Bra fitting help » Cups too big?

Issue resolved
Will try to swoop/scoop more and if that doesn't work I'll try a smaller cup. Still not sure about the wrinkling along the seams. Doesn't seem to be due to extra space in the cup. ???
Original problem
I'm not sure whether to try this bra in a 36HH or not. There is wrinkling throughout the cups, but it doesn't feel like it's because the cup is too big all over. The top edge has WAY too much fabric... I could take about a 1-1.5 inch tuck. Oh, how I long for that stretch lace. It was much worse (about 2-1/2 inches!!!) until I bent the wires. Once I got the center gore to lie flat, the gaping on top lessened.
I tried adding a pad to the cups to see if the wrinkling at the seams and all over is because of the cups being too big, but it didn't change that at all, though it did take up the slack in the top edge. I'm undecided on trying 36HH in this bra, as the sides are too high as well, felt, but not painful, poking under the arms.

helpfulyou need to pulls the skin that is under your armpit in the second picture into the bra and see how it fits then. i think this is the correct size for you, but you need to put more effort into forcing your breast tissue into the cups - that is what i found useful for my Meg!
Put your hand into the cup, hold the bottom of your breast, and pull the wire up with your other hand too, until the wire is flush with the root of your breast. Then pull the side of the Meg open and upwards, catching that rouge side tissue and hopefully filling the tops of the cups!
It might escape, but with time, you should find that the tissue is more inclined to stay where you put it!
There is a general feeling however, that the Meg is good for G Cups and under, but that it doesn't scale so well, this might be true for you, unfortunately as it is lovely

helpfulI have this style in three prints, I love it so much. I agree that you might be able to scoop a bit more into the cups. That said, I wear a cup size or two smaller in the Meg than in other Cleo and Panache styles. When I tried it on in my normal size, it looked exactly like your photos, and sizing down was perfect for me. I wear this style 3-4 days per week, now that I've found my size. Trying an HH might help with the tall underwires, too.

helpfulI had a similar issue with the Cleo Marcie. There seemed to be extra fabric at the top of the cup. I agree that it looks like you could pull more side tissue into the cups. I adjusted the wires with the Marcie and that helped. I didn't have quite as much extra fabric as your pics show, but that may be because you could scoop & swoop a bit more. I can't tell from the pics because of the dark fabric but do you fill the bottom 2/3 of the cup? I couldn't go down in cup size because the seam across the center would have dug in and given me quad boob below the top of the cup if that makes sense. I decided to tack down the bit of extra lace I had left as it didn't show through tops & I absolutely LOVE the shape I get from Cleo.

The wire seemed much smaller than the fabric channel it was sewn into. I pushed the wire towards the center gore, then put a couple stitches behind the wire on the armpit side to keep it from sliding back down. Then, I just pinched the excess lace at the top near the center gore and tacked it down under the underwires I just pushed up into that space. Hope that makes sense.

Oh, that makes sense! I might give it a try. Thanks so much!
Do you think you could describe what you did with the underwires? I'm having the same problem with wrinkling in the smaller breast cup in my Meg, and my attempts at adjusting underwires in the past haven't done much.
