Issue resolved
I think I may be getting closer to a decent fit, will be posting two more requests and a fit adventure. Hoping for more help thanks ladies!
Original problem
Hi,
My issue is that this bra was sent to me for a trial and Im trying to decide if its a bigger band I need, bigger cup, or both. The band seems snug and I get spillage in the cup area, and all over the band. I didnt measure the bra as i have it as a trial to see if it fits through True.com. Most of the 36b bras they sent, and that I find at the store seem to not even fasten on me. I measure 34-35 inches underbust. Should I go back to 38A bras?

helpfulHonestly, I think most of that tissue under your arms is migrated breast tissue. Though your breasts may be shallow, I also think that you will eventually need a significantly larger cup size or at the very least a much wider/longer wire to help contain the swooping and scooping.
I'm writing as someone who started this bra journey as a 40B and am now mostly filling out US size 34/36I or UK size 34/36G.

Braologie would be good, I think, but I have heard they are better at fitting when they see you in properly-fitted bras. I'm hoping to get a bra from them someday, but I have to figure out what fits me first. I think Vee just got a replacement bra from them that I think fits her perfectly now - http://www.bratabase.com/profile/3bw/adventures/1370/
As for other styles/brands and such that have wider wires and/or shallow-er cups? I can't speak from experience, but I can tell you what I've read from others' advice. I have lots of underarm migration and my boobs act like they're shallow, so I, too, am looking for wider wires with less depth.
To go along with the link that Heleana gave you, this could help you: http://www.venusianglow.com/2012/09/small-breasts-with-broad-base.html
These are the bras on my personal current list to try:
In general, padded or unpadded halfcups. NOT: molded or full cups
Panache brand overall especially halfcups
Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675)
Panache Andorra Plunge (5676)
Panache Ariza Balconnet Bra (5051)
Panache Cleo brand especially halfcups
Cleo Juna (6461)
Freya halfcups or longlines only - unpadded do not work for me
Elomi brand - but I think they are mostly larger cup sizes
Parfait By Affinitas brand - not sure about this one
Curvy Kate brand -
Oh, missed one of your questions.
My non-expert opinion is definitely go down to a 34 band and up at least to a D, possibly higher.
I'm sure there are others here who are much better at gauging proper size with migration, but a lot of them are in different time zones or keep different schedules, so might be popping in over the next few days.
It sucks, but there's really no way to know for sure without trying on and waiting. I suggest not going too crazy with a new bra wardrobe at first, because it is more likely than not that your size will be different in 3-6 months, even if you find something to fit you right now.

HI,
If I push on that tissue at all, it does go towards my chest. So it might be migrated tissue. Strange thing is, most 36 bras wont even fasten around me, but some will, so I just am so unsure on band size, I can get a 38 around me ok but am told its too big.
-
Often, women think the larger band bra is too tight, but they need to size up significantly in the cup to make room.
The 'tightness' often comes from boob either pressing cup outward, pulling on band or breast tissue actually under the band. Personally, I had both problems.
Right now, I suggest going to stores and just trying on larger cups in 34/36. If you can get any really cheap (even gently used from here or reddit or ebay) just try some out. I got a bunch of bras for under $15 each including shipping, some for $7-8 even. Most were gently used, but they helped a TON with figuring out my size.
Even the ones that felt crazy HUGE in the cup a couple weeks ago are filling out more now. I'm kind of flabbergasted at the size I'm in now.
Calling Branarchist prettyNpetite to help analyze if it's migrated tissue for you or not. Warning, they will probably ask for more pics and angles and whether you swoop/scooped properly or not.
-
Oh, also.., the newer sizes will feel weird to you at first. When you learn to scoop/swoop automatically, you willhave a better understanding of "boob belongs completely in cup"
Once that happens, the band will, feel looser in the back.

Just by looking at the pictures, it seems you are wearing your bra way too low. See how your band is at your waist? (Back shot) It seems that way looking at the front too. The cups don't seem like they're actually sitting on your body where they should be. I would try hoiking up the cups so they're resting just below the inframammory fold.
Have a read through these 3 posts of mine about migrated breast tissue :) This is a link to all three of them; http://prettynpetitej.blogspot.se/search/label/Migrated%20breast%20tissue
Now... I want you to especially take note of how I swoop and scoop in my video. Is that how you have done it or am I doing it way more excessively than you? If so, try doing it as "hard" as I do! When I started reading about the swoop and scoop method I didn't quite get it; how much should you pull and from where, how? Well... I just figured that... Anything that can be pushed inside the cups is probably boobs because other fatty tissues are usually not that mallable :) No way would I be possible to swoop and scoop my fatty tissue on my belly up to my boobs :P I am however able to swoop and scoop fatty tissue I have ON MY BACK up to my boobs! Crazy, right? But that's just how the years have taken a toll on my poor, poor boobs. Crammed up in too small cups for years... Why I suspect you have migrated breast tissue is because of the appearance you have going on near the armpits. Kinda lumpy and uneven fatty tissue (I have it too, it has lessened though due to stubborn swooping and scooping for a few months.) It's very subtle, but I'm guessing I'm right, but I think I can see that you have some migrated breast tissue on your back as well. From your waist down you look kinda toned, not a lot of fat there, and from your waist up you seem more umm... I hope you don't read this the wrong way; puffy. It's like your waist-down is very "straight" and toned where as your waist-up is swaying out a bit due to migrated breast tissue. Gosh, I hope I am making sense haha, English is not my native language. I would definitely recommend that you try my way of swooping and scooping; really hard and stubbornly.
Also, take a look at this. I hadn't had an increase or decrease of bust volume, yet the results were astonishing. I can spot the incorrect fit immediately now, but I couldn't then, and maybe that's where you're at now. http://prettynpetitej.blogspot.se/2013/03/importance-of-swooping-and-scooping-and.html
I want you to take a close look at this and remember; always line up the underwires to your boob crease. If you swoop and scoop the hell out of your boobs, it won't be the "true" result unless you line up the underwires to rest just beneath your boob crease. Think of it this way... The cups are a blanket and if you don't pull it up all the way, yeah sure you can blame the blanket of being too small, but it's not. You just need to make sure you're pulling the blanket up all the way it needs to be to cover your body :)
So... General "rules":
1: Swoop and scoop the shit out of your boobs
2: Make sure the wires are resting just beneath your boob crease and that no boob tissue is being cut off from the wires on the sides.
3: Tighten your straps to a comfortable level, you should be able to slide 2 fingers horizontally under the straps (there should be *some* resistance), if your straps aren't tight enough the migrated breast tissue will slip out.Get back to me if you have further questions, I'm really interested to see if this helps you or not :)

HI there,
Braologie also said I look puffy lol, but honestly I am on the overweight side. I dont know whats going on because no matter how hard I scoop and swoop, I dont fill out a C cup at all. Yet I bust out of a 36B. Is it possible for you to look at my bras listed in my profile, I had some 36B and 38A in there. Would love your thoughts on how those fit. Might I have permanent tissue migration?

helpfulI would think with your measurements you would want a 36D, but you have shallow breasts, so many styles may not work well. As for the band on this, it seems that it isn't very stretchy, so you might be able to get away with a 38 if the band were very firm and didn't ride up, but I've measured 34.5" on the underbust before, and 38s weren't that comfy to me. They'd have to run small or be very firm or both to keep from riding up and to provide enough support.
Go here to get an overview of shallow breasts: http://www.venusianglow.com/2013/03/examples-of-shallow-breasts-nsfw.html?m=1

Thanks,
Yeah I have shallow, very wide set breasts. My breasts only measure out 2 inches from my body though, and most c cups are way too big so I dont know that a D cup would work for me. The band is not very stretchy on this bra and honestly not one bra I own fits, including all the ones fitters put me in.I usually dont wear bras at all because i am so disgusted that not one in the world fits! I posted pics of me in one other bra where the band fits more comfortably than this one, am hoping maybe one cup up would work in that.

Hi Heleana and drownedsalad,
Thank you for the links and bra suggestions. I am definetly giving those a shot, and no, I am not going bra crazy as my size might change once my tissue re-migrates. I will try a different cup and band size too in this bra, and maybe (for my own sake lol) the same band size but a cup or two up, to see if the bra works for me.

Hi
I agree on that migrated tissue. Might braologie be worth a try? Also these trial bras sent to me said I could try another size free. Perhaps I should try two cups up? Are there any brands that carry my size and have wider wires?
