Bra fitting help » Cleo Juna too hollow AND giving quadboob to very soft pendulous breasts
Cleo » Juna Balconnet Bra (6461) » 30DD 30:5
Issue resolved
Ended up with a 30E that fits perfectly!
Original problem
The band fits wells, except for around the armpit area of my left side (which I'm guessing is migrated breast tissue and will move back with time?). My left breast also has a little quadboob if I move my arm in a certain position, but both breasts can also leave some hollow space in the top of the cup (near the straps) if arms change position. I'm new to buying proper bras, so I cannot tell how this should fit, or what size I should try next. Please help!

helpfulWelcome to the new world of figuring out your right bra size - it can be so frustrating but sooo worth it.
Thanks for posting a gazillion photos. That really helps a bunch! Honestly, the Juna just might not be the right shape for you. It never really worked for me either. I got odd armpit boob and gaping at the top even though it SEEMED to fit.
It looks like you need to go up a cup size - Try a 30E and see what you think. I'm saying that because it doesn't seem as if the wire/cup is encasing all of your tissue. Due to the quadboob-you might want something a bit more open on top like a padded half cup (maybe you could try the Freya Marina Padded half cup or something with similiar lines? http://www.barenecessities.com/freya-marina-padded-half-cup-underwire-bra-aa1273_product.htm?pf_id=FreyaAA1273&search=30E&manual_cm_sp=SlotLocation-_-R1C4-_-FreyaAA1273)
Also - does the 30 seem snug enough? Looking at your photos it looks like it is riding pretty low on your back. This indicates that you might want to size down to a 28 so that it sits firmly across the middle of your back. If you size down try a 28F and see what you think.

helpfulI think if the Juna's wires cut into your breast tissue in the sides, then - even though it's a size too small - it's the right type of bra for you. You can find some other bras that you could try here: http://www.bratabase.com/profile/65y/adventures/1530/
Also, I agree with CassandraD82 , the Juna runs small in the cups. It's not surprising it's too small, whereas the Patsy was too big in a 30E. I wear a 30D in Freya halfcups, but a 30DD in the Juna and its sisters.
Unless you took your ribcage measurement extremely loosely I wouldn't suggest going down a band size. The band doesn't have to be as tight as you can possibly bear, but just tight enough to stay in place if you move around wildly, throw up your arms, ... I can close most of my bras on the tightest hooks right away, but I don't need to. I think you could try Lucy, maybe order Marcie as well, because for some people only one of them fits well.Updated on June 18, 2013 Flag this

helpfulMy breast tissue is very soft/fleshy in the center of my chest and I struggled with the Juna bra as I felt that when I moved, I was falling out of the lace. I ended up going to 1 cup size up in Juna from my normal Cleo/Panache size to gain a bit of extra coverage. You could try the 30E.
Fitters usually steer me towards bras with a high center gore (the triangular center piece that lays flush against your sternum) and a balcony shape (as I often cannot fill out the full cups towards my underarms). The Freya Deco is a terrible shape for me as is many plunge bras and I fall out of the center and don't feel separated or secure.
I would recommend going up 1 cup size for this style. Or, you could consider a different style altogether. You have a lot more options in the DD/E category that I can't personally recommend as they're not made in my size.
However, if you want a padded nude bra I would recommend trying the Fantasie Smoothing TShirt Bra in the 30DD. Or Panache also makes the Porcelain bra up to a G cup and that might work a bit better for you.

Thanks a bunch for your suggestions :) I think I may try the 30E in this before I give up on this style, because I love it so much! I'm a bit worried about trying bras that have too much of a molded cup, as I find they kind of "scoop" my breasts and leave a lot of room at the top of the cup (sorry, having trouble expressing that haha), although it was in the incorrect side (36DD). Do you think that soft-cup or no padding/lining would be better for us soft-breasted folk? Like I said above, someone suggested the Cleo Lucy to me a bit earlier, so I'm thinking of trying that one out.
Thank you again!

I much prefer non-padded bras but that might be just personal preference! I find most padded bras have a bit too much of a push up effect ... (like this http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/b/0/0/aa/d/AAAAC6ppVpsAAAAAAKreVA.jpg?v=1264621080000) and my cleavage ends up wobbling about like an 80 year olds woman's.
I've tried the Lucy and loved it (just only ever seen it in very bright colours that aren't practical enough to make me buy it!). I find the fit of a lot of Cleo bras are great - especially like the Marcie and Alexa models they bring out in new colours all the time. I also adore the Panache Andorra with its supportive and forgiving stretchy lace upper edge although its pointy shape isn't for everyone. I own the Panache Tango, Loretta and Ariza they really have wider underwires than I should wear.
For everyday bras I turn time and time again to my Fantasie Smoothing range - the Smoothing Moulded bra (it's unpadded and wrinkles a tiny bit at the top edge on almost everyone, but I forgive it this flaw for amazing shape and comfort) and the Tshirt Bra which I find is a slightly harder shape for me to wear naturally.
There are probably a lot more options for you in your size range that I've never tried. Envious!

Read the reviews of Lucy to see how it might fit with your shape. I too have soft pendulous breasts but a different size, plus I'm short, so your mileage may vary! I second the comment about the Fantasie bra. I seldom wear molded and I do have a little too much room up top in that one (I have the strapless version) but man is it comfortable (the short periods I've worn it) and gives a lovely shape.

helpfulIf you would like to try a 28 band I just listed a 28E. It does look like the bra is low on your back, is the underwire sitting right below your breast?

helpfulI also have very soft breast tissue and would suggest you do not buy any more half cup style bras. I've found that either I'm falling out the sides, have no lift, are gaping, or are much too large and offer no quality support. I find I need the outer sides of the bra and the wire to be high. I've had great success with the Change Lissi Balconette http://www.biggerbras.com/bgbmobi/products/change-lingerie/change-balconette-bra-37104304.shtml , though I would suggest going up at least one cup size since the bra gives a very high profile and the cups are not deep. Also, are you scooping and swooping into your bra? If you do in the bra your wearing above, do you have quad boob? And if you move around a bit does your breast tissue try to escape through the sides of the cup by your armpit? If so, the cups are definitely too small.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for your help. I've actually tried on a 30E - the Freya Patsy Half Cup - and although I liked the style, it was too big in the band (I could easily put it on the tightest hook) and also too large in the cups. I wanted to try on a smaller size but that was the smallest they carried in store, and unfortunately it seems like Freya doesn't make many 28 bands in their half cup styles :c For this bra, the band seemed fine, if not a bit too tight, but that might be because the cups are seemingly too small as well. I might give 28F a try, though :)
I posted asking for feedback on this bra on Reddit as well, and they also said this may not be the correct shape for me. Such a disappointment, as this is such a pretty bra! I prefer simpler bras in solid colors like nude or black. Do you think the Cleo Lucy would fit me? It was suggested to me on Reddit. If so, what size would you suggest? Are there any other styles that you can suggest?
Thank you again. I appreciate your help so much!
