This bra shape and size are wrong for my body.
Original problem
When I first bought this bra I had only finally realized that I needed to fit my bras for my larger side. So, this was my first attempt at fitting my larger side. At first I thought that the spillage on my larger side was ok since I'd finally found a bra where my underwire was not bugging/poking me. But as the weeks go by, either my migrated tissue is starting to come back or I didn't buy the right size in the first place because I am bulging more and more on top and not only that, but it seems my bra shifts and pulls to my larger side which makes me uncomfortable and then I have to go an readjust, which doesn't last long at all. So, the problems are : 1 cup size up or no? Is it the cut of the bra? Will I constantly have this problem since the migrated breast tissue is starting to come back to the front? Is my band too small? Do you notice the slight conical shape I get from the side? Can you help me?

helpfulIt just looks wrong all over, like it doesn't give you any support.
I'm not a brafitter and I don't know how to deal in size ranges different from mine, but as I look at your photos I wonder why is the band so high? Do you need it so high or is it riding up? Also, the gore doesn't sit well and I think it's too wide for you. Your breasts seem very close together on top. It kinda looks like the band sits too low on front of your torso and too high on your back. I think your breast shape is somewhat similar to this girl:
http://brasihate.blogspot.com/
And apparently this shape doesn't work good with some bra models. Maybe if you take a look at her blog you'll get some ideas.
Normally I would say 36 or 40 band would be ok with your measurements, but I don't know that brand, also I'm not sure if you measured yourself tightly enough, because the band doesn't look snug at all.If you experience tissue migration it would be ok to buy a bigger cup, as it would probably fill in anyway. I'd say maybe a stiffer or more shaping cup would be a better idea. The conical shape may be the fault of the bra cut or just wrong cup size.

StrikesLikeColdSteel, some online bra calculators put me at a 38G, but I am pretty sure that is because that is the biggest size they carry! This one got me a lot closer to finding something better fitting. http://www.atlastravel.nazwa.pl/mini/ When you measure for your band you should be exhaling and it should be TIGHT. You could also try the "snug hug" method if you can't tolerate a tight band, but this is still tighter than you would measure for say your bust to get your dress size, or your waist and hips to get pants. I find that after you break in the bra, it's just better support with a tighter band that only stretches to at most, 3" more than your underbust measurement. Most Cacique bras are super stretchy, so I'd try a 36 with an extender while you break it in, especially if you feel this one is riding up. I haven't worn that brand in a long time, but I thought they only went up to US DDD in a 36 band size, so I'd try another brand altogether.

Oh true, this is a good calculator! I used it when I was beginning to look for a bra.

Heleana ; StrikesLikeColdSteel - I went to the bra calculator link and I have to say that I am quite frightened. It suggested that I wear a 40GG. So not only will I go up 2 cups sizes but a band size as well. I am afraid I will be swimming in those cups and buying bras just to try them on is going to be quite expensive, but, thank you for helping to point me in some semblance of the right direction. Do you think I should try the 40GG? Any brands you recommend I start with?

I can't say from photos, but it is possible.

If you truly are a 40 band, measuring tightly, you could try a 40, but this band seems okay, though the back shot is kind of blurry. I'd only go with a 40 band if it was very firm (not stretchy). I think you could use a higher gore and taller cups with more narrowly set straps.
I'm having okay luck with Panache so far. Goddess makes some good bras for bigger sizes. Maybe Elomie? I'm not really sure because I'm not the same shape and size as you. You're almost getting orange-in-a-glass with the bra which I think means the cup/wire is too narrow at the bottom.
It looks like the center gore is pushed out in the photos, so that would indicate the cup is too shallow.
It also looks like the center gore is squished together, which I think means you would want a bra that the cups are less separated in.
I'd maybe try a 38G or GG.
This table compares bra widths:
http://i.imgur.com/2UVzC.Unfortunately Cacique isn't on here, but I though they were fairly wide.
Look on Ebay and on here to try some used bras for half the cost or less of what you would pay new. I've been getting most of mine for $25 or less (including shipping) versus $60+ at Nordstroms 120+ miles away (like they'd even stock my size or anything close to it. Ha!).
Maybe this one:
http://www.bratabase.com/listings/dhmek/Or just peruse the listings and fitting help to see if you can find someone with pictures close to your size and shape and see if they've found any bras that fit.
Or if there is a bra you are considering purchasing, you can see if anyone has measured it and put it on here, so you will have a better and better idea of what works for you as you try things.
If your breast perimeter is 16.5" I'd say you could go up in cup size, significantly, with the right shaped bra. Also a bra with higher wings and a higher gore will help provide more support.

And and don't be afraid of GG.

helpfulThe straps look way too wide-set for you. I'm guessing you have a small frame. Try tugging the cups a bit closer to the current strap position, just barely an inch closer to your neck. Does that create more uplift and better shape? If so, you might have found a contributing factor. I'm sorry I can't provide you with any further help, I need to know more about your problems before I can possibly help you more. Do the wires feel fine?

prettyNpetite - you're right I do have a smaller frame on top. My bra straps never stay up, no matter what I do or whatever bra I have on, I feel like I must have no shoulders whatsoever sometimes. I tried tugging the cups up like you said and it did change the shape, became more rounded but still "pointed" if you know what I mean. I never realized how much my bra wasn't supporting me until I looked at these pictures myself, they really do hang down. Um. the wire feel really good, it's actually the first size I've found where I don't constantly pull at my bra all day because the wires are poking or squeezing, but I did notice that when I tried a bra extender with this bra, thinking the band was too tight and that's why it was pulling to one side, the wires started to bug me then and I was constantly falling out of the cup on the sides. Thank you for your suggestions.

helpfulYour ribcage measures a 40? You might try a 40F and see if the increase in band size + increase in cup size helps.
Try swooping and scooping (pulling all of your tissue from the back and sides) and then take some more photos so we can see what else might be going on

greenpianokeys - well, I didn't measure myself super tight, I measured comfortably like I would if I was measuring my waist for pants or something.
I did. in fact, bend over, scoop everything in on both sides and then took my pictures. I finally learned that from reading on the internet about breast tissue migration, which is something I have predominantly on my larger side (right side). Thank you for your suggestions.

StrikesLikeColdSteel - its funny you should mention the "brasihate" blog, I love her blog, I have been using her as research to try to find better fitting bras. I did measure myself comfortably around, not tight, almost like you would for clothes, so I guess I should try a bit tighter or maybe just try a 36 band, so then it would be a 36FF/36G. I was told by an online bra calculator that I should be wearing either a 38G or a 36GG, but that seems so large to fit and I'll definitely have to order those in order to try them. I never thought about the gore being too wide for me, but I do agree with you that I need a stiffer or more molded cup bra. Thank you for your suggestions.
