Bra fitting help » Cups too small?
Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) » 36G 36:9
Issue resolved
Ugh, bigger cups
Original problem
Well, this is the best of the three I ordered. I got this, Andorra (36G), the Ariza (36G) and the Jasmine (36FF) and I think maybe the cups are too small? I have trouble wrapping my mind around my boobs being big, I mean I know they are big, but really? Anyways, the wires are okay in this one, same with the center gore (which is a problem on the Ariza). Straps adjust long enough too. =D
Thoughts on this? Because I'm chubby I can't really figure out what is breast tissue and what is just me being chubby under the arms either.
Thanks!!

helpfulHi! I would definitely recommend going up in cups! From what I'm seeing here, the cup is too small, and it also looks like you would do better with a much wider wire - whether that's a product of the cupsize or not would remain to be seen.
As pointed out below, the bra is definitely riding too low, which you may or may not know - my guess is that you'll have a tough time pulling it up far enough because of wire width.I totally get what you mean about not feeling like your breasts are that big - I still feel that way not infrequently, and I wear 34J/36HHs.
Figuring out what's breast and isn't is definitely tricky on a chubbier body, and I think it often comes down to choosing personally what you think and how to fit. When I decided to treat it all as breast tissue, I ended up with much comfier better fitting bras, and better able to stay scooped. In my eyes, the overspill you're having on the side now is quadboob, just not in the traditional place for it. (And the way you look is reminding me a lot of how I looked in a 36G - Cleo » Marcie (6831) back in October that I've since had no idea how I couldn't tell was too small!)
Edit: Oh, and I just realized I'd seen your older fitcheck, too. Yeah, hate to say it, but you should keep going up! I wish I was better at estimating by how much.

Yeah, that's really what I was thinking. I have a hard time believing it! Anyways, I think I can return all three to figleaves and order new ones in larger (ahhh) sizes. =)
I'm going to try the Andorra again, I really like it, it just doesn't fit. And yes, I can't pull it up any higher either. That happens on pretty much all the bra thus far that I've tried on. =) I'll get there, just slowly!
Also, yay a club where people will let me in! ;)

lechevalnoir I think we are so used to seeing what sticks out in front of our bodies as boobs. Especially if that part is round. On me it's like I have 2 sets of boobs. One pair standing up and another pair after leaning over and all that tissue is upon my chest. It's shallow but if it's not inside cups it hikes outside them. Quadboob but to the sides, just like Elphabra said :) Inside cups it quadboobs in the normal way instead. So one just have to take ones pick :D
But Andorra is a really good bra for this shape :)
@Elphabra btw I think you could try the new Bravissimo halfcups in 34J and 36J if you want more stable wires than the Mademoiselle :) Also I looked for a place to discuss the Satine with you :D It looked the same on me :D Orange in a glass and cutting in. On me even when it was too big. Then I just had extra space in the apex. Strange bra.

I've definitely been going back and forth on Bravissimo Sweet Bon Bon Bra (LN163) because I'm a sucker for its cuteness, but I can't decide whether the 36J will work for me - there's serious quadboob in 36HH - Bravissimo » Mademoiselle Bra (LN110) lately. I might put up a fit request. I've been going back and forth and back and forth on whether to get it and Betty Bra (TU103) , but return shipping is soooooo expensive it's an indulgent gamble. I just spent $18 usd sending two bras back to brav!
And yeah, satine is effing weird. it seems to do that on almost everyone, but I thought I might as well see for myself, and I was feeling super desperate for plunges. Weirdly, I'm super in love with and actually wearing today 34J - Bravissimo » Bettie Mae (AU18) , theoretically the same cut! It's not a good technical fit in the traditional sense, it massively crumples at the bottom, but I guess because it's padded in the right way it doesn't bother me at all and is totally comfy. I just wish there were mooore, but sister cuts are all terrible satines. Glad I followed XLhourglass 's lead on it, though.Sorry to hijack your fit request!

Ha Elphabra no worries. =) And figleaves is sold out of the Andorra in my size on sale. =(

helpfulI understand your thoughts. It can take some adjusting, I used to think mine were huge. but in fact I think in proper fitting bras they in fact seem smaller in my clothes now. Don't worry 36G is not super huge- as I have come to realize (I am more 36GG/34H these days).
Onto the bras, I love the colour on that Andorra.. Quick question, can you pull the bra up further to your inframammary fold at the bottom? It appears you have some space/wrinkling there. If you can't it looks like maybe the cups are too shallow for you at the bottom. (I believe Andorra is on the shallow side). ALso have you done the 'swoop & scoop' to get any stray tissue at the sides etc into the cups? I also have trouble distinguising between chub thats meant to be there and actual tissue. but it does appear perhaps you do have some tissue near the armpit that you could scoop into cups. I am not an expert on it though.

Ha yeah, I know, my brain doesn't under stand that though! And no, that's the best it gets, I've had that issue with every bra I've tried so far which leads me to think I need larger still. And yup, totally swoop & scoop, but the arms stuff is hard to get in there!
-
I just reread my comment and just wanted to say when I said I also have trouble distinguishing between chub thats meant to be there and tissue- I was referring to my own chub, lol. But yep does appear to be some and I totally get that its hard to get in there and make it stay!

Ha! That's what I figured you meant anyway. =D

helpfulI agree, with the below comments. You appear to have breast tissue escaping at your armpits, so a wider wire would help. The cups appear too shallow at the bottom. I think sizing up in Andorra will just make the apex of the cup deeper, so while the volume would be closer in a 36GG or 36H, I think it would be in the wrong places for you. I'm not sure what to recommend. I know that the Panache Elsa and Eliza are similar styles, so those might not be great choices either. You could try going up a cup and see what happens.

Elsa is supposed to be from the Ariza cut, so might be a bit different. But Ariza is a bit on the shallow side too and the Andorra I think has wider wires than it.

Ok, that's what I was thinking too. At least everyone is confirming what I was thinking! Still new at this so it's take time to really understand what actually fits vs what I think fits. And yes, the Andorra has wider wires than the Ariza because I tried both of them in the same size and this one fits better, no digging in. =)

Yes Elphabra is right and so we all three probably are very similar, if only in different sizes.
I totally agree with her that when fluffy we simply have to choose what we want to treat as boobs.
I said on your Entice Me fit request Andorra and Bravissimo halfcups would be best and that you probably shouldn't try Andorra in a smaller cup than 36GG. I stick to that :) I then said I thought 36H would probably be best.
So I say try 36GG and H.
Also I think the shape box you should tick is wide root and narrow boobs.
