Bra fitting help » Too big, Too small or Just Right?
Victoria's Secret » Very Sexy Push-up Bra (281-356) » 34A 34:1
Issue resolved
I tried on a 34B and 32C as suggested but neither seemed to fit well. I think my shallow/full on bottom(?)don't do well with bras that are heavily padded on the bottom of the cups. I'll keep wearing this until the end of it's useful life, but I won't be buying another one.
Original problem
Upon the urging of others I have posted this as my first fit request. I know most of you here have much larger breasts and I can only imagine the difficulty you must have, but don't be fooled it can be hard for the smaller among us to find well fitting bras too. So I would like to know what you think about the fit of this bra?
I like the fit a lot but I think it sits a little low and the wires could probably come up higher on the sides to pull in more tissue.
What do you think?

helpfulIt also looks like the band is riding up, especially in pic # 5 - you can easily tell that the band is much higher behind your arm than in front of it. How tight was the tape when you measured 33"? If it was fairly loose, I'd size down in the band too. You may have tried a 32 band and it felt too tight, but remember that could be because the cup was too small.
I'd almost recommend trying a 32D in the shallow cup bras already recommended.
EDITED: Oh, hey, you might also want to look at Natori. I find their cups to be both wide and shallow, and they've got some very cute styles in the A-D range.

The tape was snug when I measured 33". I think it looks like the band is riding up because the bra sits low and I have the straps shorter so that I can try to pull the bra up as high as I can. I don't think I could squeeze into a 32 but I will certainly give it a try. Thanks.

thelittleone , I see. Keep in mind that most bra bands stretch out a couple inches beyond their stated size, and the stretchiness varies by brand and sometimes even bra style. For example, I measure 35.5" snug, and although my base band is a 36, in some stretchier bands I definitely prefer a 34. You probably will technically fit into all but the firmest 32s you try. Whether you prefer it is a different story! But since you're right in the middle, you might find that the band size you prefer varies from bra to bra. Just remember to go up a cup size when going down a band size.

Shayelea, thanks. I will certainly try a smaller band size.

thelittleone , of course! Good luck! Your girls are going to be so happy when you find the right size! :)

thelittleone,it's funny, cause I realized something.Though it may seem like a smaller band with a bigger cup will be too tight, actually,it will probably fit the same, but better.Cause see, those inches you lose from your band, are going into 2 cup sizes bigger, which is also two inches. So it's still the same bust measurement.

helpfulI definitely think the bra sits too low on you. If you hike the bra up and scoop & swoop again, do you get quadboob?

The first photo shows the scoop and swoop and a very minor quadboob on the left (my larger) boob.

I see. Can you easily try on Victoria Secret bras? If so, I suggest trying on a 34B in the same style, with the wires hiked higher up.

I do have easy access to VS stores. I'll give it a try, thanks for the suggestion.

helpfulDefinitely too small. You need a shallow bra in a larger size. I recommend at the very least, trying out 34B, though my guess is in the right bra, you'll end up in 34C.

Do you have any suggestions for bras with shallow cups?

Sure thing! The b. tempt'd Ciao Bella is pretty good, the Lepel Fiore (plunge or balconette should work, though I recommend the balconette more highly since they messed with the cut of the plunge this season), Pour Moi? gel bras (like the Opulence or Geometric), Mimi Holliday (if you can afford it), Affinitas, and really anything on this list that comes in your size: http://www.venusianglow.com/2012/09/small-breasts-with-broad-base.html

Wow, thanks so much! I can't wait to start shopping.

Just to agree with this recommendation. To me it looks like the bra is about 2 cup sizes small and 1 band size loose - I would look at 34Cs and 32Ds, if possible.
