Bra fitting help » one or two cups?
Freya » Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) » 30D 30:4
Issue resolved
I'll try a 28F or even FF...
Original problem
The cup is too small, but the Deco seems like it would fit me well given that my boobies are fairly flat and broad on my frame. I have no immediate issues with the band, this would work but a 28 would work too. Should I get a 28E or F, or a 30DD or E?

helpfulWhen you say 'flat and broad on my frame', maybe you have shallow breasts, this is a great article to read if you're not sure.
http://www.venusianglow.com/2012/09/small-breasts-with-broad-base.html
It also has a lot of recommendations for bras to suit a shallow shape.
You can get a deco in a half-cup which might be better for you, but go up a cup size in it from your deco plunge size.If this is not your shape (hard to tell from pictures) then I'd say definitely get a 28 band, freya bands tend to run big, and try a 28E or maybe F. If you can, order both at once so you can compare them, and then return one.

The deco runs big in the cup, lots of people need to go down a size in it. I have about 4/5 decos, growing out of them now and I'm absolutely gutted, I think they're a great bra. They don't suit me because I'm shallow, but they look awesome in the right size!
No problem :)

I'm fairly shallow for my cup size I guess, not absolutely shallow. I still have a lot of boob for my fat% so to speak...
But if it runs big in the cup I'd need one size bigger right? 28E or 30DD?

No if it runs big you go down a cup size, but the 30D you're wearing looks at least a cup size too small.
I have a 28E deco, do you want to borrow it to check for size?

Everyone says the Deco runs big in the cup, but with me that was not the case. Just throwing it out there. Maybe it's because of the shape of my breasts, I don't know. I normally wear a 30FF, but 28 is possible too. So I ordered a 28FF (one cup smaller), and it was sooooo small on me. I had to go up 2 cup sizes at least. I now ordered a 28GG, so I'm curious how that'll be.

helpfulHi,
Can't see your back so don't know if you have migrated tissue around the back area, so I can only judge what's been submitted.
This fit is not as straightforward as it seems. At first, it looks like the cups fit on the right side but too big on the left side, which is perfectly normal. But take a closer look around the armpit area and you will see there's migrated tissue around both of the armpits. So when you scoop them back in, your cups are not big enough to hold them.
MAYBE try going two cups up to get the bigger side fitted properly and put a removable pads on the small side. This will even out the look of the bra.
Hope that helps..
Thanks

Yeah, true, you get extra band space if the cup fits. I tried on a similar shaped bra in a 30E, don't know what brand it was, but the shape is good. except that cup was too big by far. Half cups work well for me as well... thanks a lot for the link!
