Issue resolved
I think this bra is a bit too small on me and I have that orange in the glass effect. It's okay, this bra is still wearable for me.
Original problem
Hi! I just want to check the fit of this bra.
Before alteration:
- The straps don't adjust short enough, so the cups slide down as the day goes on and crumbled at the bottom. After alteration:
I shorten the satin strap part by unseaming and pulled 1" before sewing it on again. Now the cups stay up and the bottom of the cups don't crumble as much as before. The centre gore also doesn't exactly lay flat on me, and they even overlaps a bit? It is low enough for my close set boobs so usually bras with this centre gore height will lay flat against my sternum. The underwire is about 3/4" shorter than their casing so they are moving around. I've tried sewing the casing to stop them from moving around but the material is so thick! Cups a size too small, you think? But if I go to GG, I think it will be too big!
So what do you guys think of the fit?

helpfulHi again
Quick test: Line up the bottom line of your boobs with a pen to see how the root looks on the bottom.
I think you *might* have orange in a glass from having a different breast root, than the wire bottoms so that your boobs pushes the wires down.
I had that phenomenon in every bra I tried apart from when the bra was super big. Just turned out my boobs are oval and every wire is round.

I'm curious :) That's just more an interesting thing to know because all Panache has more or less the same wire bottoms :) So it's mostly just good to know why a bra will fold in the bottom :)

helpfulI'd say it's too small. The cups are too shallow for you and simple just too small. Not overly much, it does still look wearable, but well, by definition it is sadly too small.
I'm not sure of the effect in a larger cup size. Lula Mae is known to be tricky to fit as the cups are so rigid and really won't adapt to the shape of the person wearing it at all. You really have to have the perfect shape for it.
In your case it looks like you have too much depth in the bottom have of your breast at the center front, but I'm not sure if a 28H would fit. Sure, this part would be better but as the difference between a GG and a H in Masquerade bras tends to be quite big I'm afraid of gaping in the top part of the cup and I think that the armholes simple will be too small/the straps too far apart, so that your body will push the cups forward causing more gaping in the upper part of the cup.

Aww, it's so sad to find out it's small for me. This bra is gorgeous.

helpfulI had that bra and I found the slippery fabric to be a bit of a problem for my super soft boobs. It did give me an idea that might work for you, though- you could try going up to a GG, then lining the inside of the cups with a less slippery fabric (felt, for instance.) Then maybe the cups would feel roomier than in the 28G, but less roomy than a GG

Ha. Never thought of that, but maybe it'll work. Thanks. ;)

I'll try and do that and see how it goes.
