Bra fitting help » Cup size too small

The band size feels fine, but the cups are too small. Any larger cup with this band size, however, is far too big.

helpfulAccording to your ribcage measurement, you should be wearing a size 30 band, not a size 34. I would try a 30d/dd to start and then see if the cups are still too small (remember to swoop and scoop!)

No problem! I had no idea just a few weeks ago and still haven't bought a properly fitting bra yet (should arrive soon) so I know about your frustration!

helpfulThe fit is wrong in so many levels... I would describe the cup fit you have right now as "nipple cover, plus extra!". Like some kinda special event bra. It's so obvious from the side shot that the cups aren't nearly as big as they should be in order to be a good fit for you. They're barely covering 50 per cent of what needs to covered, if even that.
Are you familiar with the swoop and scoop method? I'm sure that if you properly swooped and scooped your boobies your tits would be hanging outside of the cup because of how small they are. I would be interested in seeing how the band fits you. Please make it a standard for you to always include a back shot, because how the band fits is extremely important, it's the band providing most of the support. We would be able to help you a lot better if you included a back shot

helpfulI agree with the others that this band is too wide, but I think you could probably also wear a 32 band (especially if you're not very "squeezable"). Good posts about this here: http://www.brasihate.blogspot.de/
I find it hard to suggest a cup size, because I don't know whether or not you have scooped and swooped your boobs into the cups before you took your pictures - maybe try a 32C/D (if you haven't scooped and swooped you could well need bigger cups than that).
If you have wide root shallow breasts - which is very likely - I'd recommend half cup bras with only vertical seams, such as
- Cleo Juna (and all the different colourful styles with the same cut, cups run a bit small),
- Freya half cups (cups run a bit bigger in this size range), especially styles with the same cut as Summer, Monet, Patsy, Ingrid
- Lepel Fiore Balconette (and Plunge - the plunge cups are even wider than the balconette's)
- Fauve half-cups, especially Merissa, Brianna and Celine (if you can still find them).
Apart from that Ewa Michalak PL (plunge) bras are also often a good fit for this type of breasts and so are Cleo's balconettes, if you want something without padding, especially George (if you can still find it) and Marcie, but also Brooke, Alexa ...
(Sorry about all the discontinued models in the list, but some brands' half cups - especially Fauves - are hit-and-miss, so I wanted to give good examples.)Updated on April 7, 2013 Flag this

helpfulI wouldn't say the band is that fine when its regular size isn't much smaller than your ribcage, and its stretched measurement stretches way beyond that... That could be a reason why any bigger cups feel too big. Other than that, maybe the style doesn't suit you, but I'm not an expert at that.

helpfulIt looks like you have shallow breasts to me, so this post may be helpful to you: http://www.venusianglow.com/2012/09/small-breasts-with-broad-base.html. I would suggest trying a 30D as a starting point. Good luck!

helpfulI am going to agree with pretty much all the other posts. I think the band is too big- with measuring 30 around the underbust/ribcage, a 34 band that stretches to 36 is too big. You need to go down in the band and up in the cup. That actually looks painful on you, like the wires are digging in. and it looks like it may just be covering your nipples.

helpfulYou actually have a bit of breast tissue but you just don't know it. It is spread out on the top area of your chest but this bra just doesn't do a good job capturing and holding that tissue. So when you try a larger cup you will "feel" that the cups are too big for you.
Either try wearing the bra higher to capture more tissue or try bras that do a better job capturing this tissue.
Thanks

helpfulI agree with many of the others! This is FAR too small! It's just squashing you down! I'd say start at 30DD/32D depending on how tight you like the band to be! Good luck!

helpfulAgreeing with nearly everyone here. A EUR 75 band converts roughly to a UK 34 band. According to your ribcage measurement, you should be in a 30 - maybe 32 for comfort. You look shallow - It looks like your breast tissue starts up pretty high. I can't tell for certain, but it looks like the underwire might be sitting a little on your breast tissue in the side photo.
@Irongirl is probably right on. I'd try a 30D and see how that fits.

helpfulMy ribcage measurement is 25 and I can wear a 32 band comfortably....my breast perimeter is 6.5. I wear a 32A/B. You could do well with a 32B, or a 34A/B from a different brand.

Thank you. I don't have very much experience determining what fits and what doesn't, so I really appreciate your help!
