Issue resolved
Thank all you wonderful ladies for your suggestions. After I closed the band on the tightest set of hooks to stop it from riding up, the gapping was next to none.
There is still loads of empty space on the side, but it doesn't compromise the support, and the shape I get in this bra is exactly what I was looking for.
So if loving it is wrong, I don't wanna be right
Original problem
I have every possible fit issue with this bra depending in what position my body is. Top of the cup mostly gapes, but in some positiones I quadboob.
I get wrinkles everywhere near the wires...
But still, the shape and support are superb.
Seriously, if they'd center the straps, this one could go up to KK.Questions
-is this the best size for me in this bra?
-are my fit issues related to size or cut of the bra?
-are halfcups a good cut for me?
-should I get the sweet bon bon and if so - what size?

helpfulI really think what's causing the gaping when you stand up straight (relaxed shoulders) is that the straps are very far apart. I might be wrong, but I really don't think I am. Correct me if I'm wrong but so far that's been the case for me with every single bra I've tried on. I really think that if the straps weren't set as far out as they are, you'd benefit from a bigger cup size. But then again... That would probably lead to even wider wires, which you definitely don't need. Do you mind wide wires or do they not bother you? I think the half cup design would be very good for you if you'd find that perfect fit. Suitable wire width, the same wire height you've got in this one and an adequate amount of boob space so you won't quadboob. I'm sorry, I wish I could help you better (don't know anything about this particular bra), but maybe my contribution will spark a discussion

I think that's the case too. It's a shame though because you could show a lot of skin even if the strap was a little more centered. Maybe I'm alone with this, but I NEVER find that my bra straps show (unless I'm wearing a top with spaghetti straps) and I'm not wearing turtle necks! :P xD Anyone who's ever had a bra with straps that pop out inside the shirt/top cut?

True :D I have to test it to know :D

I am not sure about anything anymore. Generally my boobs don't conform well to given shape, that's why padded don't work for me and stretchlace is a godsent.
In bras without stretch lace I generally get gaping or cutting in - sometimes depending on the position - this happens to me with cleo and cleo does have straps far apart. So that might be the case. What I am unsure of is how a halfcup is supposed to look (on me).
I kind of think they should make more skin exposed and this is quite a lot of coverage. I do think I would look like bras&bodyimage in a smaller size but I also think that might be because my boobs arent mega firm to stay in that orblike position without cutting in.
Am I making any sense? :( -
Yup that makes sense. Do we really know she doesn't have cutting in as well? XD

helpfulNow seeing your pictures, I say this is probably the best size for you in this bra. I first thought you might could try a 30J - to get narrower wires and the right band size - but seeing picture 6 I think 30J would end up too small in the cups.
Although it might be worth trying it? 32J leaves you with quite a bit extra space on the sides. If 30Js wires would fit better you would still have enought space in the cups. I mean I could be wrong - but try this: hold the bra over one boob and hold it just where you would need the wires to end and the gore to the center (like I did with my Bezyk) so you can narrow down how much "unused" space there is in these cups.
Also what happens if you take in the gore ? (It's never wrong considering that alternation )This is probably a bra that needs compromise, is it comfy and supportive and the issues do not bother you / show under clothes I say it's as good as it gets in that bra So I say go and get that Bravissimo Sweet Bon Bon Bra (LN163) ))

I dont think taking in thegore is even possible with this bra! The wires are next to eachother through the whole legth and taking in at the bottom more then few mm would cause wires to overlap.
Well, Id screw it up anyway :DThere is A LOT of unused space. But.
What makes me not want to try a smaller size is the pictures of me clothed I sent you...I really can't imagine how shape would improve in a smaller size?

helpfulI still think it's so funny we are in the same size in the same cut bras. And are in between sizes for the same reason in the same cut bra. I believe this is how this bra acts. It's so very open on top it couldn't fit firmly towards the boobs without cutting in? Something like that I assume at least. With straps moved the gaping would be gone. However moving straps in this bra is extremely difficult so I've thought about adding some extra strap more to the center and joining the strap on the shoulder. Kind of like your old Braboratory dream strap design but with only 2 straps.
So it's more a choice; quadboob when standing up straight but firm cup when leaning over. Or gaping when standing up straight and quadboob when shoulders are pushed back. Or add some extra straps. If you need narrower wires sizing down could be an option but I do believe you'd get quadboob. I think almost everyone is in between sizes in this kind of bra?
So 32J - Bravissimo » Sweet Bon Bon Bra (LN163) grab the cup where I'm grabbing it and see if the gaping disappears And stock up
Edit: Also try a cup down for science I aim to do that as well My Sweet BonBon is 1 cm less deep than this bra.

OK I have now tried pushing my shoulders back. Same result as you, cutting in :D It's a strap open top issue :D
-
Yes, might be it.
What I find weird is that gapping occurs where I have most volume - middle center part of the cup.
I did have to bend the wires quite a lot toget the gore to tack, I wonder if this is what is causing wrinkles near the gore/ gapping on that exact spot?
Have you bent wires on the bonbon? I found mine ridiculously flat! -
Oh I have to bend all wires away from my body to not get killed by wires. But I agree these wires are flat. I haven't tried bending them. Maybe that would make me end up with more gaping, or would bending wires outwards cause less gaping? I mean if your bending inwards caused more gaping my bending outwards would cause less? Maybe I have to try it XD When I scooped and swooped my associera off I got this fitting somewhat similar to yours and even wires got too wide on me. I am still so shocked about wires getting too wide on me I cannot think straight lol.
But still; We might need to do some alterations to get them work better but it's probably still the best size.
Maybe in other halfcups there might be lace on top that hides gaping or quadboob somewhat (for example the Tease Me and Thrill Me has that), but on this one it's just choosing either of the two options.
I had wrinkling near the gore that disappeared with my mega swoop and scoop and instead turned it to the sides of the cups I think. So I suppose the gore wrinkling might be another way for the bra to tell "hey I'm too wide".

helpfulI would go with shape and not size, the wires are obviously too wide and the bottom does not have enough volume so your boobs don't sit on top of the wire rather they "ride up" causing the quadboob. Sound about right?

Well partially, because I don't get empty space on the bottom just on the sides. If I was to have more narrow wires the cupdepth would be way too large for me. This way it almost works?
Do you think I should give up on it? -
Vee Maybe because your breast isn't filling the bottom it is pressing down on the fabric causing it to buckle, hence the wrinkling? I doubt upping a size will fix the problems..

Since I also have the same bra with the same fit issue I cannot agree more :D I think this is how halfcups are often made since they are supposed to show off a lot of skin?
