Issue resolved
wrong cup style. Found a bra that works though thanks.
Original problem
HI
This bra is a very bad match for me . The wires in this bra arent nearly wide enough, and the cups dont run small. I would be a C cup in this bra, which they dont make. However, the band size did work very well! I am not afraid to try other 34s now, so that is a success. I would still like thoughts on this fit though. I am awaiting my B. tempted Ciao Bella in 34DD. I think that, or 34D will work. Wires totally encompassed my breasts in that one. Here, the wires dont go back far enough yet the cup has lots of space at top. Might there be another Curvy kate bra to try?

helpfulThe cups are just the wrong shape for you. They are just too full on top. I wouldn't give up! I don't know what your breasts are shaped like, but get to know your shape and how certain styles will fit you. I would also look at people who are similarly shaped and see what they like. I would be interested in seeing how the 34DD looks in the Ciao Bella or a similarly shaped bra. You would NOT be a C cup in the Curvy Kate (if they had it). Since you're saying the underwire is not wide enough, the C cup would be worse.

Thats exactly what I was going to say, that it looks like you need wide wires but shallow cups. The Thrill me technically should fit into that category. I am not sure what to suggest for you, sorry.. I am sure someone with some more knowledge may come along who can suggest somthing. But looking at you pics, I do wonder if you need more depth in the bottom of the cup than what this bra gives? You appear to have some emptyness down the bottom of the cup maybe? So your breasts aren't fitting in it properly.

Have I or anyone else suggested Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675) to you RADIO10465? It might be worth a shot. In 34DD and 36D
It has a spreaded cup depth and is rather shallow on bottom and it lifts boobs from there slightly because of that bottom. The Thrill Me I think is even shallower on bottom and also narrower wires. Andorra wires tends to be wider than expected. For some of us it's good and for some it's bad.
-
Panache Andorra is really deep and narrow in that size range, pretty sure that wouldn't work out.
-
Jillsas Oh, thanks! I had no idea it turned out different in different sizes! How sad ;/
-
Thanks all,
I think right now it does seem my best bet is that b. tempted in a different size. In this bra, this wires are just as narrow as anything I try on in the store, you can see where the wire stops short on the side. In the Ciao bella the wire seemed flexible too, which someone else also pointed out to me. i am going to check out the link I was given on here again for bras that might work for me too. At least now I am getting closer, and can see that in some cases even a 34 band might work. I was very nervous to go with a 34 and was shocked it fits in this bra. Will keep trying and posting here. I cant be that weird shaped.

All breasts are shaped differently, so even if something is suggested because of your shape, it may be suggested by someone who has more breast tissue or slightly different shape and therefore fits them but not you. This actually happened to me recently... also always remember it's not you, it's the bra! :)

HI,
Thank you. To Naturally so, yes, bottom of the cup is rather empty as well., and if I try and make the bottom fill up that causes too much gaping on top. Wrong cups entirely. To Megstro, this is the story of my life. Super wide wires or bras with flexible underwires will have to be the way to go for me.

helpfulFYI this line is usually considered to have a very stretchy band. So you might find that other 34s are too small.
The cups are just shaped wrong- it looks like you need a wide, shallow cup. You might like the Panache Tango, it is wide and shallow. Panache Sienna could also be a good bet for you. You might also like some Elle McPhereson styles, they run small and can be shallow and low-cut. I suspect you need bras that are low-cut as you seem to be fuller on bottom.
Also, Victoria's Secret is in your size range and has very bendy underwires. You may find a good fit there.
Branarchist and Jillsas I'm a 34GG-H in Panache Andorra and it is deep and narrow in my size range. In 34D I am guessing it would be more shallow, because a 34 is a 34.

HI RockTheCurves,
You are right, I am a bit fuller at the bottom, and need a wide shallow cup. VS bras dont work for me at all, in fact I cannot really find anything in physical stores that does. Even the b.tempted Ciao Bella, which does happen to be sold where I live, has to be ordered special. That same store does carry Elle McPherson but the last time I tried a bra of that brand even the 38 felt too tight, but once again that could have been a cupsize and style issue. I will look a bit more seriously into that brand! Full coverage bras do seem to be something I won't be able to wear due to my shape.
What size would you suggest in Panache Sienna and Tango?
RADIO
-
The Sienna is definitely shallower. If you can find anything, the Confetti is also pretty shallow. Also, why would the Andorra be any shallower in 34D just because it has the same band size as 34GG-H? Honestly, the bras that work on big breasts really don't size down very well in my experience, that's why the list on Venusian Glow's blog are mostly small bust bras for smaller breasts specifically.
-
HI Jillsas,
I will look for those two bras. Now that I am closer with band size I am not giving up on finding that right shape for me.

Ladies,
Have any of you ever tried a Cosmopolitan balconette? It only seems to run up to a D cup, but looks fairly shallow. Is there a way I can post a link to it for opinions?
RADIO

They do look shallow, especially the Atlantis Embroidered, but I don't know how wide the wires will be.
Based on the fact that 7 inches to too small for a cup width for you, I wonder if you're like me, and need underwires in a different size from the cup (the closest I've found to what I might need is 40H Tango wires, despite the fact that I only need the volume of 30H or 28HH). It would be really hard to find wires wider than 7 inches in 34D, considering I have trouble with that already in a much higher size.
-
RADIO10465 I'm not very well-versed in smaller cup sizes, sad to say, so I suggest trying out the 34D and DD and seeing how they work for you! Tango is shallow and wide, and roomy in the bottom rather than the top.
Jillsas I was guessing that the cups were shallower in smaller cup sizes because there is less cup volume distributed across the same chest area. Judging by the measurements on Bratabase, it appears I was right: the Andorra never becomes a shallow and wide bra, but it does become more shallow.
A lot of wide-boobed reviewers love Andorra. So I think it is worth considering. I do think that a bra really needs to be redesigned for smaller boobs though; they can call it the same bra, but you can't just scale it down.
-
OH something I just thought of:
Panche Ariza is quite shallow and wide. It is crazy shallow imo. Also, Fantasie makes some plunge bras that are shallow and wide. These are the plunges without side support.
And, a few years ago I tried some Chantelle bras and found them very shallow. I don't remember if they were wide, but I do remember that they basically flattened my deep boobs.
-
HI all,
Jillsas you could be right about my wire needs, and I think its going to be more of a "good enough" instead of "perfect" for bras for me.
Thank you Rockthecurves,
I will look for those bras you mentioned. Hopefully the cup sizes will work out.

rockthecurves I think you're thinking too much like a full busted woman. Bras that work on big boobs almost never size down well (or size up well). Most of my friends are on the smaller end of the spectrum, and there are only a few unicorns from specifically full bust brands that fit small busts well too (Panache Confetti, Curvy Kate Showgirl, and Freya padded half cups are really all I can think of). The Ariza is supposed to be the Tango of full on top breasts (sort of), and is therefore built to support much larger breasts. If there's one problem every single company I can think of has, it's that they don't scale their bras right for every size. I really don't think the Ariza will work on RADIO sized boobs. Have you seen this list?: http://www.venusianglow.com/2012/09/small-breasts-with-broad-base.html it mostly caters to small busts that are shallow (which admittedly is most small busts, less large busts). That is really the most successful list I can think of.
By the way, RADIO, I've been feverishly searching bratabase for bras with wider wires in smaller sizes. Rosa Faia might be successful, though I'm not sure. In 30D (two volumes smaller than the 34D I think your baseline size is), the wire width of a bra was 6", which is quite wide. It also looks like it might suit your fuller on bottom breasts. Also, the Alegro Floral Jewel (misspelled as Flora Jewel here on bratabase) looks like the shallowest thing ever to the point where you might be able to size up in the cup until the wires are wide enough without much issue. It would be a risk though.
-
Jillsas I suggested Ariza because I found it to be very shallow and wide. I tried one on the same day that I first tried Andorra, both in 34GG. The Ariza was too shallow; in a 34GG it smashed my boobs flat across my chest. If I sized up to get enough depth, the wires were too wide.
-
rockthecurves I'm sorry if it seems like I'm giving you a hard time, but bras in your size range are built totally different from bras in RADIO's size range. It might be shallow in your size, but like I said early, companies don't size down (or size up) bras very well. Curvy Kate and Panache are notorious for this. In our size range, they're both considered fairly shallow (with the exception of the Tango) and wide, but as you go down in cup size, they're still scaled for larger breasts (which overall are narrower and more projected than smaller breasts, even the larger shallow breasts). You need to think and research smaller breasts more I think. The Ariza is a full bust bra, through and through (even if it's shallow in larger sizes), and I'd be hesitant to suggest it for someone as shallow as RADIO.
-
HI Jillsas,
Your help is SO appreciated.I will check out that Floral bra, and get back again on the venusian glow link. I have been there before, and anything is worth a shot. I agree with you that companies dont size up or down well in bras. It does seem like bras that work for the g cup set wont work for the d or d cup, and vice versa. Its really something that occurs in all bra lines, even cheap ones.

helpfulIs the frilly stuff the only part that is gapping or is it the actual cup?

The actual cup. I'm not sure these uk brands, including panache, will work. Cup is too deep and wires narrow. Anxiously awaiting ciao Bella. I bought both 34d and 34dd to try in that one.
-
The wires in that ciao seem much wider for some reason

helpfulI think the only Curvy Kates that would work for you (maybe) would be the wide styles, like Tempt me and Daily boost . They are other shallow bras, but they are also 3 part cups. Personally, I really like the Tempt me because it comes in really cute colours and it fits differently from most other 3 part cups I've tried. I recommend you try it in 34DD or 34E if you go for that one in the gold/black, scarlet/black and coral/black. The midnight blue/black and charcoal/raspberry should be fine in 34D.

I hadnt thought of that Noob, its worth a try. I know the ciao bella is also a cup that has "parts" so it maybe be I need to consider that. thank you and I do have a 34d and 34DD coming to me I will be posting

When I was smaller I loved Soma bras. My favorite was the Hope Essence, but I am more full on top than on the bottom, but the Hope had wide wires, side support panels above a D cup, and stretchy cups. Just thought if you have a Soma where you live, it might be worth a try. They run from AA to DDD in most styles, from 30-40 band size. I found they ran a bit big, so maybe a 34 C or 34 D (US sizes) would be a good starting place if you try them.
-
HI,
No we dont have them. I did try their bra calc once and they had me at 38D lol! Might be able to find those on ebay.

HI
I am wide set, and very shallow. This bra was suggested to me on here for my shape. You can take a look at my past fitting requests I think. The ladies on here say based on my measurements, and how B and c cups fit, that D is most likely my bet in the right bra.I measure 34 underbust and 38 at the nipples for cup size. I think the B. tempted Ciao bella looks good on me. The cups seemed much better. I had it up for a fit request, but it was a 36C where the band was too big. Me and one other person thought 34DD,some 34D, so I will wait and see.
