Bra fitting help » Absolutely horrendous breast tissue in the armpits– even though bra seems to fit

Issue resolved
I will try longer, slightly wider wires and thicker band with more hooks. I also most definitely need higher wings. Also, I have to be patient with breast tissue remigration, and keep scooping and swooping relentlessly.
Original problem
Warning: Put down any food/snacks before looking at the photos!
This 30E Freya Deco Honey seems to fit nicely but what happens when I put my arms down? No matter how fiercely I try to scoop and swoop (see before and after) seems like the breast tissue just does not like to stay in the cups. The wires in this model come up fairly high, the wings are 3.3" and the 5.2" cups should be wide enough for my breasts, or so I thought.
I'm guessing this is the result of wearing 36AA's (!!) for 10+ years? If so, can I reverse the effects by wearing this bra or should I consider buying other size/model/brand? Does anybody here have experience of Braologie bras or is this an issue that can even be fixed DIY style?
I am getting a little desperate with my bra journey, and greatly appreciate any help and comments!

helpfulI want to say you should start out with a bra with wider wires to help you with migration (or you can use braologie if you're in a rush - I think it's helped a few ladies around here ). You shouldn't worry too much about the back fat, it is perfectly normal to have some, but if you are feeling self conscious about it, a wider band will help. Look for something that comes with 3+ hooks in your size.
For this particular bra, Freya bands run big. If you can get your hands on a 28, it would help a little bit because it wont ride up (pics 6 and 7). A band that rides up looks very unflattering, and may cause lumps in the places you're seeing. It will also last you longer since you're on the second hook already.Updated on July 3, 2013 Flag this

helpfuli'm no expert and i don't want to steer you wrong, so this is just my experience... after stuffing myself into 34As for a decade and moving up to a 32D, i also had the breast tissue spilling from the armpits. i didn't know what it was. i didn't understand how my breast tissue could've migrated that way -- or migrated at all -- since my bras always felt loose. and i didn't know what to do because 34 bands always rode up my back no matter the cup size; i was definitely a 32. so i just stuck with it.
after a month or two of scooping and swooping really well (look up a few videos to make sure you're doing it right -- i thought i was and it turned out i wasn't, haha), i don't have this at all anymore.
so maybe it is migration and that's why, it should sort itself out after a month and everything moves back where it belongs. again, scoop and swoop until you're tired of the damn motion, haha; put on your bras leaning forward (back parallel to the floor), and if you still have some tissue in your armpits, just wriggle it around for a bit and see what good you can do and wear looser shirts for a bit, haha.
but i'd wait for someone else to weigh in to make sure, because like i said, i'm not an expert and i'd hate to steer you wrong LOL. good luck!!

Thanks for commenting slblack. I really appreciate you sharing your bra experience! I'm going to try and be patient, and hopefully this tissue/fat will in time fix itself – well, with the help of right bra and some intense scooping and swooping ;)
PS. I'm going to google for those videos right away :)

helpfulIt actually looks more like back fat squishing out from a too-small band. Maybe try a 32DD next since the cup looks like it fits you well. The wings look high enough and the wires look like they are holding everything in on the sides, but if the band is too tight, especially the top elastic part, you get armpit fat no matter what. Just try it out and see.

I don't really think the band looks too small. If anything it appears on the loose side. And given Molli 's measurements, it doesn't seem too small. I get a similar problem with Cleo Marcie= I admit it is too small in the cup, but it also in the size I have appears too low in the wire and wing.. this can contribute to fat(or breast tissue) spilling out over the top and causing such an effect. I am not sure if this is your problem Molli, But if you have alot of migrated tissue, it could also be a cause and as Noob mentioned, perhaps a wider band may help.

Pic 2 makes it look like the band is too tight. That's what I was basing it on. Sorry (:

No need to appologise :). I think I see where you mean, you mean at the top? I think its from trying to scoop the flesh into the cup that causes the wrinkling in the skin at the top. The band at the back seems to be riding up a bit and is not hooked on the loosest hook.

Thanks Noob. It's weird how fast my under bust measurement has changed in less than a month, and super hard to keep up with fitting bras!
32" bands seemed tight enough only 3-4 weeks ago when I was initially fitted at Nordstrom for 32D, then a lady double checked me when I returned to Nordstrom two weeks later and said my new size was 30DD. And now this 30" Freya seems fairly loose even on the last hook! But really good to know that this model runs big in bands. Thanks for sharing! :)
I might try to get my hands on a 28E bra with high wires before I order a Braologie bra, since I'm not sure if my size is very "stable" yet. The wires in this bra are actually quite a bit wider than my breasts but of course with trying to migrate tissue it might be helpful to have some extra room on the sides of the cups.
