Bra fitting help » Still trying to figure out my shape...

Issue resolved
I will try a smaller band and larger cup size. It's too hard to judge if it's the right type of bra until then.
Original problem
I'm having trouble figuring out my shape because my breasts are very soft and somewhat settled. Based on my first fit request with a Lucy 30D, I thought I might be shallow and ordered this bra along with a few others. In the meantime, I posted another fit request with Natori Feathers and someone suggested I may need bras with more depth.
It's obvious the cups are too small and the band is too big (on tightest hook to prevent riding up). Since the Juna is better for shallow breasts, does this mean I'm not shallow? Could it be that my lack of projection is more due to how droopy they've become with breastfeeding and just getting older?
This order included a Marcie 30DD which was also too small in the cup and a little loose in the band.
I've tried full cups but they haven't fit well because I don't have much on top. I'm just not sure what type of bra to try next.

helpfulDefinitely try a 28- tho I'd suggest an f rather than an e, seeing as your quadraboobing in a 30DD. As for shape, your probably better off looking for something open on top like a half cup.
I'm not really an expert on shape (unless its obvious like really shallow or really projected) but have you thought that maybe your actually fuller on the bottom, which therefore makes the top of your boobs seem 'empty'?

helpfulI haven't tried this bra so I am not sure how it fits, but I think it is hard to judge the shape when the cup is so obviously too small. If I compared my too small Marcie http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dhs7i/ to my fitting Marcie http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dhu5i/ they are like 2 different bras. Based oon your Natori I think you need more depth. Even in this bra it looks like it is pulling your apex down instead of lifting. This bra in a bigger cup and smaller band might work. Did you upload the pics of the Marcie?

A couple of more things I was thinking of.
Are you sure the wires are up to your breast tissue underneath? I feel like if you hiked up the bra a bit you might need to go up even 2 cup sizes instead of just the one that you need from those pics. If you aren't completely fitted into the wire you aren't going to get the lift and support the bra is capable of. This Juna looks like it is pulling you down and I imagine there is a bit of a fold underneath. I have to put on my bra and then make sure to shimmy the wires up until they are sitting just at the edge of the breast tissue but not on it.
I wonder if you have tried any of the Freya unpadded styles? Those are deeper or at least the Jolie was for me.
Also Elle Macpherson bras are deeper if you feel comfortable in a 30 band.

Btw, I did notice your new Marcie pictures yesterday and I think it looks great on you!
I've just uploaded a few Marcie pictures but I'm not sure how to add the link. http://bra.pe/XFD3/
In the Marcie I had what you describe above, the band was not supportive and instead I felt my breasts were just sitting in the cups and the straps were holding me up.The Juna felt like it was sitting in my crease and felt more supportive but that may be because it's molded and lightly padded. The two bras I have that sort of fit me are also lightly padded and molded, I was starting to think I'll never find a soft bra that shapes and supports me.
I haven't tried an unpadded Freya but this recent order included the Just Flew In Longline. It almost fit but I think this model is supposed to run shallower, I may try to upload a picture later when I measure the bra. I'll have to order a different Freya so I can make a better comparison.
I really do appreciate your comments and know you understand my problems well!

Your fit comments on the Marcie are gore doesn't lay flat, band rides up, and quad boob. The gore not laying flat could be either that the cup isn't deep enough or the band is too big or both. Also the Band riding up is a too big band. Quad boob is too small cup. With a too big band it is not able to support you. You should try the backwards bra band fitting. Put the bra on backwards pulled up to your crease and see if it feels firm enough without the straps on your shoulders. Also try the tips here: http://www.stackdd.com/2010/07/bra-fitting-guide-how-to-put-your-bra-on-to-get-the-best-fit/
The pictures aren's showing up with your bra so I am looking at the 30DD pics and guessing you are the one with the greenish wallpaper background. If that is not you don't bother reading on. If that is you I think the Marcie doesn't look like a terrible shape for you. I definitely see wrinkling towards the bottom of the cup in the angle photo which makes me think the wire is not close enough to your breast tissue there. Try and lift your breast and wiggle the wire up then adjust the straps and then place your breast into the cup. It looks like it is lifting a bit but the too small cup isn't giving you enough room. Trying a 28F or even 28FF may solve it. Although it still may be a cup depth issue.

Yes, those were my pictures and the inner area is where the wires are an issue. They do however seem to fit fine on the outside edge of the cup, maybe the smaller band/larger cup does the trick...
Thanks for the fitting tips!

helpfulI don´t think the shape is wrong for you (though I´m not an expert). It just seems that the cups are too small and band too big, so I´d try a different size.

I have ordered a couple more in a size 28, thanks!

I'm going to give this one last try and order a couple of 28s from Amazon. Yes, I do think I'm full on bottom and maybe I should look for some half cups to try. Thanks for your reply.
