Bra fitting help » Cups and band too small, possible cup collapse. Help with Comexim size and cut?
Comexim » Mimi Half Cup (288) » 60K 28:11
Issue resolved
Most likely going to try a 70J or somewhere thereabouts, if I try a Comexim half-cup again, although I think lcl0706 may be right that it's just a shape mismatch for me. The other option I will likely try is an Anna Pardal For Comexim half-cup, since I find that her reduced cups aren't nearly as tall as Comexim's reduced cups.
Original problem
The band is definitely too small, the cups seem to be too with the quad-boob and possible cup collapse.
I can get it on with an extender (which is how I got it on for fit pics) but otherwise wouldn't be able to clasp it, I don't think.
Also, the quadding is actually worse than it looks in the pictures. I reverse swoop-and-scooped to get enough boob into the cups to prevent nipple display.
I CAN clasp my Queen of Hearts plunge (65K) without an extender, but am using one to break it in. Are my issues with this bra entirely size-related? Or is it a shape mismatch? Should I stay away from half-cups, or try again with a 3-part? (This one is 2-part.)
Also, if I try again with Comexim half-cups, what size should I try?

helpfulWell this is a size smaller than your queen of hearts plunge & the general rule of thumb I see is to size up in the half cups. I would tell you to try at least your plunge size of 65K, if not a 65L. However, the wires are already too wide for you in this 60K and it's a single seam - the 2 seam HCs will likely be even wider. It may be that Comexim half cups are not your jam. The wires on my Sonia HC were too wide & I had to bend them narrower. I have a Victoria coming at some point, but so far I'm finding I like EMs CH/CHP half cups better (don't tell Anna lol).

helpfulTelling from the 3.5" difference in measurements of your ribcage and the stretched band, I would size up 2 band sizes in this particular style. Black bras generally run smaller, so I would size up to a 70 just for this style. 65 might be your go-to size in other Comexim styles (which are not black/dark and therefor stretchier), but this one runs particularly tight.
Talking about cup size, it's a little difficult to judge, because the band size is way off (even with an extender). My expectation is that the sister size of 70HH would not fit too badly on you. Telling from experience, a wider band will make the cups way roomier and give you more cup depth, so sizing up in both band and cup you are likely to end up with a bra that's too big overall.
Also, the cups don't really scream "to small" in the pictures, seems just like their shape is off, not giving you the projection and depth in the cup that you need (and in places where you need it, like near the center gore). A wider band would remedy this issue.
Last but not least, halfcups are meant to fit rather small-ish. No one wants a halfcup shape to fit like a turtleneck shirt.Your size will differ from Comexim bra to Comexim bra (their halfcups run a little small), but generally I would try around the 70HH/65J/65K size range.

Thank you! I'd heard CHs/CHPs actually tend to be narrower. I have one on the way in 65GG, the same size my S Kamea is. I've never found a half-cup that fits, but I'd like to!
