Bra fitting help » Too much space and maybe too wide?
Knickerbox » Edie Bra » 32C 32:3
This bra just seems to leave me with empty sides. These photos don't show it completely - the one I added showing the gap isn't there.
Looking down, I can see that my breasts just aren't full enough to fill the top end. Do I need a different shape, or is it the size that's the problem?
Also the left strap seems to rub me, but the right doesn't so I don't know if that's design or how it's actually sewn.

helpfulTo me it looks like there is still some breast tissue left to be scooped into the cups underneath your arms - not much, but if done properly you'd notice the cup is too small for you. How is the band feeling? You measure 30" ribcage so there might be space to size down. I'd maybe suggest trying a 30E in some other manufacturer's halfcup model - bra similar to Fauve Celine might look good on you.

helpfulI think it's more the shape of the bra. It's not giving you quad-boob, so it seems like it might be the right size but overall it looks way too small (to me anyways). I have a LeMystere T-Shirt bra that's "technically" the correct size for me, but it looks like a flattening bandeau on me just like your "Edie" looks on you. The straps appear to be too far apart as well as the center gore possibly being too wide for you.

helpfulI agree with lupinesse. Just wanted to add that it looks like you are kind of holding your shoulders up. I used to do this all the time too, I think I was subconsciously trying to "hold up my boobs" with my shoulders. Try pulling your shoulders back and down, and that might help with some of the fit issues!

I second sizing down in the band, as the straps look like they are digging in . If you loosen the straps or take them off of your shoulders, does the band move at all? If the band stays in place when you take the straps down or doesnt move much then the band is ok.
