Wacoal » La Femme Underwire T-shirt Bra (853117) » 32DDD 32:6
I did this without scooping and swooping, but when I do I get mega quadboobage. It's kind of a tired bra and it rides up a little bit even though I'm wearing it on the tightest hooks. What sizes should I be trying instead?
EDIT: Added scooped and swooped pictures!

helpfulHello! A 32 band is waay too big for your 26 inch ribcage! I definitely recommend getting 28's, possibly getting 26's made just for you. On that note, since the 32DDD/E cups are too small, it would equal 28FF cups. Therefore I think you need 28G, possibly 28GG.
I recommend that you try the Freya Deco first because it's pretty helpful in determining the shapes of your breasts, plus it's a very plungy bra that works well with larger busts. If the Deco doesn't work for you, definitely try Panache and Cleo by Panache! Their 28 bands run pretty firm, so it should feel ok on your ribcage

helpfulNoob gave you wonderful recommendations but I wish to hold off on giving any sort of cup size suggestions without seeing just how bad this quadraboob is. You will definitely need a FIRM 28 band, alter a 28 band or order from Ewa to acquire a 26 band.
Please add pictures of you after swooping and scooping. I know it looks unattractive and can be uncomfortable, but it's necessary to properly suggest a cup.

Okay, I'll get on that!
-
Okay, they're up now.
-
Oh O_o I thought the first pics were your scooped pics O_O. Looks like it's 2-3 cups up now from your current cup volume size instead of 1-2.
-
Oh goodness! I remember wearing a bra that small. It's not fun. Thank you for adding these pictures. It gives me a better idea. I would definitely put you in at MOST a 28 band and I would say a cup size of at least three larger. That would put you at a 28H. Now, as I'm going by your pictures, it looks like you have fairly firm breasts, although I can't tell if they are bottom heavy or top heavy. I think you could do fairly well in either a molded or non-molded cup.
-
I'm fairly certain they're bottom heavy, but I'm not very confident about my breast shape assessment. Where can I find out how to gauge their shape?
-
Here is a wonderful post: http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2013/02/clarifying-breast-shape-full-on-top-vs.html
If you find yourself as bottom heavy, I can help more in finding you a bra as I am myself.
-
Yep, definitely full on the bottom. I also almost always have gaping at the top of the cup. Do you?
-
Oh, wow, I also dislike all of the bra types you do, especially sheer ones. Ugh.
-
Yes, I prefer modesty and the shape I get--as I have VERY soft tissue even though I'm not even 18,--is unappealing to me and I like the rounded shapes the molded offers me.
There is gaping at the top of my cups, more near my arms and the straps. Even if I fit the bra perfectly, there's gaping there. It's because you fill out the bottom and there's no tissue on the top to round off and fill it properly. It's not a bad thing, you just have to work around it.

helpfulThese cups are atleast 2-33 cup sizes too small. You have a lot of qudraboob, and this is with a too loose band. As a correct size band will make the cups appear even smaller I would guess that you need to size up approximatly 3-4 cup sizes. A 32DDD would equal a 28FF, and up four cup sizes would put you around a 28HH which I think looks quite reasonably based on your body.
However, your measurements here indicate that the cup would only be a tiny bit too small in the cup. It isn't... Which makes me wonder if you have measured your breast perimeter correctly? Do you actually get all the breast tissue under your arm into the measurement, including the one you've scooped in in the new pictures.
About band sizes, you will be fine in small 28-bands. The majority you can find will be too big though, but just check for those known to run small and you will be fine. i would suggest using those to figure out your size before making any custom orders.

I agree with Nesoa, your measurements would suggest this bra shouldn't fit *that* badly in the cups, yet it clearly is too small. Have you measured yourself correctly? I would guess from the poor fit of that bra that you are a 28H/26HH like myself. I also have bottom-heavy breasts. I avoid most unpadded bras because I usually get wrinkling at the top of the cup or there is not enough space at the bottom of the cup (Freya's "Beau" is really bad for this).

helpfulYou are probably wearing 3-5 cup sizes too small. The bra riding up is not because of how tight you wear your bra, the bra rides up because the cups are usually too small, not because of the band size as everyone else thinks. If the cups are too small it just pushes out on the bra causing the ride up. A good sized bra won't ride up and be secure even if you wear the bra normally without wearing the bra too tight.
So why 3-5 sizes up? You don't have breast tissue around the underarms in the front but you have a little at the back. But the main reason for the size jump is because of the back picture you have posted. Your breast is not only pushing out on the bra but pushing on yourself, slouching and slumping your back and shoulders. A good fitted bra can straighten your posture as well.
Hope that helps.

helpfulHello,
I know I’m a little late with this post, but I might be able to help. Our measurements are similar. (My measurements are- Ribcage: 26”, Breast Perimeter: 11, Nip 2 Neck: 9). I agree with the other posters, try the Freya Deco if you’re looking for a tee shirt bra. Currently in this bra I wear a size 28G or 28GG depending on the time of month. The band can tend to stretch out over time and I end up wearing it on the tightest hooks but it is the smallest band size you will find on the market without special ordering a custom bra. On a side note I am very handy with a sewing machine and when this bra band stretches out I remove the bra tabs, remove some excess material, and re-sew the tabs back on. If you don’t know how to sew you can always take it to any place that does alterations and have them do it for you, it shouldn’t cost that much. I would suggest purchasing both a 28FF and a 28G to try on for comparison. Best of luck to you. ^_^Updated on March 19, 2013 Flag this
