Bra fitting help » How too small?
Masquerade » Rhea (6121) » 28FF 28:8
I have been lurking around here for a while now, and I was hoping that you wonderful ladies might be able to help me with this bra. I thought I was a 28FF when I bought this beautiful bra, but due to migration I am now at the bigger end of a 28G.
My underbust is 28 inches
Overbust standing and leaning is ~ 37.For shape I am probably slightly fuller on bottom, but really just full everywhere (right in the middle of Bras I Hate's test). In addition they are very close together.
My best fitting bra is a deco honey in 28FF, but it is too small. I also have a slightly too small Just Flew In and Cleo Juna 28Gs for reference.
My question is, were I to buy this bra again what size would you recommend? Also I have been looking into the easier to find Delphi and am unsure whether to try a 28G or 28GG in it.
Thank you for any help you can offer!

helpfulIt looks as though it might be one of these things or maybe both.
1: Have you hoiked the bra up so that the cups encase your boobs from the crease from underneath? It seems to be empty fabric there, the cup buckles.
2: It might be that you are unable to hoik the bra up any higher. Maybe the depth on the cups that far down is too shallow for your boobs to fit, and so naturally, it seeks a more roomy place to sit.

helpfulIf you are full on top this style would not suite you. This because half cup bras will naturally emphasize that area which would result in quadboobing It is weird how it is wrinkling underneath as if there is space, Did you try pushing you breasts downwards? I find these sort of bras are very hard to find in a good fit, I ordered a masquerade in a 28 E and I was pooping out yet there was space at the bottom (like your picture). I would say this just isn't a good fit for you but going up a cup size would alleviate any quadboob . Hope I helped!

I'm wondering if you possibly meant that full on BOTTOM would not be well suited by this style? Masquerade Rhea is kind of the quintessential "full on top" bra. I'm actually thinking it isn't working for her due to shape because she's full on bottom and not full on top.
-
Thank you for your insight, I can kind of tuck them in a bit, that's what I have done in the first picture but it is still pretty precarious and I feel like I am going to pop out.

You are very welcome :)

I think you're meant to say full on bottom? Half cups bra are actually very good for full on top shape.
-
I think wrinkling underneath is from boob protesting, knowing it won't fit in that cup, trying to escape out the top. Mine are still migrating back to normal and I know my bras are becoming too small when the bottom of the cup dents in while quad-boobing on top. When I go up a cup and down a band, this eliminates the problem until months later when I need a new size.
I'm starting to wonder when this migration will stop. ha.

helpfulCan you please insert an extender and take more pictures? Masquerade bands run tight, sometimes too tight. The wires bend under the stress from the band, the cup gets pulled flat and thus looks too small.
Do you have recent pictures of the Juna in 28G?Updated on March 6, 2013 Flag this

I will upload some extra pictures tonight when I get home. The band isn't too tight though, I feel like its one of the only bras I own that I can't pull the band back several inches.
-
I added a picture to show how much the band stretches, I tried it with an extender but the quadboob looked exactly the same but the pictures were blurry, it just made the band too loose. I could fit both hands under the band and more.
I also added some pictures for the Juna: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/cleo/juna-6461/28G/?system=UK

Which one of the pictures of the Cleo in 28G is yours? Image 1 of 7 looks good, image 7 of 7 looks... bad.
I agree with prettyNpetite's analysis that the cup might be too shallow, this is why I wanted to see the Juna.
-
Image 4 and 7 of 7 are mine, sorry should have mentioned that above.
-
I just realised that bratabase shuffles the pictures around.
Could you look at this http://www.bratabase.com/browse/cleo/juna-6461/28G/pictures/
and identify which are yours? The red Juna looks good, the one white bra with the flowery wallpaper in the background is too small by about one cupsize. I think the last two where the background has been blacked out might be yours, is this correct?
There is something funny going on. All signs on the Juna in these pictures point to a too big cup in combination with a too tight band and cup that is bad for your breast shape.
Could you please post your measurements:
- underbust as tight as possible
- underbust loose on skin
- bust standing
- bust bowed forwardA full fit request with the Juna and some other bras might be useful.
-
btw, if you choose to show the pics next to your review, you can share your bra's direct link and it will include your pictures in it.

helpfulHi,
Definitely a cup to two cups bigger. Since you should wear the bra a bit higher to hold all your breast tissue. But wearing the bra higher means that the cups need to be a lot bigger, so 2 cups minimum.
Also, your band is TOO TIGHT. I don't know if you are wearing in the tightest buckle at the moment but try to loosen that first, if not buy a band that's one size bigger. The 3 image is just too tight indenting into your body.

Thank you for your input. I know it looks like the band is quite tight, I just put the bra back on to have a look and there wasn't much indent at all. If you look at the picture pulling the band there's still a lot of stretch left and theres no indent. It was probably due to the slight contortion act I had to pull to take the pictures myself! Plus I know for certain 30 bands are too big.
On another note, I'm really interested in your bras! I saw another user on here around my size range got some and they were beautiful. However I'm a bit dubious about ordering as I am all the way in Australia.

Haha, thanks for your interest.
Ordering is fine, if we can't get your order right the first time, we will cover the shipping back to us. We will try our best to get the size right no matter what. :)

helpfulWhat have you decided to do about this bra? I have a brand new 28G Rhea in the same colour that is too big for me if you are interested in doing an exchange. I live in Australia as well (Melbourne) so hopefully postage costs wouldn't be too high! You've probably already got another bra by now but yeah, just putting this option out there

helpfulI think you need a 28 GG, the bottom doesn't have enough depth to fit your boob so the wire is riding down and you boobs are sitting on top of the bra rather than on top of the wire. The cup is buckling under the weight of your breast. Long story short you need to go up a couple cup sizes.. So a 28GG sounds like a good start.

Thank you for your comment, I have pulled the wires up to where they are meant to be, if I move them any higher they will be sitting on breast tissue
