helpfulThis bra doesn't look like it has underwires. I also think something with a wider band (3+ hooks) and higher wings would look better. I think this bra will technically fit in a month or so after tissue migration, but it's just a blech American-style bra. I would throw it out the window all together. P.S. Your mom is not the one wearing the bras, so you should find what fits and is comfortable to you.

in fact you were one of the ones who thought the 34D in this bra fit me

helpfulI'd say I'd this bra is really comfortable then stick with it- as your tissue migrates you'll fill it out better. The view of the back is amazing- look at how narrow your waist looks compared with some of your pics in 36/38 bands, just goes to show what a properly fitting band can do.

HI,
I will hang on to this, but I will say cups are much too big right now. I am going to give this bra a try again in the 36C and post a request here. Actually I just want a few peoples thought so may just direct you and a couple others to my bra profile. I cannot adjust the straps at all in a 34, they have to be terribly loose, all the way in fact for the bra to be bearable. I also did not properly adjust myself in the 36, never touched straps, etc. I dont know if that will work or not but i need to try. Would you give thoughts when I can get around to that bra? Honestly this bra is not comfortable but its better than the 34D.

From what I can remember of the 36 bands, once you start adjusting yourself and shortening the straps, I'd be worried that it will just make the band ride up, which will make it very uncomfortable for you.
I think one of the most important things for you is that you need to give your body time to adapt to wearing a different style/size of bra- as you've been wearing 36A/38A for so long, you are not going to be used to a) having a properly supportive band (as in one that tacks to your body and doesn't move around) and b)having underwires where underwires should be, so you are going to feel uncomfortable with those things at first. This will be especially true if you try and wear the bra all day from new. I even find this and I've been in the correct size for nearly 5 years- I always break bras in gently, it's much kinder on your skin and torso.
I'll definitely take a look at your other pics- we're all here to provide help and support, and we've all been at this early stage of bra fitting that you are at currently, and understand how frustrating it is.

I do hear ya! I think though that the fit issues in the white 34D indicate a too small band., and I have that bra in red in 34D too and it does the same thing. I dont know if that issue that megstro and I noticed will go away plus I kinda of believe in what MilkAndHoney says about not as tight as can be, but as tight as it needs to be. Will see how it goes with some adjusting.

What worries me tho is that nearly all the pics of you in 36s show a too big band. But if its what you feel comfortable in then it's not my place to tell you otherwise. :) I do appreciate that some people find a bigger band more comfortable- I have a friend who is seriously tiny (she's very slight, a lot slighter than me) but she chooses to wear a band size bigger than me because she finds wearing a smaller size very harsh on her sensitive skin- it's doesn't make the size she chooses to wear wrong- is the best size for her.
I did notice as well that on nearly all your pictures you wear your straps very long. Why is this? Is it because of height or something like that? I'm just asking because wearing your straps too long can have a huge effect on how cups fit, and can cause them to gape and not appear filled, and on moulded plunges can actually make a too small cup appear like a correct fit.
Out of interest- would you be able to try the thrill me again- but wear it on the second hook rather than the first and shorten the straps? I think it might be interesting.
-
I wear the 34d on loosest setting because otherwise bra is too tight no I'm can't try that bra again I'm done.
-
Tryin a bra on now to post

Can't get good pic to post.ok so then what size am I? I cannot adjust the straps any tighter in a 34d, the 34dd cups are too big. Supposedly 36 is too big? I am more comfortable in a 36 and don't think being one band size off is a disaster . Fitters put me in 36 they are off cup size wise but the 34, after 30 seconds on me leaves horrid marks an restricts breathing

If your more comfortable in a 36 then wear a 36. Fitting is always trial and error, and just because you predominantly feel more comfortable in a 36 does not mean you'll be a 36 band in every lingerie brand in the world. To fix some of the fit issues on the bands of your 36s you possibly would be better off wearing them on the second hook rather than the first, as it will make them slightly smaller without them being constrictive.

Hi
I think that is best at this point, starting in the middle. I think in Curvy Kate, the 34 band worked. I did tighten the straps which eliminated gaping, but half the cup on top was still empty. If that does not matter then I still have it. Is it possible that my band issues might go away in the 34? There is some bulge that looks like escaped tissue in the white34. I think maybe too, wider gore could help?

Also most of the 36 bras were over a year old, minus the on gossamer, and beyond bare
-
It's always worth trying a wider gore, even if just to see how you get on with it.
Definitely keep hold of the thrill me- it may come in useful in 8/10 weeks time when you've had some of your tissue migrate, and I think in the long run you'll get on with the band- it's wide and stretchy and soft and gorgeous- I wish all bands were like the thrill me/tease me bands but I find the wires too wide for me so I can't wear them a lot :( plus the band does fit slightly big, so it should be fantastic for you. So even though it doesn't work atm, that doesn't mean it won't work in the not too distant future.
I think the problem with some of the 36 bands you've posted was that because the cup was too small, it was putting the fit of the band well off. But in 36 bands with a cup that fits, wearing the band on a small set of hooks rather than the first should be a god compromise, and you'll get the support of a small band, but you should find it more comfortable for your ribs and skin and breathing. :)

Hi
I think you are right. Not only were those bras older, but they were the wrong style in the cups. And, some were b and a which is too small, and the ones that weren't were c and d, right size but wrong style which made them not fit.
The only new bra I posted in a 36 band that seemed too big was the ciao Bella, the barely there in 36 was fine. I do think the 34 band I tried on today looked better than the 34 in ciao Bella, but still just too tight. Should I try a different cup size in the 36, d rather than c?

Well if the 34D was too small in the cup then a 36C is just going to give the same problems on the cups as the volume will be the same.
It's much better for you to be wearing cups that are slightly too big than too small - a too big cup will not smoosh your boobs like a too small one will.
I think for the time being you will be better off wearing cups slightly too big on you, and then to refit yourself in a few months when you get tissue migration- as you seem to be in an in between cup size atm that doesn't exist :(What I would suggest is that you pay a visit to a department store if you have one nearby and take in as many bras in 36C/D/DD and in 34D/DD as you can find and just try them on - you don't have to buy anything, but you can use it as an opportunity to experiment with brands and different sizes and work out what your comfortable with. Don't accept a fitting from anyone and don't listen to the rubbish they're spouting to other women in the changing rooms - just go of what you think :)
Another point I would say is that I appreciate that bras are expensive - but I think you should try on some more expensive brands if they're in stock- as from my experience the more expensive brands are infinitely superior in cut, style, and sizing. Buying budget brand lingerie is never the best option, very often it's better to buy the good brands in the sale,
which means you get really good quality long lasting lingerie for less money. :) it's what I do as I cannot afford £35 per new bra every few months. -
Hi
This bra is around 40 dollars here in town. Honestly this bra and some ck or betsey Johnson is what Dillard's has. They are not cheap. I live in Montana and its either Dillard's or a bargain store, which like u said I don't want. But if I can get the same expensive bras cheaper online that's what I'll do. I think this bra suits my shape. My wide set breasts leaves me out of 99 percent of store bras.

I do agree that discount stores are not the place to go, and that yes a 34 would work in the right bra. But I am coming down from a 38, so for me this has to be gradual. 36 feels better to me atm.

Definitely stick with the 36 if that's what makes you comfortable! I'd hate you to go against your own thoughts based on what we've said, and you to suffe for it.

helpfulHonestly, this looks way better to me than the 34D. The space you're looking at doesn't look like much in these pictures, and if you haven't been wearing the right bra, then they might fill out from breast tissue migrating back. 34DD in this bra gets my vote.

Hi
I have too many posts. Did u mean this looks better than the pink 34d, or the white 34d?

HI Megstro,
There is a decent amount of space in the cups. How much is acceptable? I tried this bra in yet another color today and have the same issues as the white one. can you look at them? They will be in my profile. Synchrolover said when I posted the 36C that this bra had underwire too narrow for me and I am thinking thats right.

Hi Megstro,
Just one more, I think you are right. My breasts end just above the underwire, and my tissue is already migrating. My old school mom still insists I am a b cup lol.
