Issue resolved
Good size and issue resolving suggestions. Will apply to next bra purchase.
Original problem
After scooping etc, I have quad boob. So, I thought the bra is too small. But then, with any wear (even a minute or two), the bra gaps at the top of the cup and appears to be too large and the quad boob disappears. I have the Curvy Kate Fleurty in 32D, it also gaps at the top of the cup (I can upload pics if that helps), but I also have quad boob when I scoop, and then it promptly disappears into a gap cup. I've owned bras in 32B/C/D, 34B/C, I quite recently tried several Curvy Kate unlined bras in 30D and 32D and the cup puckered and wrinkled, and I felt like I couldn't breathe in the 30 band. The lingerie store was less than helpful, they told be this was the ideal fit. Any help would be great. Thanks

helpfulHave you considered sizing up on the cup and down on the band? The proper band size with too small of a cup could give a false impression that the band is too tight. If the band and the cup fit properly, there shouldn't be much escaping tissue, imhe. The side profile shot makes it look as if the underwire isn't cenclosing all of your tissue?

helpfulI think the 32 band is right too, after all, you need to breathe. The idea of the band is to 'hug' your ribcage, not constrict it.
The rest of the bra just isn't right. The cup is too small, but you can adjust it to make it look like it fits. The cup is too narrow, and with some wear it 'sucks in' part of your boob tissue, and then the weight of the boob tissue makes the cup sort of fold forward, making it appear like a gap I think. Same could apply to the Curvy Kate: it just folds over and your breasts are more ON it than IN it than supposed to. If you tighten the straps enough, you'll probably stay in quad boob land. This bra is supposed to cover more breast tissue than it does on you. Right now the bra is creating a sort of rack to put your boobs on, rather than being a bra... if you get that mental image. (not intended to be rude, just trying to explain what I see). They're too big to stay scooped in these bras. Do you feel like the bras support you at all?
You don't actully have narrow breasts based on the pictures. Just normal ones, I think.
I can't make out from the pics if your boobs are full on bottom or not, the shape is distorted from the bra.You probably need at least a 32DD. The girl whose photos are shown when clicking on the 32DD CK Fleurty has the right idea with how it should fit cup-wise. (she also seems to have smaller breasts than you, but that could be false judgement) And try different shapes of bras. Have a look here at fitting bras (I always post pics of the ones that fit me, kind of for own reference but also for others to see how it should look if it fits since that helps me when ordering a new bra). Balconnettes are good for full on bottom boobs, depending on the brand. You'll probably experience some 'settling' with perhaps minor cup size changes when finding a well-fitting bra.

helpfulI think you need something deeper at the bottom of the cup. You're getting the orange-in-a-glass effect- when the cup is too shallow at the bottom for your breast, so it puckers.
You probably also want something that is more closed on top.
I think the problem is that isn't not a good style for you. The band seems to be about right, so I would tend to stick with 32's. I think half cups and balconettes probably aren't the best shape for you. Unfortunately I'm not full on bottom, so I don't know what styles to recommend.

helpfulThere are two reasons that swooping and scooping doesn't stay: 1. The band is too large, 2. The cup us too narrow. As your band appears to fit well, option 2 is the culprit here and you can even see this in your side shot. The bra does not go far back enough on your side to hold all your tissue.
This is likely also at least in part the cause of the under cup wrinkling, though a deficit of projection in the lower cup can certainly also contribute. The breasts, either because of root width or because of lower projection, are not accommodated by the dimensions of the cup near the underwire, so the bra is pushed down so that the lower breast sits in a portion of the cup that has more room.
If you are quad boobing then the cup is too small. Going up in cup size may increase the width and depth in the lower cup to an adequate degree, however it also may be that the cut of this bra simply doesn't suit you.

helpfulI'd try a larger cup, maybe start with a 32 DD in this bra. If you do go for a different style, try one with higher wings, your wires could come back much further.

A 24 cm perimeter has no bussiness in a 17 cm deep cup. You need at least 22 cm. That's why there's sideboob and wire on breast tissue.
