Issue resolved
Guess I just need to go bra shopping ^^
Original problem
This never fit me properly but it was the best I could find before I knew my real size. The projection is pretty much the only problem if the size was right- not enough if I had the straps tightened to where the gap at the top disappeared. I hate how from this angle you can tell how I'm bulging towards the gore. I have very soft tissue from weight loss, very short very narrow roots, and they sit very close together. Fullness is about even I think, edging toward FoB.

helpfulThe band is definitely riding up, so 30 and 32 bands are definitely worth exploring. In addition to a projected, FOB shape, I am also seeing short roots. There are a lot of 30 and 32 band bras out there catering to projected shapes, and FOB and/or short rooted shapes. The hardest part will be to find one where the gore is narrow enough for you. I think that you might have success in either the Cleo Lucy or the Cleo Lily, but if the gore is too wide you may need to do a gore alteration or look into Polish bras (some Polish bras have overlapping underwires at the gore, and thus a super narrow gore).

helpfulYou're definitely not a 'peculiar' size, you just are outside of matrix sizes (I'd say most women are). From your measurements you seem like you would fit a 30 or firm 32 band better. In this bra your breasts are too big for the cups and the band is too big, so your breasts are pushing the bra down in the front and the loose back is going up. You need a strong, firm-fitting band that will stay anchored so the cups can lift your breasts. I think I'd recommend starting around a 30GG, look for bras on here that have a cup depth of about 11 inches since that's your horizontal perimeter. I'm guessing you live in America since you're wearing Maidenform like I used to. Freya and Panache bras are pretty accessible on Amazon if you want somewhere that's easy to return, or if you'd rather pay less and resell them you can find lower prices on eBay. You can also look at listings here as well, or if you'd like to try on first you might have luck at Nordstrom or Nordstrom rack. Best of luck to you!

helpfulScharminkeltje made a really good analogy about the snooker ball vs bean bag. I actually never thought of it that way in relation to moulded vs soft cups
One thing you might try is something with a slightly higher gore. You mentioned there's very little space between your boobs, but I think a Freya Deco in 30FF or 30G might still work with a 2 inch gore. The bottom of the gore in the Deco starts lower than your Maidenform so it wouldn't come up as high as it would seem. Although I'm hesitant to recommend a moulded cup bra like the Deco as a starter bra, I've noticed that it's easier and more comfortable for most people to transition to their "new" size if they try a similar style to what they are used to wearing. If you're in North America (like I am), 80% of bras available to you are moulded cup plunge style tshirt bras. Afterwards, you can ease into soft cup bras and have a good mix in your rotation.
Another tip to control the spilling is by placing your index fingers between boobs and doing the windshield wiper motion while standing upright. That helps to bring back any tissue that might have spilled towards the middle during the swoop and scoop. It would only work in a cup that's big enough for you.
Good luck! The community here is very supportive and not only are we addicted to bras, but we are also addicted to helping people benefit from finding better fitting bras.

helpfulThe bra is too shallow in shape, I'm no good with the sizing on here, so without an actual bust measurement I have no idea what cup size you'd be but you need a more projected shaped cup (Cleo Lily, or rather Hattie which seems to be the current one of that shape would be a good start) maybe 2-3 cup sizes up which would be 30EF/FF, sure you may be bigger, struggling to tell. Trying on more than one cup size is always good.

helpfulI realize that I'm way behind the times here but I decided to comment because I have very similar measurements as you (29 in comfortable ribcage, 11 in horizontal perimeter, 8 in vertical) and I wear a 30FF/G. I think a 30 band would work best on you, the 34 is way too large. I find Freya bras to be very comfortable because of their narrow wires and Parfait wires are too wide on me so they'd probably be too wide on you. I hope this helps a little. Freya Parade is very comfy and gives a great shape. I wish I could offer more bra advice but I just started figuring all this out myself. I hope this helps a little at least.

helpfulI think that you need to choose soft cup bras next time. Breasts generally can be categorized as either snooker balls or beanbags. Beanbag fits poorly in a round solid container, but nicely in a net. I have the same problem and though I love padded bras, I put more and more faith into soft cup bras, as they fit better, don't gape and I have a nice, round shape.

Yes, I was also thinking the FOB friendly Cleos - maybe even a 30G? Once you find bras that fit you will be less likely to think your boobs are strange. Trying to fit your body in to a 34C is what strange.
Looking at your pics again I dont even think you are FOB. I think the bra just doesnt give you any support, so your boobs are just sagging. I really wonder if proper support would make them pop on top
