Bra fitting help » Is this a quad boob or just the style?
Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) » 30E 30:6
Issue resolved
I've returned the bra, and resolved to focus on finding a 30E for my plunge version.
Original problem
I can't tell if I'm getting a quad boob or if this is just the style? I have this in a 32DD in the beige-y color (pearl?) and it fits well. I like the more secure band that the 30E offers, but I can't tell if this one is fitting right or if I should stick to the 32DDs. Maybe this is just a color issue? I can't decide if I should return this or not. I'd be happy to post more picture or run various tests if that helps. THANK YOU!

helpfulHi
I've had both colors.
Purple Andorra runs much smaller and tighter than the pearl. Fabrics on the purple is much stiffer so in reality there's close to one size between them. Also since you went down in band size the whole bra will feel tighter.
Also check out the last bra adventure by user Galactica about shallow boobs. And sine she's pinged she might also help out. I think your boobs are the shallow deceiving type that decided to take up all space on your front and quad all the way to the top

sailorcorgimoon Could you add pics of you in the ivory for comparison? :) I might agree with Vee but I want to see how the other one looks :) Sorry for late answer btw :)

I've posted pictures me in my 32DD - Panache » Andorra Full Cup (5675) that you can see if you look at the review.

Oh, the 32DD does *look* much better, that I can say. But the important is how you *feel* in it.
The problem with bras are this; in a tighter band the bras generally has the fabric pushed backwards by the band and it can make the bra in the front too tight. The looser band however can ride up, which basically makes you in this case be in between two sizes. A possible option is buying a 32DD purple and wear it on the second or tightest hook, or to wear the 30E with an extender. Or get the plunge like Vee suggested.

helpfulIn theory this bra would give a rounder shape in a size up, but going by the numbers I wouldn't reccomend that because it would be too large (if the numbers are right)
On your type of boobs andorra plunge version works much better.Updated on July 7, 2013 Flag this

I have the andorra plunge in a 32DD and it generally fits but the band rides up at the end of the day. I've listed the plunge in hopes of exchanging for a 30E and seeing how that goes.

helpfulI have the Andorra in blue in a 28F, and it fits me similar to how this bra fits you. I ordered it recently, before I got properly measured and discovered I technically need a 30" band. However, the band on my Andorra is pretty comfortable, so I wonder if they run big? Maybe the sizing varies by color as others have suggested.
Anyway, my measurements are similar to yours, and I think I also have wide root, full on the bottom breasts. In the Andorra I have, the cups seem to encase my breast properly, and I even have ever-so-slight quad boob, but the tips of the cups where the seams meet are not quite filled out. I've found plunge styles work better for this reason. I'd be curious to hear about your experience if you get to try the Andorra plunge in your size.

I've heard that colors of bras can affect the sizing, which shouldn't make since but does when you think of how dyes are constructed. I'm glad to hear that the difference in colors isn't just me. Did you go up in the cup for the purple? Did that help?
