Issue resolved
I decided to buy a ton of bras in different sizes to try. I will most when I get them!
Original problem
I got this 36D bra when I was shopping at Victoria's Secret before I knew my true size (which is apparently a 32GG). So going down in the band size 2 sizes, I'm okay with that. I'm a bit nervous about going up that many cup sizes, however. Do you all think I need to go up that many? I would go try some on but we don't have a Nordstrom's or anything that sells real sizes around here (Bloomington, IL). I've purchased some to try on from Nordstrom's, and they should be here next week, but is there any advice you all can give me about looking for the right size?

helpfulI had the same trouble and fear you did when finding out my true size. With a ribcage of 31, you could EASILY be in 30 bands or 32 to start out so you can get used to the band firmness. Do you swoop and scoop all the breast tissue to pull it into the cup? I think you should definitely go to a 32GG. It will be better for you in the long run and so much more comfortable. I would also put up fitting requests for the new bras from Nodstrom when you get them so you can get all the help you could ever wish for.

helpfulI jumped from a 36D at Victoria's Secret to a 32G (so I was close to your jump). I was skeptical at first too, but they fit and it's been amazing! I just put an old 36D bra on the other day and I broke down laughing after I scooped and swooped, I have NO idea how I was hiding all that in there.

helpfulThe 32GG will probably be really close. That bra is hella small on you.

I do swoop and scoop now. I'm not sure if I did it when I tried this one on though!
Thanks for your advice, I will do that!
