Bra fitting help » Cups too big or just too tall?

Issue resolved
Both band and cup are too big, so I'm swapping it for something in a 28E.
Original problem
The band is obviously too big (I actually measure a snug 26, so this isn't exactly shocking. I thought it would be much looser, but it seems decently fitted and doesn't ride up as much as I thought it would, but I can fit my whole fist in there as you can see). However, I can't tell if the cups are too big or just too tall, or just the wrong shape on me. (They seem to be made for breasts that are much fuller on top, while I seem to be more full on bottom) I fill the bottom of the bra just fine, but you can see that the top is not fully filled. Should I have gone with a 28E then? Or maybe it's a problem with strap placement, since they're so wide set?

helpfulIf you're comfortable with the 30, I wouldn't worry too much about how you actually measure. Brafitting is first and foremost about your comfort. I think you should try 30DD.

helpfulIt's quite hard to tell, and I'm not great at this but I think maybe you should try a 28E!

helpfulI think since you're finding the band is a bit loose (even if it doesn't ride up a lot), and the cups are a tad too big and definitely too wide, I would try a 28E. In a size smaller the cups shouldn't be quite so empty on the sides.

helpfulI agree, I think a cup size down would be better

helpfulI had the same problem gaping with the Curvy Kate Tease Me [showgirl Collection] (SG2001) , I definitely recommend you to go a cup (and band size) down.
