Issue resolved
The bra just doesn't fit me.
Original problem
When I first bought this bra, it was already too small in both band and cups. I figured I could just size up to a 28JJ, but recently my boobs grew a little again and now I'm just too unsure. My measurements didn't really change, but I'm busting out of my fitting bras.
I need some new bras and the UK doesn't really have many options left (but please feel free to suggest any bra that could fit me, unless it is Freya or CK).
I wonder if going up to a 28K would solve my problems.
Also, crazy backfat. This is even worse than in my old 32FF Freya Deco.EDIT: I realized that no matter how much I size up in this bra, it will never fit me. The cups don't match my breast shape. The apex is too low and too far on the sides, which is probably why I get this awful shape. Also, I think that I could get a lot more uplift if the straps were more centered. This bra doesn't seem to cater to close-set breasts, which really is a shame as the center gore is so wonderfully low. Still, is this much backfat normal for a EM bra?
I would consider ordering an S style bra, but what size should I order? Will it suit my shape? Is it true that the straps aren't fully adjustable?

helpfulDefinitely up a band size. Maybe up a cup size too, but I wonder if it may be more of an issue of cup shape rather than volume. It looks like you have extra room at the outer cup and are spilling out in the middle. You may just need higher wires in the center. Or it might fix itself once it's not overstretched. I'm not any story of an expert on EM. I refuse to deal with their return policy since my success rate with bras is probably around 20% and I can find better customer service elsewhere.

I usually wear it with an extender and add 1 or 2 rows of hooks. For the pictures, I didn't wear it on purpose. But sadly, it really doesn't make a difference for the cups. If anything, I feel that my backfat becomes even more pronounced.
I don't mind higher center gores per se, but I have a lot of low-cut tops and the gore has to be really narrow or otherwise it will be irritating. For example, the gore of the Alana was okay comfort-wise, but I would have preferred a lower gore.
I will look for some pictures of the S shapes, but I want/need a plunge bra, too. What I don't get is that I thought that the PL shape would work great on me, so why do I get this pointy shape?
About the Jasmine, I meant to try it in 30HH, but I think that now the 30J would work for me. Admittedly, I've kind of given up on it because I would still have to alter the band and the cups were digging into my armpits.
I've never tried the Ariza, but I doubt that the Boudoir Beau will fit me. So far, every single Bravissimo bra I tried came up about one cup size too small. -
Okaaay, I don't feel old enough for the Ariza.

Well, if you want a plunge and seeing that you look kind of like me in karmelki (backfat and all)
I'd suggest Braologie. They are revizing their construction in order to free some space in the armpits and they are getting their act together in sizing terms. I did a comparison here
http://www.bratabase.com/profile/3bw/adventures/1385/The other good place to look for a plunge would be Comexim.
Other than that, I'd stick with cleo :)

I might just fill out Braologie's questionnaire...
Is the Advanced Lacie the revised construction you talked about?

What size do you think I would need in Comexim? Their size chart puts me in a 70 band, which is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.I wish I could stick to Cleo, but unless they finally introduce JJ cups, I'm sized out (or I will have to sistersize or alter bands). My 28J Lucy doesn't fit me as good anymore. I altered the center gore to get a little more cup volume, so I can still wear it now. But I think that the original Lucy shape suits my boobs much better - except for the too wide wires, the cups were ideal for me. The alteration gave me a lot more open space on top, but apparently that is not where I need it. It also made the center gore higher... sob.
To me, lower center gores are just more comfortable (and they look better, too). -
No, thats the bra I have, woth added side support. they are revising the angle of the straps for petites and high on chest clients now. But contact them, they have the most amazing service, and be sure to mention tour strap problems.
I think zia and natasha may work for you. They have extra firm bands and are made for not so full in top boobs.
As for Comexim, go down to your regular bandsize and follow the chart from there.
I think you might like Avocado too, they also give great advice on what size to take. -
Okay, so I filled out the Braologie form as you said. I'm curious what they will say :)
The Avocado Luna is to die for and there's a number of Comexim bras I'd love to get my hands on.... I just wish I could order all those bras from one seller.
Additionally, I looked on Bravissimo for the blue Zia and found a number of bras worth a try: Panache Confetti and Harmony, the Zia and while I'm at it, Bravissimo Broderie and Boudoir Beau.
I decided that I want to make my 28J Alana into my personal Frankenbra. The band is great, it is just too small in the cups now because the upper panel doesn't have any stretch. I imagined that adding a triangular-shaped piece of fabric could help with that.
What do you think?

Confetti and harmony will have way to wide wires for you, but the rest of them could work qite well for you ^^

helpfulI'd get more cup space... your breast perimeter is more than an inch more than the cup depth?
I think the bit of room you have near the arm is simply because the moulded cup rim is being pulled outwards? If the band won't fasten well maybe a bigger band...Updated on April 30, 2013 Flag this

helpfulI would definitely suggest going up a band size. I also have a 26~27 inch ribcage depending on how bloated I am and a 28 band in the PL Onyks fits pretty much perfect.
Do you have close set and/or soft breasts? It may be just the fact that the shape isn't a perfect match. I also think that you may have more success with the S style instead, which was designed for softer breasts.

helpfulYou really need a larger cup, the center gore generally lifts when the cup is too small.

I'm not sure if it is clearly visible in the pictures but actually the center gore tacks beautifully.

I agree, the gore shouldn't be stretched that much. If you have some extenders handy, you should try adding them to asses the cup fit.
If it really is the band pulling the cups flat, that also may be a reason you are spilling out in the middle.
But I think you would generally do better in a higher gore and I think the S/Sm shape could be very good for you.
I think 28J or even 30HH should be good in the S based on this.
Have you given up on jasmine? I think it might have worked in 30HH. Other than that, if you don't min the higher gores, I'd suggest ariza and boudoir beau and also exploring other polish brands like kris line and avocado. Kris line is hard to find but avocado has awsome customer service.
If you are bursting out of your bras and your perimeter hasn't change, it probably means you are filling up on top and/or bottom of your boobs. This is a good thing, boobs are getting back what was taken from them and gratefully become firmer and more lifted. After my first wave of remigration my nip to neck became shorter by 3 cm :)
