Issue resolved
Pushed wires back & got a better fit. Will sew them in place. Tiny bit of gaping lace doesn't show under clothing, but I will probably tack it down.
Original problem
I don't understand the fit of this bra. I heard the band ran small so I ordered my sister size 36E when I usually wear 34F. The band fit comfortably on the loosest hook. The bottom 2/3 of the cup fits great but the lace on the top 1/3 seems like it was transplanted from a larger cup. The top of the cup is baggy for lack of a better term. It could be easily fixed with a tuck and a few stitches. However, the wire is weird too. It's like someone chopped off 1/2 inch of the wire before sewing it in. It moves around and leaves a gap either at the gore or the outer edge of the cup. The shape I get (if I ignore the problems) is awesome! Uplifted and perfectly rounded. I wish the sides were a bit wider as I've got a bit of side boob escape. Pending this fit request I may or may not keep this bra as I paid full price for it. I bought the adorable matching briefs too & they fit great so it would be a shame if I didn't keep the set.

helpfulThis bra is made for someone with more volume on top, that's why there's so much empty space on top. You could try 36DD, though I'm not sure what that would do to the fit.
I find that in a lot of cases, the underwire is shorter than the encasement (?) of the underwire. But you say the underwire moves around inside that path?

In regards to sewing error, I has my Marcie exchanged since mine was wrongly labelled. Nice to know its not unheard of

helpfulIt's hard to tell from the photos, but do you think there is enough room in the cups to size down? I have the meg, which I believe has a similar shape, and I fit perfectly in a cup size smaller than my normal panache/Cleo size. As far as the wire goes, I have heard some bloggers say that in response to many complaints by customers, panache is planning on shortening the wires in some of its models. Maybe this is an early effort to change a style that had already been designed? Either way, it looks really cute and I'm hoping to get my hands on it soon!

I think if I sized down, The wires would be to narrow and I'd have side boob spillage.

helpfulIf possible I think you should try the Marcie in you normal band size but size down in the cup.
I have this in 32FF. I think normally I am closer to a 32G, but I heard it ran a little big in the cup and was a little open on top, so I sized down in cup but kept the 32 band. I think it fits me perfectly. I am definitely not full on top, but still get an amazing uplifted round shape. I noticed the same thing about the wires seeming too short. They don't slide around for me, but stay close to the gore leaving that empty part of the encasing that your picture shows. It doesn't bother me though.
I have the Meg as well in the same size. It has the same wire shortness but also gives a stunning shape. It's even bigger in the cups though. I think I could easily fit in a 32F. If you like the Marcie I would recommend it. And now it is on sale!

helpfulHi,
If your breast shape is more bottom-heavy, then sizing down might be an option for you. I'm balanced, sizing down didn't work for me but I still get a little gaping in my 28HH.Concerning the wires, I simply pushed them down (I prefer lower center gores) and made a few stitches to keep them from sliding back. This was an easy and quick alteration.
I kept the bra because it is gorgeous
But I'm thinking about trying to fix the gaping on top somehow because it does bother me...Updated on January 28, 2013 Flag this
Yes, the underwire slides around. It is much shorter inside the encasement than any other bra I've ever owned. I heard there was a sewing error in some of these bras. I'm wondering if this is the case with this bra.
