Bra fitting help » Wire digs in on one side only and band feels too big, gore not comfortable

Issue resolved
It just began to fit a bit better the more I wore it. Although it does still pinch me at the sides of the ribcage by the end of the day.
Original problem
I recently had my breasts augmented and have been trying to sort out what bras I should wear. I feel like I'm a teenager again. I got fitted at a department store at 34D, then went to Bravissimo where they put me in 30G. I bought 3 bras and got them home only to find that they were invariably too big in the cups (wrinkling, pointy boob effect, uncomfortable wires and gores).
I used to wear a 32C (but this was probably the wrong size, I had very little breast tissue before).
I went and picked out this bra on my own, which is by far the most comfortable one I've found so far, but I'm pretty sure it's not perfect. The gore ends up annoying me, so much so that I'm constantly pulling it up slightly throughout the day. The band is quite stretchy, so I end up pulling it down throughout the day. The cups fit OK when I'm standing, but when sitting or reaching, I don't feel like I'm filling them out properly. I don't feel supported, and I'm constantly sweeping my breast tissue in from the sides. The straps have a tendency to make their way to the edges of my shoulders (and I have quite broad shoulders), but if I make them any tighter, I end up with red marks on my shoulders. My ribs on the left side end up a bit sore at the end of the day, but not the ones on the right.

helpfulwhat are your measurements? The bra almost looks like it is too tight because in the first picture and possibly the third one the wire kind of looks like it is making an S shape at the top of the cup. It should form a perfect U type shape around the breast and not be pulled outwards. Also, with your rib cage hurting at the end of the day this indicates the band might be too tight on you. The reason I say all of this is I had a bra once I thought might be too loose or just right at least but it started to be painful and there was a slight S curve in the wire. Once I got an extender to wear with it the bra is soooo much more comfortable and fits way better.
Would it be possible to try to take a photo that shows us the band from the back so we can tell if it is riding up?

helpfulI can tell you're quite petite - and I think the straps are just too far apart on your frame. The wide-set straps are pulling the tops of the cups up into your tissue which is probably where you feel the pinching. You may need a 28 band. The center gore looks too wide for you, as well (from what I can see in the pic, anyways). It seems like the wide gore pushes the cups away from each other, allowing you to spill out when you bend or sit. You need a gore that's going to keep the cups closer to each other. Also, you described yourself as having a "narrow root" but the bra you have on looks like it has a wide and shallow cup structure.
I'm now a 28DD and I'm still in the stage where I'm excited to wear pretty bras for the first time ever...So, in my opinion, you should get a style that "shows off" your beautiful new you and doesn't hide you so much! Plus, you don't want to mush yourself,or escape to the sides regularly and wind up with underarm boobs. Maybe "plunge" styles would be more comfortable? From the picture it looks to me like you may need a smaller band as well.

I agree with the wide gore may be a problem. The plunge style probably would work well if since you have augmented breasts as you would likely have firm tissue meaning you would hold shape well in a plunge and not fall into the middle too much.
I'm not 100% sure on the band, but, I wrote my opinion on that above. Everything else I agree with :)

helpfulI also have a 29 inch ribcage, and I wear 30Hs now, but for years only wore Freya Decos in 32G. The wire along the band would dig in and hurt so bad. I had awful red marks every day, and the skin started to break and blister (pretty description, I know). I thought I needed to get a bigger band, since that sounds logical, but once I got fitted into 30s, the issue went away completely. I also find some 28s comfortable, depending on the brand. I would say to definitely try some more 30s and 28s in stretchy bands. When you brought those Bravissimo bras home, did you swoop and scoop them to make sure all your breast tissue was inside? If so, maybe the issue is with the bra shape. Have you tried Cleos or Ewa Michalaks? They're the best I've found for comfortable narrow wires and gores. My advice would be to spend some time at Bravissimo (you are lucky to be close to one!).

helpfulBra fit better after wearing in a bit, and I fill the cups out now that my breast tissue has softened a bit more. Looks like it's the right size after all.

helpfulI'm new to this myself! But I think you should try a 28 band and a cup size up, but I also think you need to find a bra with narrower wires and close set straps!

Hi there! May I ask as to what you mean when you say 'S' shape at the top of the cup? I've seen lots of people say this and I have no idea where I'm looking or what I'm looking for!
Thanks!
