Bra fitting help » Does this fit?

Issue resolved
Decided on a different size to try
Original problem
I think this bra is a pretty good fit, I got this after the pl onyks in 60ff was too small in the cup.
The gore is a tad bit high and digs in a bit, but nowhere near as much as I get with balcony bras.
It wrinkles a bit at the bottom, in the fabric over the cup, towards the sides. I'm not sure if this might be because it's too wide?
It rubs under my arms a bit, where the sides of the cup come up too high.
I would normally try to go down a cup size but the 28ff was too small.
I am asking because I want to order another ewa, and wondering whether to order in this size, and if anybody has a recommendation for me that would be very much appreciated!

helpfulLooks good, just a bit too tight around the underarms in the fourth picture. The cups are good now, but if you look ahead, its a bit too small since its leaving no room for breast tissue in other places.
Is it possible to loosen the shoulder straps a bit? This time I won't comment on the back band being too tight cause it looks ok.
We are going to do a back band blog post these couple of days, so for now I'll stop asking people to loosen their back bands.

helpfulI will admit, I'm new to Ewa bras and I was lucky enough to find my size the first time I tried after much research. I did notice in the pictures(before I read the fit problem) that the cups are much too wide for you. Being petite, I know that can be a problem. I see you measure 27 and Ewa bands can run tight to begin with and the 28 is perfect for you. I also see that you said you tried the 28FF, but the cups were too small. What if you were to try a 26GG? You'd definitely have to wear an extender, but maybe the cups won't come up so high on the side? It's purely a suggestion though and you can take my advise with a grain of salt, to be honest.
I have the cups coming up too high on the bras I wear, a 28JJ and 28K CH style, but they aren't nearly as bothersome as yours look--just by a glance-- and I can be comfortable in them all times. It could be that Ewa simply has cups that come up high on the side as I do know her bras are meant to project breasts forward so they try and contain all the breast tissue from the side.

I think that's a great idea, I did half-consider a 26gg myself but I talked myself out of it, it's very helpful to have someone else suggest it. I did send an email to ewa, I was looking at the 3d style bras which look very low on the sides, but they stop at e cup, so I asked if she can do a bigger size. No harm in asking I guess.
Thankyou so much for the info/advice.

I wish you luck! I am interested in how it turns out for you. I've been thinking of getting a 26K/KK for myself because of the problem I'm having on the sides as well.

I guess it's a petite issue, we're not the tallest girls in the world ey :), I have high set breasts too, so that only aggravates the problem more because my bra needs to be higher up in general.
Ill let you know how it works out for me.

helpfulI think it looks okay, but I'm no expert.
What surprises me is the band: Ewa Michalak bands are usually very tight and I need to go up a band size (and down two cup sizes) compared to other bras, such as Cleos. If your ribcage is 68.6 you'd need a 65 or even 70 band as far as I know. (I don't know how tight your measuring tape was - my ribcage measures 68 cm with my tape pulled very tight, and I need a 70 in Ewas.)
Could this - a band that is too tight - also "distort" the cups and cause the wrinkling?Updated on March 8, 2013 Flag this

The band stretches to 28", and my rib cage is between about 26.5" measured very tightly.
-
I might be wrong but, I think European sizing factors in +4" in the size, so you can -however many cm to get the real size.
-
I'd still try a 30" band in Ewa M.s then.
I do not add any inches (I wear my correct, fitted size), and did not for what I recommended here.
Usually, with other brands, I deduct about 1-2 inches to get my band sizes, but for Ewa M.s it's different - you needn't deduct anything, because her bands are very firm and tight.
Your ribcage measurement is almost the same as mine (67-69 in centimetres), so that equals a 65/30 or even 70/32 band in Ewa bras. -
I'm not suggesting you did, I was saying that I thought the eu band system had the +4 accounted for in their sizing. I'm probably wrong.
-
I don't know - I'm confused now :-/.
All I know is that the bra band sizes (EU and UK) that are meant to correspond to each other (and do in reality) don't really if you just convert inches to cm, e.g. 30 inches are really 76cm, but the corresponding EU band size is 65. -
I read somewhere, that the 28 is the same as the 60, because a 60 band is actually a 70, it is labelled as a 60 because it has inches added.
I'm currently wearing it with an extender to see if that helps, I'll give it a few hours before I decide, thanks for the suggestion.

The European system probably does have the inches added - I posted about it not too long ago and that's what everyone thought and it makes sense... but I think Ewa bras (I don't have any, but from what I saw/their calculator/etc) don't. Their calculator says it works for their bras only and they have a very specific chart; besides, everyone complains the bands are too tight, and this would explain it :)
-
I don't actually think my band is too tight, it's probably the most comfortable I am in any bra band, so I'm hoping I don't need to size up really. It stretches to 28, so I dunno, I wore it with an extender for a while and it didn't make much difference to me.

Maybe that bra does have a stretchier band - again, I don't own any. All that matters is that you're comfortable :)

I can loosen them a little, I have quite high set breasts though so my straps tend to just need to be quite short as my bra is high up and I have small shoulders.
It should be an interesting read! I'm going to be ordering my bralogie in the next few weeks so hopefully that will be good for me.
