Issue resolved
I went to Nordstrom and asked if they had the bras suggested by ankylosaurus_rex, and they didn't have any Freya in my size, but they did have the Natori Feathers in my size. It fit perfectly! I went home and found it on eBay for around $25. I will continue to look on eBay for bras like the Natori and also the Freya and Cleo bras suggested by other users.
Original problem
The band does feel a *little* tight but I think the cups feel fine. I tried a 30DD in this style and the cups were too small. It is also a little itchy. I think I might return it but I don't want to go back to my 32Cs...What are some other bra brands/styles/sizes I should try? I'm new to this and don't actually know my size. I also have limited access to lingerie stores -- Nordstrom is really it -- and can't afford to spend more than about $60 on an online order...thanks

helpfulSo I'm not sure I see any fit problems, but if something is bothering you is it perhaps too much projection in the cups? (AKA there's empty space in front of your nipple?) I find Wacoal to be one of the worst in terms of that, and also having widely spaced cups that feel like they're pushing my boobs towards my elbows. Somebody else recommended Cleo and I think those would work well for you (just not the Jude.) You might try the Cleo Lucy as that seems to be a pretty universal favorite for those who are full on bottom, or the Cleo Chloe or Marcy if you find that the Lucy is the wrong shape for you.

helpfulIf I had to guess here, it looks like your breast shape may be a bit shallow. If so (and assuming you have scooped and swooped), then it would explain the gaping in the middle of the cup. This bra might simply be the wrong shape for you (cups are too deep).
Since you have access to a Nordstrom, I recommend their Betsey Johnson bras, especially the Eyelet Lace Demi and their Stocking Stripe Demi. Unfortunately, the largest 30 band size it comes in is 30DD, so you might be out of luck on those.
Some other Nordstrom bras to look out for (and make sure to try out multiple sizes in each bra, if you can):
Natori Feathers, which does come in a 30DDD.
Calvin Klein Seductive Comfort Customized Lift, but that one only comes in a 30DD, too.
b.tempt'd Ciao Bella in 30DDD.
Freya Secret Garden half cup in 30E.
Freya Patsy half cup in 30E.
Freya Deco plunge in 30E (available online in a 28F, too).
Freya Totally Tartan half cup in 30E.
Freya Just Flew In Longline in 30E (available online in a 28F, too).
Anyways, if none of those work in the slightest in any size, then you probably don't have shallow breasts. If a good chunk of those /do/ work, though, I can give you a list of bras to try online.
By the way - a lot of these bras you can find cheaper online than you can at Nordstrom.

Libby - Noted! I think I'm starting to figure it out.

helpfulYour band is definitely not too big - please don't go back to a 32 it may be that it feels a little tight because you've been used to wearing a bigger band and your body needs time to adjust. Also the itchiness is probably just a fabric thing coz the bra is brand new.
As far as brands go, cleo are a little cheaper than freya/panache, and they're super pretty as well. Another thing i do is I will bras on in store to get a hang of the fit and then go and see if I can get them cheaper from eBay/brastop/the figleaves outlet.

helpfulHow about ebay, and ebay UK, a lot of older and discontinued styles are on there for cheap so you can often grab a bargain
With regards to fit, this looks good, assuming you have swoop and scooped? If it feels tight you could use an extender for a while until you adjust to it, I know I felt a little bit constricted in my smaller-band bras at first but I got used to it after a short while.

helpfulI think it looks like it fits pretty well! The only issue I see is that little bit of gaping in your 3rd picture. Did you swoop and scoop as mentioned previously? If that doesn't take care of it, I'd say a little gaping is fine and might be unavoidable if you have one smaller side.
I agree with the recommendation for Cleo bras. I love the Melissa/Bella/Chloe shape. I also recommend buying on ASOS online. They have great prices and best of all, free shipping both ways. They do use a weird size chart though, but the blogger BrasIHate has a good conversion chart she came up with. If you've never tried Cleo bras or other British brands, you may need to try a few cup sizes since DDD is sometimes an unclear conversion to the UK sizing system.

helpfulI think it looks like it fits beautifully!
My t-shirt bras fit me in a remarkably similar way to your fit, and our measurements seem similar. The "shallow-ness" at the décolletage makes finding the right shaped cup tricky, and now that I know about smaller bands (I wear 28 but have some 30s), the shape of the cups is what I look for even before the size.
This bra looks very much like my Paramour T-shirt bra that I bought before I had any clue about my bra size. I got a 32C, and while it gives me "cleavage", the cups definitely feel too small, and now they look too small (to me) as well.
The 30 band's tightness will loosen up after a few wears and it should feel perfect. The cups appear to be the perfect size for you. After washing in a lingerie soak the itchiness should go away...but, if not, I'm nearly certain Nordstrom would allow you to return the bra. Even if they gave you "store credit" rather than money back, you could get a different bra that doesn't itch.
Also - I've been getting good deals at Herroom.com, Barenecessities.com, and even Amazon. I've bought a few bras from Figleaves.com Outlet, and they've cost me half of what they would have cost me here in the US, shipping and all.

helpfulI think you are covered in the fitting advice but as far as buying inexpensive bras, as previously suggested ebay is always and option, but try brastop.com lovebras.com belle-lingerie.co.uk mycurves&me.com (uk only)

@ ankylosaurus_rex : THIS is a Euro-Plunge ;-)
phyolinist, if the wires are too wide for you in this bra (there's space between the wire prints and your breast in the sides) these recommendations aren't for you. If, however the wires fit and the cups just aren't shaped right, give the bras listed above a try and have a look here: http://www.bratabase.com/profile/65y/adventures/1530/
Cups that cut in at the top while leaving empty space at the same time is a common shallow boob problem.
