually be deeper and not shallower. Freya is known as a brand with deep cups, the padded halfcups by Freya are the exception not the norm.
I have high hopes the Panache Fern will work for you.

helpfulI simply don't think this is the bra for you. I have the exact bra with the same problems. At first I thought that the bra fit because everything seemed okay. After wearing this bra for the first time, I could not wait to get it off because the underwires are so wide. It would fit okay but after a bit, it would start cutting into my armpits. The wires extended past my armpits as if my boobs grew sideways. I also think you should get something more supportive.

See, the thing is I do swoop and scoop properly, but my underarm fat doesn't STAY scooped in, it shifts out of the bra after 5 minutes, so that's frustrating. I haven't been wearing well-fitting bras for very long, and also I am in the middle of losing 80lbs, so I am also dealing with loose skin in and around my chest. The underwires themselves don't dig in, just the sides fabric sides of the bra, exactly along the yellow line that I highlighted in the photos. Maybe after wearing the right bra for a few months I won't have the problem of underarm and back fat escaping as much.
I think I will have better luck with a different style bra. Thanks for your input!
