Bra fitting help » How many cup sizes too small?
Cleo » Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) » 32J 32:13
Issue resolved
The bra is clearly too small but it's also overall just wrong for me. Cleo isn't supportive enough in this size.
Original problem
Not much explaining needed, the bra is obviously too small.
Pictures 6-9 are from when I first got the bra in April.
Pictures 1-5 haven been taken today.
I'd like to figure out my current "cup" size in Cleo - do I need to go up 1 or 2 cups?
I love the shape Cleo bras give me, so if I can make a 34J or 36J work (with some alternation) I will not hesitate.

helpfulGosh, I'd almost suggest going up 2 sizes just to be on the safe side. The 34J *might* work, but then again it still might be a tad too small. Plus, the 36 band may give you a bit more room for creative alterations.

I don't know, I have been wondering myself in my Marcie how many cup sizes to go up.. I was thinking 2, but then I don't think I am spilling over as much as your pics show, so I thought maybe 3 for you.. so maybe I am way off and only need 1 myself! lol..sorry this isn't of much help to you..just thinking outloud. :)

I looked a bit like your 'before' pictures when I tried on red Marcie in June. Tiny bit of in-cup quadboob, I got a better fit in Cleos in 34J (but the band was starting to get a bit silly then). I didn't try the Marcie in 34J, but Zia in that size was pretty acceptable. (The fun of trying on things in a limited size range...)
I'd say that you definitely want the 2 sizes up. Especially as that way it should give you more room for alterations like sewing on a 3 hook closure (it turns out I took a good 4 inches of stretched length off adding mine).

helpfulHmm, my 30J Marcie fit perfectly when I was about a 30JJ, and now I'm around a 30KK and it looks pretty much how yours does. I'd probably recommend 2 cups, possibly even 3. I'd go with the 36J, I think.

helpfulI'm pretty new to this but I would say you need to go at least 2 cup sizes up, but I thought about 3!

Honestly I agree - and you know how I fear too small bras and cutting in / quadboob issues - so 36J really sounds more reasonable. At least in Marcie. It's the only Cleo I own in a somewhat decent size - but I hope I can also figure out how red Marcie compare to other Cleos and figure out my size.
