I will try a larger band size and maybe a different style,
Original problem
I am sort of new to buying bras in my proper size, and I need help figuring out what that is! This is a 28FF, and I know the cups are too large. The band also feels very snug for size 28. Should I size down in the cups and by how much? Should I size up in the band? Is this just the wrong style for me? Sorry the pics aren't great! Thank you!!!

I have this bra! And in my experience it runs pretty true to size on the band, so with a 29" underbust you'd probably be better off in a 30- I'm 29.5" super tight and a 30 is spot on on me. Also I'd say that once you size up in the band then you'll be able to judge your cups better because the too tight band won't be distorting the wires. The cups themselves I find to be pretty open on top for cleo bras (definitely more open than the Melissa), so you may find that unless you have full on top boobs there's always a bit of extra space in the top section of the cups.

Having some side and 3/4 view shots would be really helpful - best with your arm relaxed on your hip but pulled out of the way of the wire. Seeing what the wire width is like on you is important in figuring out fit.

Thank you for the tip! I added a side view photo but will try to add a better one with hand on hip as suggested.
