Bra fitting help » The band is too large, are the cups too large as well?

Issue resolved
Bra band is too loose, I will try either the Patsy in a 30G or a different Freya model that comes in a 28 band. In the case of going down a band size, I will go up in cup size, so 30GG, etc.
Original problem
So as you can see, with my one photo where I shoved my whole hand under the band, the band is too large! But, if I were to go down a band size with the Patsy, would I really need to get a 30GG or do you think a 30G would work?
What happens is: I scoop and swoop, and the cups get filled up more or less, but then the minute I bend over, there's some serious gapping especially by the armpits. It's like whatever breast tissue that's been scooped and swooped escapes the bra right away, because the band is too loose. So could the gapping be due to that, and not the cups being too big?
I have misgivings in getting a 30GG (mostly because I'm still wrapping my head around being a 30G) because my breasts are so shallow and wide/spread apart, and also bottom heavy. But then, I got a 30G Taylor, which I'm on the fence about that being too small in the cups. And from what I've read, the Deco and its offshoots, like the Taylor, run big in the cups, so maybe the Patsy in a 30G might be too small. I like the placement and the length of the underwires, because it seems like a bra really has to be all up in my armpits or else that excess tissue escapes :/
To make matters more complicated, my underbust measurements have changed (recently) to around 30" if I pull tight like I'm going to break the tape, and most Freyas I've tried in a 30 band, I end up using the first hook :/. This makes me think I should try a 28 band.
Sorry if this is all over the place! It's my first time asking for fitting help here. Basically I want to know which size I should try next in this (or similar Freya models): 30G, 30GG or 28GG? Thanks!

helpfulThe band on the Patsy is very stretchy and seems to run a bit large. On you, it looks as though this is an issue because the band is riding up so far in the back (probably being pulled by the straps as well). I'd go down to a 30G and see how it fits. I don't think the Patsy half cup is made in 28's or above a G cup.

helpful30GG for you. In some pictures you look like borderline quadboobing, not gaping. Sure, the tissue might escape and leave a gap, but with proper scooping you can count on one thing - one day the tissue will say there
And also, a too big band can make the cups seem roomier than they are.On an unrelated note, those straps look painfully too far set for you. Are they? Maybe consider moving them in?

That's what I was thinking about the too big of a band. But I've been trying on so many bras it all becomes a blur.
The problem with the straps is I fastened them too tight to overcompensate for the loose band. And yeah, they might be too far apart. Ugh, that was the worst habit with my old bras: I would make the straps waay too tight on them and end up with shoulder pain :( not to mention the indentations from the straps which I hope aren't permanent :(
It is so weird to put on a bra and NOT FEEL THE STRAPS :o (but that's when I know I'm going in the right direction) but in this case I have made them way too tight.
I don't know what to do about this bra because I can't return it - list it or hand-alter it, I guess! Thanks :)

Ahh that's a shame about not having the Patsy in a 28 :( especially since Freyas (or at least most of the ones I've tried) seem loose in the band. I guess I will either try to find a 30G or a different style altogether.
And yeah, the band is definitely being pulled by the straps, because the straps are too tight oops D:
Thanks!
