Bra fitting help » Need higher wings, bigger cup, bigger band?

Issue resolved
Wrong style for my shape.
Original problem
I am not sure if the band is too tight. It feels quite comfortable, but looks a bit tight. I feel like I could possibly go up a cup, or maybe 2. My only issue really is that I don't feel the wings or the wire is high enough on the sides. I have boob escapage. Suggestions?

helpfulWow! Your breasts look exactly like mine! It's no wonder that bra doesn't really fit. I don't think it can. It's already too deep and the wires are too short and narrow for you. I have shallow breasts. I find that I really like shallow half cups like Bravissimo Half Cups or the Masquerade Rhea. The Cleo Juna also works pretty well. I definitely recommend looking into a different brand. Freya just isn't working on you.
Just to check, I'm Bust H: http://www.venusianglow.com/2013/03/examples-of-shallow-breasts-nsfw.html
Look familiar?

Yeah, the fact that you like the Andorra a lot alone usually suggests that Freya is not the way to go.
The reason I say it's too narrow is because of your first and third pictures. Obviously it's too high up for the wires on this bra to reach, but even if they were taller, they wouldn't be wide enough to encompass them. I have the exact same issue. I can wear narrow wires, especially if they are too short because the further back I go, the higher my breast tissue goes, and thus I can wear too narrow wires with the only issue being armpit spillage. Does that make sense at all?
-
That totally makes sense as I always seem to have armpit spillage.

Though I have a 36G Panache Eliza right now that I feel the wires are too wide on. The fabric between the wires on the center gore gets smooshed together at the center top, but still lies flat and I sort of feel like I'm floating in it. The wires go too far back under my arms, especially on the smaller side (and pokes), so now I'm sort of scared to try wire lengths over 14 inches. I made the fit better on it by shortening the shoulder straps and wearing it on the tightest hook.
-
Perhaps a narrower brand than Panache will work better, or narrower Panache models. Have you tried any Cleo or Masquerade?
-
I have not tried Cleo or Masquerade yet. I feel like the 34Gs of Panache I have right now are perfect in the wire, but I am still getting arm pit spillage. I'd like something with 5" wings and 3-hook backs with that size wire.

helpfulI can't really tell, cuz ultimately you're the judge, but I do think that the band indeed does seem too tight. I'm much slimmer than you so if I would wear a bra in which the hooks are strained, it would hurt me incredibly much. Since I really don't have the same body shape as you, I probably can't help you as much as someone similar to you could. Obsessed with breasts has a great post about strained hooks ( http://obsessedwithbreasts.wordpress.com/2013/03/23/boob-growth-and-some-other-stuff/ ) and she actually demonstrates that strained hooks doesn't necessarily have to do with too tight bands. I would say that strained hooks is an indicator that the band might be too tight, but it doesn't have to be true. There could be other reasons. I personally feel most comfortable wearing a bra in which I can tug the band (using little to no force) like 2 inches away from my body. I'm not saying that's the way to go though. Whatever leaves you feeling comfortable is the best way for you You should be able to take deep breaths without discomfort and the band shouldn't be sliding around. If you were to jump (hold your boobs firmly while testing!) the band should still be snug against your body and not ride up.
Whether or not the bra feels too tight for you, this fact remains: the band is strained and so the wires distort. A looser band would make the wires a bit narrower. I'm not too sure about the cup size, but definitely at least a cup size up. I hope someone else will be able to give you a good cup suggestion. You're right about the fact that the wings are too low for you, I know how frustrating that can be! I like higher wings myself.

I don't feel the wire is too narrow. It feels perfect but for being about an inch and a half too short under the arm. I can see what you mean about the cups being too deep already. I am almost getting wrinkling on the bottom, or not quite filling out the bottom. I do agree that I probably can't do Freya bras, and that I am a bit on the shallow side. Thus far on my DDD+ bra adventures the Panache Andora is my favorite. Thanks for some suggestions of large and shallow friendly styles to try.
