Issue resolved
I threw the extender on and voila! All perfect now!
Original problem
The band takes a good amount of effort to get on and off. I think I would do with an extender for a week or two until it stretches somewhat. The band measures 28.3 and my ribcage is 28.5/6, the difference isn't that much, but it does make a difference.
In all the pictures shown I have the padding in the right cup because that one is somewhat smaller than the left but it must not have been as noticeable as I thooought as the small fraction of an ich padding causes slight quadraboob effect. The left fits pretty well, although when my arms are forward such as they are when I type, there is a small space along the top towards the strap. I'm not sure if that's because my breasts are bottom heavy and simply don't have volume on top or if it's caused by something else.
The straps are fairly wide and yet they stay secure on my shoulder. The only problem I have is because of the removable straps, there's the plastic part of it that is pressing into my armpit and is uncomfortable.
The main problem or curiosity I had is the way my breasts are shaped in the bra. I have fairly wide roots and I'm not sure if because of that it causes a problem. The last issue I have is with the center gore. It seems to press in at the top and dig into my sternum. Could there be any reasoning for that?
I am troubled by the fact the wires seem to distort when I have the bra on. The wires are 12.9 inches and yet when I just measured with the bra on, it stretched to 13.5. Is this common?
I think those are the only questions and concerns I have on the bra at the moment. Thank you in advance.
ETA: a lot are saying that the cups are far too big for me. I just wanted to add that I have a CH Biszkopty in a 28JJ and it fits fine. If anything, this cup could be no more than one cup too large. I think the problem is the band, and I haven't closed the fitting help as I am hoping to receive the extender in the mail soon.

helpfulFirst of all, about the "distortion". Wires are flexible, to fit atleast a somewhat range of shapes and to give a bit more comfort. This means that they will always get wider when you put tension in the band than when the band is relaxed. If you find the band just slightly too tight for you, then they will stretch more than normally. Based on my experience with hooks falling off and inconsistency in general in EM bras I would suggest getting one of those 3-5 packs for 1 USD including postage of Ebay. Then you have one for almost each colour, and, it's always good to have. Anyway, with an extender the wires will definitly stretch less.
About the gap. The straps looks awfully wide on you here. Like the armholes are close to cutting into the arms of you a tiny bit. The wideness of this bra is not adapted to a 28-band frame sadly, and that is in my experience one of the most common reasons behind the sort of gaping you experience.

mrsfu, the straps on this style are the same distance apart in sister sizes even in a 38-band, five band sizes up. I don't think it's "just the tight band", though that can definitly contribute.
However, the wideness of the straps creates extra volume in the top of the cup that makes it truly hard to judge the exact cup fit. As the rest of the cup is filled so well I doubt the cup is even one cup size too big, just moving the strap position would probably make the cup cut in a lot in even just one cup size down.
This style is also so deep in the cups that it will cover a lot in a larger cup size, if you don't have a very tall base. The height of the bridge changes with cup sizes and it is supposed to cover more in these sizes...

Wow, there were extenders for a dollar and I am very shocked. I bid on one and I'm sure I'll get it. Thank you for that.
I also don't think that changing cup size would change anything. The band might be a tiny bit too tight, but I feel comfortable in it. I don't feel restricted in any way. We'll see how the bra looks when I add an extender, but I don't think it would make a huge difference except allow my breasts to be more forward instead of pulled outward.

Thank you Nesoa, but don't you think there is too much coverage for a half cup? Look at Agnieszka's photos (EM model with size 70j) - half cups on her are lower.
Izzy, if you put an extender on, cups will get deeper/bigger so I still think it won't work:( But let's see how it will look when you will use the extender. -
The 70J model is wearing too small cups... :/ She is really outside the size range but is still making the bras work. She really needs a cup size up though, which I think were stated somewhere offically at some point as well. So, you cannot really compared with that.
-
I also think that it's a lot of coverage for half-cup. There must be a middle ground between that and the too small cups that the model is wearing. A larger band would probably be a better fit. I personnally get more stablity in the right size band than in a too small band worn with an extender.

When the wires stretch too much backwards they get twisted into an S shape (thanks MilkAndHoney for that explanation!) and press into the center gore. Also since the gore is so high the pressure might feel worse.
The problems with shape like yours and mine is that all bras are too deep but some can still fit technically even if the shape isn't ideal for us. I've considered trying Ewa CH for that reason as well, since I've tried CHP that almost did work.
We might also always struggle to find a band that's tight enough since to make the bra supportive. It kind of goes together.
So the thing is more or less this: Can you stand the pressure in the center gore? And if you wouldn't have it would you fill out the cups?
The sad thing is that with our shape we will have to live with stuff like that because bras simply are not made for our shapes. It's a difficult shape to fit no more no less and there will always be fit issues worse than for others.
So what I think is happening in this bra is this: Your boobs are not heavy enough to fill the cups even if they fill out the cups. That makes the wires distort backwards, since there's not enough weight in your front.
The question isn't whether it's right or wrong or whether you could live with that.
Ewa bras are not made to fit like this, that's for sure. That doesn't mean it cannot work anyway, but there will be difficulties and the twisted wires are one of them.
So try an extender and see what happens. I doubt you could size down in the cups without quadboobing. And I don't think the looser band would help. This is an issue with your particular shape contra bra fitting in general. The general rules doesn't apply here so it's up to you.
And I can say one more thing; I wouldn't recommend this bra because I know what the twisted wires can do to you. But the only thing that matters is if you're happy enough with it. And you don't need to use it daily.
The looks of it is better than what I expected on someone with our shape

helpfulI'm having pretty much the exact same problems with the PL Lilia, except for the distortion part.
I think the gapping in the cups that I experience is because my breasts are pretty insubstantial up top- the extra boob I have that would go up instead just settles down into the bottom of the cups.
Do you have particularly soft boobs? Because that's where my problem lies. Soft and squishy, here. My boobs are like water balloons.
I also have the problem with the plastic on the straps digging into my armpits. I'm thinking I'll write Ewa and say "hey, this is a design flaw, maybe you should fix it."

Oops, and I forgot to add what I meant to comment on in the first place: Your boobs aren't the wrong shape/type. The bra just isn't the right shape/type for your boobs :D It isn't your boobs' fault!

helpfulFirst I wish to say that your breasts are never wrong, and nothing is wrong with them
Second: it looks to me like you have too-big cups. They are far, far too wide, going almost to your back!

By the look of underwire on your back, the band is much too tight and cups are way too big - this is not how half cup should look like.
Straps - because it's a half cup, the straps are wide already and because the band is too small - the straps are even wider. Cups are at least 2 sizes too big.
I wouldn't keep it if it was my bra.
