Issue resolved
Will try in both 28H and 28GG
Original problem
I’m wearing the Cleo Meg in 28H and I'm wondering if I should try a 28GG in this bra. There’s definitely some space along the top portion of the cup, but the ribbon sits nice and flat on my breasts.
The lift and support this bra gives is fantastic. I love the firm band and cups. I've never had my ladies so front and center! As you can see though, I have this crease at the top where the upper part of the cup is sewn. This leads me to believe I should try a 28GG. Before I do, however, I wanted to get some feedback, since return shipping is not cheap from Canada. Even though there's space at the top of the cup, the ribbon sits flat on the top of my breasts. The rest of the bra feels like it fits wonderfully too. I’m very comfortable with how the cups hug on the sides and bottom and gives everything a rounded look. The profile is not ideal, but the lifted and weightless feeling I get is more than enough to make up for it. I'm also worried that with monthly breast fluctuations (scheduled to happen in the next couple of weeks), I might be getting some quadboob if I exchange for a 28GG. My question is, will sizing down address the problem of the empty space at the top, or will it actually start to constrict the other parts of the cup which fit nicely right now?
Any help is appreciated! I'm so happy to finally be joining this community!

helpfulThe Meg is a very generous bra. I found the Marcie in 32J when I tried it to have the weird internal quadboob thing (I'm not sure if you've ever tried out a Cleo Marcie in a size that's a tad small, but it's a common complaint in reviews), but the Meg in 30J was spot on in the cups. I can see that you've got a bit of wrinkling in the bottom of your cups at the moment. Have you got your wires pulled right up into your inframammary fold? I know in this size range sometimes it's just the bra plain doesn't have enough immediate projection, so you can pull the bra right up and still get wrinkling in the bottom, but it's a good idea to cover your bases. I think you may also be suffering a little from the fact that the straps are a tiny bit wide set for your shoulders. When you angle straps in, the cup tends to distort a bit (I know from personal experience).
The projected, deep shape looks good on you! I think that one size down will probably be a better fit, as long as the wires don't become too narrow for you at the sides. You seem to not quite be filling out the top, bottom and sides of the cup, so there's room for you to shrink down a bit everywhere. Based on measurements here, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in wire width between the 28GG and the 28H, so I think it may be a good bet.
Edit: Also- welcome to Bratabase!

helpfulAre you sure the band is tight enough? From the last photograph I'd say that you could go down a size.
I am not sure about sizing down in the cup size, because of the fluctuations. For now, however, you can see that it is too big. Maybe you can figure out or estimate how much the difference is (for example 1/2 or 1 cup size)? Perhaps by trying to put padding into the cups now and see how you fill it afterwards? I think regular padding would equal about 1 cup size (at least mine does). If you still have room after trying it with padding, you can probably size down safely in the cup size too.

helpfulThanks Ereshiy and Myrabella for your advice. I'll give your suggestions a try and see if it looks any different! The band does ride a up bit, but I don't think these come smaller than 28 band. I might just bite the bullet and order a 28GG to do a comparison.
Concerning the cup shape, I think soft cup Freya bras fits me a lot better. I have the Tara plunge in 28H and the fit is pretty good. However, it does not feel as firm and uplifted as the Cleo Meg. I suppose I have a penchant for bras that are super secure feeling. Are there any other soft cup bras I could be trying? I have a collection of Freya Decos in 28GG that I am in love with, but with the humid summer approaching, I wouldn't mind some softies to put in my rotation
