helpfulThis is a push up? I mean no offense in saying this, but it doesn't look like it's doing much for you. You need a smaller band. If this bra stretches out to 40 inches, it's definitely not helping you. The wire also isn't sitting undeneath your boobs. It looks more like your breasts are just sitting in the cups and 'hanging there', for lack of a better term. You need a larger cup. They should be lifted higher on your chest with wires that sit against the under crease of your breasts.
I would go with a 34 band, or if you can maybe a 32 band here or there. This bra definitely isn't good for you in any way.
If you did swoop and scoop, then I would say go up to a 32GG/H or a 34GG. I think if you haven't swooped and scooped as it might be impossible with the way the bra is sitting on your ribs/upper stomach, then you'll need a larger cup.

I understand. I'm young and my breasts are anything but perky. Mine would point towards my toes if they pointed straight down.
Yes, you are supposed to stretch as far as you can, but the band should only measure one or two inches more than your ribcage measurement. And the fact that the bra is 29 inches, rested, also serves to prove that it's too large for you.
If the cups aren't big enough, you will definitely get quadraboob when you go to a smaller band size. You will also get tissue not in the cups pulling on the wires and making the band seem too tight for you. I would look around ebay or bratabase and see if you can find a good bra in a few band sizes smaller and definitely a few cup sizes larger. Since finding out my true size I haven't been able to go to any sort of local store and Nordstrom only carries so many cup sizes. I don't know exactly what they carry up to, but if you can find a cup size larger than a G/GG, then certainly go for it.
I think if you can try a bra before getting it, you shouldn't have to stretch it. When you put on the bra, the band should be firm and completely parallel around your body. You should only be able to pull the band maybe an inch or two away from your body. If you get marks from it, that's normal. As long as you aren't feeling pain from the band itself once you are in the right cup, then it's fine.
Don't apologize, it's why there's the fitting help! We are here to help and I will gladly answer as many of your questions that I can.

helpfulThat bra is far too small in the cups and too big in the band! I would estimate you around 32GG or 34G in Cleo by Panache.

Oh, lol. I thought it WAS doing much. I have saggy ugly boobs that look at my toes :(
When I stretch out the band, am I supposed to stretch it as hard as I can?
I got this at Nordstrom Rack.. I dont know if I tried on the sizes you suggested, but I remember a smaller band size giving me major quad boob, so I tried the sister size. I guess I didn't have the right size in general.
I guess I need to head to a regular Nordstroms in hopes they have more sizes.
Is it a good idea to do the stretch test before buying it?
Sorry for all these questions, I really have no clue what I'm doing here.
