Issue resolved
I think in this bra I am really just between cup sizes. Returned it and posting new request later on new bra. Thanks ladies I DO listen to your advice.
Original problem
HI,
This is for those who have helped before, or who might have advice anyway. I tried this bra in 38B. I had it as a fit request. The band was too big on that bra but the cups felt great. So I tried a 36c, but it felt very tight all over to me, so then I went with this 36D. It feels great on me, but I feel the cups are too big. There is gaping when I bend over unless I really adjust the straps. I feel the band size is right on me. I am wondering if anyone can compare this bra to my 36C in this same bra, which is listed in my profile? I am leaning towards giving the 36C another shot and hoping that as I wear the bra in it will loosen up? Or if anyone thinks the 36D works better for me? Going to keep one of the two so just want to know which is best.

helpfulThe 36C (http://www.bratabase.com/browse/beyond-bare/bt57/36C/#) looks a bit too tight in the band yes. That on it's own can make the cups feel smaller. Could you try to find an extender just to get an extra set of eyes and try it on with it on? That might give you a better fit and it will be easier to assess the fit.
In general, I really think you need a 36-band in this model. Yes, it might be a bit tight at first, and then it can be good to have an extender at hands, but as the bra will stretch with time it's better for it to be slightly snug than too big to start with.
As to the cups... It is really hard to say. In the profile pictures of the 36C: http://media.bratabase.com/cache/d7/24/d724385e45a38b04f45622ccc7c87c1b.jpg
it looks to me as if the cup is just the tiniest bit too small. The 36D on the other hand looks like it just has a touch too much depth for you. This does essentially put you right between cup sizes. As this is really the first bra that fits you, I would suggest sticking with the 36D. The tiny extra space you have you will most likely fill when you've been wearing the bra for a while. Usually most people go up half a cup size or more when they get into bras that fits, as they manage to get more and more migrated breast tissue into the cups. Because of that I would definitly suggest sticking with the larger one, especially if the smaller one looks and feels a bit tight.
Gaping when you bend over is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about, or even a sign that the cups are too big. (even cups that are too small might have a tendency to gape when bending over)
The profile in the 36D looks great by the way! And, the tighter band really has made a difference.

Good catch Vee, I missed that. I definitly agree. In general, before finding a good bra that actually fits, it tends to be really hard to measure the perimeter correctly as we then tend to leave out tissue that actually is breast tissue and belong in the cup, just because it hasn't been in the cup before.

Vee, Nesoa, and Branarchist
im not good at measuring the bra itself. every time I came up with the number when measuring the bra, bratabase said my number wasnt right, etc. I do measure 34-35 underbust. and 38 at the nipples, that part is accurate. I dont fit into 34 bands so that should put me in 36 or I think even 38. Bra ladies measure me at 36 A all the time but that doesnt work either, so I dont know what I am, I am most comfortable in a 38B, yet that band is supposedly to big on me, so then I go to 36C and the bra is too small, yet then 36D is too big all in the same bra. The D cup is not just a little too big, its way to big. The wires reach around to my back when I sit down. I did measure bending over so my boob backfat was gone, and thats when I get the 38 at the nipples. Mostly I measure 34.5 underbust but always go up to 35. I would really love to stick with the 36 D here ladies, and not make a return trip to the store. Vee, Nesoa, Branarchist, i do apologize for the frustration. Is this bra worth giving a chance in 36D ? Right now the cups are uncomfortable when sitting, will that change? Vee, I got that shallow cup, wide root bra list. Which of those would be good in the c or D range?

Also Nesoa,
I do have an extender . Returned the bra though for the D cup. Wondering if maybe the 38B would work best, but altered? That was good in the cups.

helpfulHi, I've helped you before ! I think what going on is you need a wide wire but a bra for shallow breasts? Sound about right? I'm going to do some research and then I'll come back with some suggestions for you! Let me know if I'm on the right track?

Actually I just want thoughts on if this fits me better in36d or c. The band fits great and Nesoa suggested 36c or d as this bra in 38 b was too big in the band, but fit in the cups

helpfulThe wires look good in this one, but the cup depth is better in the C. I would stick with this one because after a few months of wearing the correct size the tissue will migrate and you will probably increase in cup size and fill the 36D

Any more advice ladies? Likely going to stick with not wearing bras at all like I have been.

Agreeing here and just one note - from the numbers featured here this bra should look huge on you - the cup depth 5 cm larger then your perimeter?? You should be swimming in it and you're not, which is why I think you should remeasure your boobs :)
