Bra fitting help » Cup fits 1-2 sizes smaller than Ritzy

Issue resolved
It appears 28FF would possibly be a half cup too small, and 28G a half cup too big. 28FF is sold out, so I'm going to exchange for 28G and use cookies if needed.
Original problem
Hello everyone, I am very sad to say that a bra that I fell in love with back in spring didn't work out. Once again, I have found that Curvy Kate just can't control the urge to make all their cups mismatch each other across sizes, and even across the same style! This bra is basically the same cut as the Ritzy, and yet the wire width is about a quarter inch narrower, and cup an entire 3/4" less deep than the Ritzy. I need to quickly reserve a size to exchange for with Brastop before they all sell out. Sadly, the 28FF appears to be sold out, but there are still 28Gs. Do you think I would have to size up just one cup, or is there enough of a difference and enough spillage to justify going up two cup sizes?
I'm just so confused and upset because in the two other sizes that have been added from actual users, they match the Ritzy measurements in the same size perfectly. Why have I always found problems in the smaller sizes?!
Any and all suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!
For comparison, the Curvy Kate Ritzy in 28F and Cleo Maddie in 28FF fit me nearly perfectly.

helpfulWow that's tiny -- I kind of think it might be a manufacturer error. I would actually first try to exchange it for another 28F. Then sure, if that doesn't work out you could always try the G, but I think it would be too big.

Also, I forgot to mention, there are multiple reviews on the Brastop page form users who also had to size up from their usual CK size because the cups were too small. So not sure if a trend across all sizes, or a reoccurring manufacturing error. :/

Ok, sorry, another comment... So I just looked at the 28F Ritzy page, and it appears I am the only one to add my bra measurements. Want to guess what the interpolated measurements for Ritzy are? 4.9" cup width and 8.0" cup depth. So basically, the soda pop IS correct, and my Ritzy runs large!! My cup depth better matches the interpolated for 28FF. Now I'm really confused about CK sizing. :/ So apparently, my Ritzy was the fluke, and the Soda Pop is correct. So I really DO need 28FF, which is sold out. :( So maybe 28G would just be a tiny bit too large?? One can only hope :P

helpfulThat is a super pretty bra
I have both the Ritzy and the Soda Pop and the main difference is that the the Ritzy is more projected than the Soda Pop. I would actually say that the Soda Pop runs truer to size while the Ritzy is a bit more voluminous in the cups. If the Cleo Maddie in 28FF fits you then the Soda Pop in 28FF will be a good bet.

helpfulI got Entice from a x catalogue store about 6 months ago it was ridiculously small I felt two sizes up would have been a great fit but the shop only had a few random sizes so no go.
I think if it was me I would go for the 28g being full on top might work in your favour. The wires are on your breast tissue? it looks that way especially photo two. If the 28g was a bit too big maybe use cookies (is that the word) for a while.
The only drawback to the larger size on you I'm thinking the strap placement would that be ok with narrow shoulders and might the higher gore be uncomfortable?.
I'm not the fit expert but just thought I would mention my experiance.Updated on November 13, 2015 Flag this

Thank you Pompomfarm for the help! Yeah, considering that this bra feels about 1 and a half cup sizes too small, I think the 28FF would still be a half cup too small, and maybe the 28G a half cup too large. Which, as you said, I could just fill with cookies (yes that is the word :P) to fill in any small gaps. If the straps were too wide, I could bring them in.
Hmm I didn't think about the gore. I totally forgot to take a front picture to see how high it sits currently (it's packed up to return so I can't put it back on) but it felt like it sat much lower than the Ritzy, probably because my breasts wanted to smash it down, haha. According to the Ritzy and Tease Me dimensions in 28G, the gore is the same height as 28FF and 28F, at 3.1 inches, so hopefully it wouldn't sit too much higher. :) The wire length is longer, and the wing height is higher, so I think the wire would just sit higher in the armpit and stay the same at the gore, which is perfectly fine with me!
Basically, now I just have to hope that the 28G I get is true to size and not another too-large fluke, like my Ritzy turned out to be. Maybe it will even be a bit too small!! :P Either way I hope it works out. I've never had a 3-piece lingerie set before!

Thanks melifish for your suggestion. That's wise advice to follow, but I'm very hesitant because if I have to end up sending it back twice, I will have paid for the bra over again in return shipping fees. :(
I've had the same thing happen with the Entice bra about 2 years ago. It ended up running very tiny, and I thought it was just a fluke, but after more sizes were added, it ran small across all sizes. I just wish there were more bras to compare it to. Thanks again.
