Bra fitting help » The cups have too much extra fabric near the armpits. Should I try a 65K or 65L?

Issue resolved
This is super old and my measurements are now different, so it's irrelevant.
Original problem
So, I finally got to try Comexim. This bra seems to run 2 sizes larger than Ewa Michalak PL Bras (In which I need a 65J/JJ). This is a very good thing, if you are a "true" 30J/JJ you are not sized out of Comexim! This bra isn't horribly large for me, I just prefer more cleavage, more lift and less bra. the cups go very high on my chest, which I don't like. There is gaping near my armpits when I lean forward. What do you lovely ladies think? Should I downsize 1 or 2 cup sizes? Oh, and the band is a perfect fit . Let me know if I should add pictures of a different angle.

helpfulI would think that one size smaller would be sufficient, but it may just be that this style and you are incompatible. It becomes increasingly difficult to get bras which don't come up so high under your arms as the cups get larger, but if you could get something that's a little lower, it may help with some of the fit. You definitely have that 'cutting you off at the armpits' look which I've got in several of my bras, together with wrinkling at the bottom which makes me think that you could do with underwires which sit a bit higher on your frame (a lower cut cup at the sides).

helpfulI agree one size down might be sufficient. However, I almost think that this bra is incompatible with your shape. Do you know if you're full on top or full on bottom? I think even if you sized down you might still experience some gaping at the top by the armpits just based on how lose the bra is all over but extra loose there. If it is too expensive to exchange for a different size or get a hold of a different size I might just return this bra all together and try a different style.
It's difficult to tell by the pictures but it does look like the wire width does fit you well (not lying on any breast tissue on the side). However, it looks like some tissue may be escaping up at the top. But again, this is all difficult to tell based off these pictures - you're a better teller than I am.

I think you're right, it is incompatible, I do well in molded plunges because they keep a round shape, but I fall into the middle of foam lined ones. The worst case was the Curvy Kate Tempt Me which just covered the sides of my boobs and the rest fell in the middle, nipples and all! I am more full in the middle than anything. I am full all around, maybe slightly more full on top than the bottom. If I order from comexim I will probably get a plunge with sturdier material. (I REALLY want the Blue Magic bra) I sold this bra to cellosubmarine and it fits her well and I'm pretty sure she is at least 2 cup sizes larger than I am. So I think I will probably try 2 cups down.
In general, I think I fit better into half cups because they are deep enough in the right size but don't cover my whole chest.

Not knowing you well and without asking any other questions but just reading what you wrote - sounds like you could potentially have semi-soft boobs since they cannot keep shape well in lightly lined plunge bras. the Blue Magic bra is beautiful! I really want it, I just ordered one Comexim so I can figure out my size before ordering more!
Full on top breasts do well in half cups because it allows them space on top - so if you think you do better in those you probably are FOT. :) good luck in finding beautiful bras! :)

I have started saying to almost everyone with boobs that are full in the upper inner quadrant (pic here: http://lingeriebriefs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/breast1.jpg ) that they should avoid plunges, because plunges makes everything pushed into the middle. And there they have less coverage than everywhere else. Consequently the bras will gape on the sides and boobs will spill over in the middle because boobs fuller in the upper inner quadrant simply don't need more fullness in the upper inner quadrant than they already have. One good example of epic fail plunge trials is alisa Another one is Vee and also MilkAndHoney has problems with plunges.
A lot of bra fitters says it's only a problem for soft boobs, but I think soft boobs only exaggerate the problem. It's a worse for soft boobs yes, but it's problematic for firm boobs as well.
The way for me to spot the shape is looking at how a top of a cleavage is angled. If the top of your cleavage looks more straight, while those with less fullness in the middle tend to have a cleavage looking more V-shaped.

helpfulThe only problem I see with the fit is that the straps are too wide for you.
I would try 1 band size larger if you are not able to wear this bra high enough and then 1 cup size smaller.
Most of my bras have straps that are too wide for me. When I try the bra with straps that aren't as wide, the cups usually doesn't seem too large after that (they fit me). I will be altering my bra straps when I get up the courage to do so.

Ereshiy wouldn't be good for her to size up in the band because of the wrinkling at the bottom and so that she could wear the bra higher?
