Bra fitting help » Unsure and frustrated
Curvy Kate » Pebble Padded Bikini Top (CS6011) » 32JJ 32:14
Issue resolved
It's just too small and the cut is wrong. Old CK bikini cut fits me so much better.
Original problem
I know that the cups are too small. I'm just frustrated with it since I hoped it would fit as well me like last years Bondi Breeze had. I paid 4.95£ postage, will pay about 4£ return, and 4.95£ for exchange order.
So I need opinions: would 32K solve my issues?
Quadboob issue would probably be solved in 32K, but will the wires be tall and wide enough in a size up to give me the support and secure feeling that Bondi Breeze gives me?
Opinions please, also does the print suit my skin color? I don't think so but then I'm just frustrated about postage money wasted.

helpfulI think the color looks beautiful on you, you could always ask curvy kate for the measurements of the 32K and then go from there. I would also suggest trying to sell the top on here first so you don't have to pay for all the shipping.

also I believe this one from ck is a similar style in they have the measurements for the 32K on here http://www.bratabase.com/browse/curvy-kate/rio-ruffle-bikini-top-cs3001/32K/ hopefully that should help you

I have the Bondi Breeze in 32J (cup depth 35cm) and it's quite a good fit for a Bikini. Rio Ruffle and Caribbean should therefore be similar in sizing I guess. Pebble is from new season and they changed the cut. My fit issues could maybe be also caused by the changed cut and not only by sizing. Bondi breeze had higher wings and taller wires which I need. Pebbles wires feel too low on the sides to give enough support.

helpfulI'm afraid I don't feel confident I have anything useful to add as to the fit, but as far as the colour, I can at least say I think it looks great on you. I disliked this colourway in all the promotional things I saw, but on you I suddenly think it looks awesome.
( I'm also surprised by your sizing revelation! I ordered a horizon in my panache size, two sizes down from my ck, and got what seems to be a good fit, though it hasn't had an actual trial run yet.)Updated on June 25, 2013 Flag this

I'm no help with CK fit either (sorry!) but wanted to chime in and agree about the color and pattern being great with your skintone (and haircolor.) Hope you can find a size that worka for you, I know how disappointing tossing money at postage can be!

Seconded, polka dots are always great and I think the color looks nice on you.
I bought the horizon halter top in 30J, my usual Cleo size, and it was true-to-volume with a typical UK 30J, but very wide and shallow in true CK fashion. It did not fit me well because I have a narrow and projected root; I had lots of empty space on the sides and quad-boob in the middle.
I also have a 32H carribbean curve tankini, and that one has significantly narrower wires for just one cup size down, still too shallow and gives quadboob, and band was ridiculously too large - at least a 34. I took three inches off the unstretched length and it is still kind of loose on the tightest hook.
Not sure if that really helps you, but that's the best I can do to compare the fit in old/new unpadded CK swimwear.

Wow! Either we are collectively bad at measuring or something odd is going on, alisa ! My horizon padded is a sister size of this, and I measured an inch more cup depth than yours.

Thanks for your advice, guys :)
EllenMcisaac I read that CK Tankini did run very loose in the band in the past. On new ss13 collection they have apparently fixed that.
Elphabra : Wow, that's weird. I will definately remeasure mine to double check! Btw. look at this comparison: http://www.bratabase.com/compare/dhki7/
The cup depth of the 32HH is about the same as on the 32JJ!!!

helpfulHave you tried a band extender? That might make it to where you can wear it? I know that you can tell more than I can that something's not right, but I just wanted to say I really like that bra and I think it looks nice on you. There's got to be a solution because you really don't want to say bye to it. I'm thinking if my 1st idea doesn't work you could alter or have tailored. ?? Hope this helps

Thanks. I already asked Curvy Kate customer service but they said they don't have stock of this item there to measure :/
